  1. Steve and Bucky just simply walked away after incapacitating Tony's armour, that doesn't come across as particularly vengeful. It's not like they left him critically injured, and his suit did still have some semblance of mobility. This is someone who could hack the A/V system of a supermax prison with three presses of his watch, I doubt he was ever in any real danger of being stranded in Siberia, plus he was shown to be carrying a phone prior to his helicopter suit-up. While Tony's immediate anger in that moment was kind of understandable, I wouldn't hold Bucky accountable for anything he did while brainwashed, and I doubt Marvel does either. One of the goals of his apology tour in the D+ show was to rehabilitate his in-universe public image by creating a clear division between the two personas, although he did also feel a degree of personal guilt since he retained his memories from that time despite not being in control. His role was fairly undercooked though, the main storyline was about Sam coming into the Cap role, and Bucky's subplot was about distancing himself from the Winter Soldier persona, yet the finale's end title card read "Captain America and The Winter Soldier", which really puts into perspective how much of an afterthought Bucky's whole plotline was.
  2. They did kinda fumble the GWP figures, but maybe it's for the best that there aren't any exclusive prints other than a rubber chicken tile. The use of dark tan for Hopper's beard makes me realise that I could use Bro Thor's head for him, with a beanie covering the alternate side. Of all the face prints in currently available sets, this feels like the closest to his look in season 5.
  3. As much as I dislike the idea of locking main characters behind a timed exclusive GWP, I think I may fall for the FOMO just this once. The official reveal should be soon right? The set doesn't seem to spoil anything past the episodes that have already been released.
  4. I wonder if the live-action Moana movie will get any tie-in sets, it would be kind of ironic if the only minifig based on Dwayne Johnson's likeness had hair and a double-sided head.
  5. What if Lego Batman in the third act of his movie says, "Lego Batman, what a joke," throws his mask away, and wears Rick Flag's shirt in his honour
  6. Does this mean you can't even unlock villains in to use in free play mode? If so, that's kind of awful.
  7. It looks like the Epic Battle sets are designed just to be dioramas that fit on that specific circular black base, so there probably wouldn't be too many side builds, play features, or extra characters. The subline seems to suit 1v1 or 1v2 fights much more than larger-scale scenes like the Battle on Titan, which I think should be done in a similar style to the recent AoU Sokovia and CW Airport dioramas. I'd like to see Tony vs. Iron Monger in this style - the last one felt needlessly oversized, and 5-6 years is probably enough time for a remake. And maybe Batman vs. Bane for the DC side This would be ideal, surely Lego wouldn't have made a new Winter Soldier torso print and only use it once (inaccurately) in the Civil War set? Since the black printed name tile seems to be following the SEO naming conventions listing all the characters involved, I really want the plaque to read: Spider-Man: No Way Home Green Goblin vs. Spider-Man, Spider-Man, and Spider-Man Genuinely thought it was a Hal Jordan mech at first glance
  8. There's something almost cruel about giving Cap dual-molding and leg printing but limiting it to only one leg on a half-venomized version, especially since they'll probably never use it on a normal minifig of him. The Bugle does look great though, it'll probably need some modifying for a bit of extra width, but I do far prefer this design/colour scheme to the basic grey office building design used for the D2C. Really glad they were able to re-use the Rhino piece from the 4+ sets before the mold was discontinued, and his mech looks surprisingly decent as well, not nearly as unfitting as the previous times they've included mechs in regular sets.
  9. This is probably a retcon meant to absolve him of any implied deaths due to collateral damage, but World War Hulk does establish that part of his subconscious does make sure to avoid casualties. The line "as long as your brain hasn't been tampered with" is meant to get around the instances of mind control or induced hallucinations, which were at play in most of his deadlier rampages. Although this rule probably wasn't the case in the earlier MCU or some other adaptations.
  10. Hulk doesn't necessarily belong in the same category as Punisher or Wolverine, it isn't that common for him to purposely commit murder when he's in control.
  11. The partially transformed approach is my absolute nightmare scenario for Symbiote Spidey
  12. Steve's minifig was definitely the biggest misfire out of all of them, he almost looks like the 10th Doctor to me. I know the Peter Parker head is overused in a lot of themes but I do honestly think it would have fit him better here. As for a better hairpiece, maybe Han Solo's could work? The picture is too low-quality to tell if Robin reuses Hermione's face or the new one introduced for Nami in One Piece, the latter would be a strange choice though since she never really registered as ginger to me, especially not compared to Max or her crush from marching band. Dark tan seems like a better choice for her hairpiece, unfortunately that specific one with the fringe doesn't yet exist in that colour, I might take one from an extra Thor minifig instead. Nancy likeness was probably rendered the best, the re-use of the Gabby's Dollhouse piece for her poofy 80s hair was a solid choice, and it looks like her face print is completely new, I'm glad it wasn't the Jyn Erso head again.
  13. This is really promising, 13 minifigs would seem to cover the entire main cast with the 6 younger kids, 4 older teenagers, Hopper & Joyce, and probably Vecna. Too bad about Eddie though if it's based on S5. The upcoming Goonies set is probably the easiest thing to compare it to, with a similar price/piece count and 12 minifigs. They were able to include unique torsos for each of the characters, and a couple of new molds, so I imagine it will be the same here. Would this not be breaking Lego's rule about R-rated media though? I'm not sure if it works the same for streaming shows as it does for regular movies/tv shows.
  14. Official pics of BttF DeLorean are out now, it's easily become my favourite of the licensed Speed Champions sets. The fact that they were able to include both Doc and Marty really makes the similarly-priced 2026 Batmobiles look like such a worse deal in comparison, with only one minifig each.
  15. This is actually fairly surprising since the new season is MA 15+ and Netflix has retroactively applied that rating to the whole show. The Creel house seems the most likely choice, although hopefully they would take a different approach to it than with the previous set, having both the regular version and the upside down variant of the same building just seems superfluous to me.
