  3. Hey guys I have two auctions up on ebay to help out the Red Cross, take a look: Mace: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 RC Clone: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 Thanks Jared
  4. You can also visit my site: www.Fineclonier.com I have been selling some lately on ebay as well. Jared
  5. Thanks, I hope so. I am pretty proud of how it turned out. Jared
  6. I could paint the studs, but if you actually look at images of the droid you will notice that there is a rectangle of color right under the head. The studs create this for you so I didn't think they should be covered. Plus if you do remove the head this area would wear quickly and like remove any treatment you might make. Just my thought. Oh here are some reference images: http://www.glimpses-essential.com/starwars...ke/r4-g9_01.htm
  7. Well here is my special project that has been in the works: This figure will go up in an Ebay auction that will go live tonight at 7 pm PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) This link will be valid then: Picture is the link. Jared "Kaminoan" Burks
  8. R4-G9: Geenine Picture is link to BS folder Reference Images I have some special plans for this little astromech, so be on the look out! History: Having lost his faithful R4-P17 astromech droid during the space battle to rescue Chancellor Palpatine, Obi-Wan Kenobi was outfitted with a new brassy-colored droid for his mission to Utapau. In his quest to find Grievous and bring an end to the Clone Wars, Kenobi flew with R4-G9 (Geenine) on his starfighter's wing. Playing a decoy gambit, Obi-Wan instructed the loyal droid to pilot his Jedi starfighter offworld while he secretly remained behind in order to track down the deadly General. Why R4-G9: When the Jedi starfighter development program transitioned from the wedge-shaped Delta-7 Aethersprite model to the forked Eta-2 Actis interceptor, Obi-Wan Kenobi was one of the first Jedi to pilot the next generation model. In doing so, he temporarily left R4-P17 model behind, since the truncated astromech was specifically designed for the Delta-7. In the interim, he was briefly assigned R4-G9. Uncomfortable with piloting to begin with, Kenobi eliminated as many unknowns as he could by requisitioning a direct link between his two droids to transfer all flight performance history from Arfour to Geenine. Special Note: The color scheme of R4-G9 was selected by vote by members of Hyperspace: The Official Star Wars Fan Club in the summer of 2003.

  13. Thanks for the comments guys. Here is a link with some reference pictures for this guy: R4-M9 Jipay, all the different colors and designs for astromechs are available through the Fine Clonier. If you are wanting the art placed on brickshelf or some other site for download this is possible as well. Plus, we at MCN are working on a new downloads section with just this type of material. The problem I have faced with these designs is the shear number of colors the droids come in and getting them all up for download with all the little alterations. If there is one in particular you want up let me know and I will put it up for you. Jared I am working on other astromechs, just be patient. If you want to see some of my other R2 units check these out: Custom Astromechs
  14. Ok Guys and Girls I was inspired by Tzidik over at FBTB so I made some decals for this little guy. Here he is in all his spendor: Image is a link to more pictures and will require the folder to go public so please be patient. What do you guys think? Jared
  15. Thanks Sarg, I had fun with the contest. Congrats to everyone who entered, specifically Languanges. Take it easy Sarg, you don't want this coming back and getting you, make sure you take the next few days easy. Jared
  16. Does anyone know if Sarg is still sick? I am guessing this is why we haven't heard from him yet. If this is the case, get to feeling better. Jared

Suvie is correct. MCN and Redbean Studio's is currently having sever issues and we are trying to get it repaired as soon as possible. Keep checking back. Jared
  18. Glad to see that there were several more entries. I have been out of town without internet so many of these are new to me and I have to say well done. I like the creative ways to make figures without using minifig torsos/legs. I have thought about making some little robots for some time with this technique, just need to find time to play. Also I am a huge fan of vingettes. I actually want to build a display for my custom figs with room to have a few vingettes featuring them on every shelf. So I like seeing these to get some inspiration. I really like the "action" shot types. Thank you to any and all who have voted for me. All in all I have to say good contest and well done to all. Jared
  19. 2 days remaining, get your entries in soon. Jared
  20. Hey guys, just got back from my wedding/honeymoon. Glad you guys like my commandos. I tried to Legoize the designs and take design elements from the Lego clone troopers yet keep the cool design elements from the game. I had a ton of fun with them and I am very proud of how they turned out, I was a bit worried about Sev. Anyway, I want to encourage all to enter, I love seeing these types of customs and would like to see a little vingette or two. This contest is really the only reason I jumped on the designs the way I did and I am glad that it was started because I had a ton of fun playing, I normally don't do these kinds of things, but I was just excited about them. Anyway, thanks for the contest, please post more entries. Jared
  21. Jon, I have taken a large X-acto knife and cut off the fin from a CT helmet. When I get the fin removed to the level that I want I then clean up the area with Brasso. Brasso being a micro abrasive lightly sands the area removing any scratches I might have made and returns the high shine to the piece. You have to put the brasso on a rag and run alot, but if done correctly the piece looks like it was made this way. Brasso is a great solution and works well when modifing any piece of plastic. Jared
  22. Here are my entries: Didn't have 4 batteries to light all four at once, but they all do have light-up heads: Here is the whole directory: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=123914 Please let me know what you guys think. Jared
  23. Jipay, At the moment with my wedding approaching I am trying to raise some funds, so if I have to sacrifice some time to do that then that is what I have to do. So to answer your question yes I have made some profit by selling custom MFs. Basically when I list them on ebay plus the parts cost and the decals I have about $5 in the average figure, which is why I start them at $5. So I am not being paid for the application unless the figure sells for more than $5, and I have had several sell for the $5-7 range, which means I didn't make any thing really. For example the R2 units dome takes me at least an hour to just apply the decals, so it is time consuming. But on the whole I have managed to make some wedding funds, just not going to pay for it with custom fig profits, might get Amber and me a nice dinner on the honeymoon though. Jared
  24. Glad you like them, Here is the latest batch of clones General Veers: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT Darth Bandon: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT Grey/Silver Astromech R2: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT AT-AT Commander: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT What do you think of the new AT-AT commander designs?
