Hi, 1st time poster here. We have used lego for years but mainly "sets" rather than building with base. We also had some small green bases and it's quite good so decided to upgrade. I got both kids the large lego base (11024) and a brick only set (11030). However the kids are really struggling to make bricks stick to grey base. Base is so thin and bricks just don't seem to "fit properly" on th3 base even with some force. Worried that we might break it. Putting a hand underneath the base helps but it dislodges other bricks already fixed as the base flexes. I hope this makes sense.
Both the base and bricks are genuine lego. Any suggestions or tips please?
