LEGO City 2025 SETS - Leaks, rumours, discussion. (Animals too)
Brick900 replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I see, all the subthemes in one set. Something we have not seen before. If you think about it, we’ve always had sets like that. Starting with 60026 Town Square in 2013, then 60097 two years later. It is not unrealistic either because cities do have many buildings. And for those who thought City was lacking buildings, those were options. Only, people would complain about high prices. What we saw in 60363 back in 2023 might make some think back to the older days of City, when they say we had more of a vehicle/building balance. The only thing is if you start looking through the list of sets you find we didn’t have very many like that. We had quite a few stand-alone vehicles back in the day of the “Great Vehicles” subtheme. And while City has had many changes throughout the years, that style of set continues to this very day. -
Technically since the deal was reported about five years ago now, the deal would last until around this time.

The most recent one-off reveal is the new Baby Astronaut GWP:

I've noticed with the volume of sets releasing, there don't always have a single thread for even some Icons sets, so here is a thread for discussion of recent set reveals. Not rumors, just reveals and new sets. I know there may be more. Let's start off with some recent reveals. LEGO announced they would make sets for Bluey, so here are some of them: We also have two new sets in the Botanicals line:

Anyone remember LEGO Fusion? -
This is a modified version of the set 31050 Corner Deli. The design is expanded to contain several extra rooms as well as a drive-through (it has a fence at the end to contain the 32x32 baseplate).

Now this set has some interesting parts but noticed they have barely been used since. The two parts of interest are those that make up the caravan. The base of the vehicle and the two on top of it.

I've noticed no thread exists to discuss LEGO's website, LEGO.com. The site has undergone a few updates in the last few years, so worth opening one up to discuss online ventures of LEGO.

When it comes to similar platforms, there actually used to be Mocbuilder as well, but that is no longer up and running.

I think however with Blockheads the difference somewhat is that Rebrickable is more accommodating for professional builders, although anyone can post on there, and usually the builds have instructions, while Blockheads is more of a MOCPages style platform, more amateur. I do recall that LEGO opened up the Insiders Community at insiderscommunity.lego.com where members of the Insiders Club could post models, but it didn't last long and shut down relatively shortly after it opened. Before that there was Rebrick, which was also similar in that regard. But now LEGO doesn't really have much of a platform to do this. A lot of people won't even need a specialized website to post builds, because they just post them on Flickr, Instagram, etc.

Barely any activity on there anymore. Likes aren't all there is to it, but just noticing there are barely any likes or comments on creations. If this website was started, say, twenty years ago, I could see it getting traction, especially at a time when specialized websites were more of a thing. To some people it seemed very promising when it was started a few years ago. Has anyone heard of this website? Blockheads: a new place to share your MOCs | Brickset

Anyone notice there hasn't been much news about this since a few years ago? There are still projects on there but not much has come of them.
