Thank you. When I saw Furno XL in the store I wasn't feeling the new look for the Furno Character. I had been wanting to redesign my MOC Firelord for quite a while now, and thought the new parts, especially that cape, and sword would be perfect, and fitting for the Fire Lord character. A new bone structure, armor, and some fire pieces, and I'm happy with how this version turned out.

Yes, I tried that, but it is so large that it covered all the nice detail of the new torso, which I really like. I do agree something in the center would help, but I want something smaller, but I've not found a good fit yet. Thank you for the comments.

th a gunmetal one and mod Furno´s sword a little. Cirkit: He´s connected the `outside` part of the leg to a second torso beam. I tried a pair of gunmetal cores at first, but the silver helped to ditribute the colors more evenly The original weapon can be alternated in at any time. I like the original too, but I'm really digging the new sword. Yes, that's correct about the second torso beam, but not on the hip ball, but a swiveling ball joint mounted on the spine. The second torso also serves to make Fire Lord taller. The proprotions of the original looked so akward, I felt the bones had too be almost completely redone. I'm certain there will be more mods in the future, it's no fun to "finish" absolutely a Lego creation.

To me, this figure looks like an evil version of Furno.

OK, I finished Rebuilding Fire Lord, using many of Furno XL's, and other newer parts. Articulation, and range is much better than both the original Fire Lord, and Furno XL....Also he's on fire: Checkout my Version 1, and some of my other MOCs here: http://mocpages.com/home.php/81246

Fantastic review. Thank you for posting it. Core Hunter's few flaws will be easy enough to fix. I love that mask. Mine should be in my hands on Monday.

Hero Factory series one villian revamps
acidophilus replied to zero1312's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Huge improvment over the original XPlode's arms. Your Thunder is my favorite of the group. -
Exactly. As long as you're having fun building it's all good.

Nice review. I'm very much looking forward to reading what you think of Core Hunter.

Wasn't the name Bionicle a fusion of the words bio, and chronicle. The bio part referring to a biological aspect of the characters, and universe they lived in. I though they were hybrid beings. EDIT: I just rechecked the information. Yes, Bionicles are part organic. Hero factory's character are all robot, but I could imagine some form of energy reformating their structure.

Seconded.

Very cool idea. I like your first one best.

I agree. I would like to see a new mask/helmet that retains enough of the features of the character that we all know, but is a new mold. Also it would be interesting to see a new version of him incorporating the new Hero Factory parts that have been produced since the original's release in wave one.

Wow, I love the way this figure looks! Coolest Stormer yet! Really great new parts. I ordered two off amazon yesterday, one for parts, and to modify the first. Thank you for the excellent review.

Cool review. I bought a Voltix off amazon yesterday. I plan on doing a lot of modding to this guy, I'm thinking more purple, and gunmetal, but reduce the number of colors overall.

That would make sense, I mean you would think that would be a character they would be trying to promote with that figure just released, but Core Hunter does not have hands that match those seen in that episode, not even close. I took a closer look at the hand of Von's animation model, and they are Von Nebula's hands. They are a 100% match to his animation model's hands. Look at the hands starting at 22:00 of the episode here: , then check out the larger picture of Von's animation model here: http://hf.biosector01.com/wiki/File:TV_Von_Nebula.jpg

At the end of Breakout part two we are told that Black Phantom sent the plans to hero factory to someone unnamed, followed by a scene where we see a dark room with a computer displaying the plans, and a hand touching the screen that matches this guy's animation model exactly: Look at the hands starting at 22:00 of the episode here: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=lBqHAicFqVs , then check out the larger picture of Von's animation model here: http://hf.biosector0..._Von_Nebula.jpg So might this mean we will get a new incarnation of Von Nebula in the near future? I loved the original version, and had a blast customizing it into this: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/289220 I would love to see a new version on the selves.

The 2.0 shield does work very well. I add them to all my Hero Factory MOCs. There is one on my MOC EVO figure, pictures can be seen here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=63781

Thanks for the feedback. I prefer my mostly symmetrical remake of this guy, but I understand how many prefer an asymmetrical look better, I do as well on many figures, but to each his own as they say. I think the deep level of customization, and the ease of alteration is my favorite thing about Lego figures, and MOCs. I like the Tech pattern as well, and it's not completely covered by the 2.0 chest plate, the printed pattern can still be seen though the chest plate, and so it looks to be the inner working of Evo, I thought it a nice detail. Articulation is very important to me, so anything I build it's at the forefront of my mind. So to answer your question, no it does not inhibit the arm movement at all.

Found the parts, made the changes, new pictures up now.
