So hello guyz! I'm new to Eurobricks. Recently, I got an EV3 Education Set. I wanted to remote control my robots with custom control without the commander app.
However, the beacon was too expensive, at like $40 for a used model for Bricklink. But then Philo's article on the IR Remote for NXT with the PF Receiver caught my eye.
Then I wondered, is this possible too with the EV3? Or maybe, let's say, the Chinese 2.4GHz radio control IR Receiver? 2.4GHz is evidently better than infrared light receiver (It works under strong sunlight with a range of up to 30m). You can find those sold at gobricks.cn.
Anyone know if Philo's procedure will work on the EV3 with a chinese remote?
