LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
GiantDinosaur replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm quite sure who to quote to post this, but I'd be fine with any set with Cobblepot. As long as he is not Arkham City style. -

Yeah. Imagine if they released the Mad Hatter without his hat :/ -
I've seen pretty much everything listed at TRU, they always have a little shelf for them near the cash register.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion

I thought Two Face's nausea inducing color scheme was a color error, as the leaked pictures aren't exactly great. If it is the real color scheme, then I see a massive price increase for the old Two Face, it'll be the new Catwoman... -

I'd like to see something with Hugo Strange, Killer Croc, or Man-Bat. -
I am going to assume this is the story: David Ivan Nohunter (Commonly known as D.I.Nohunter) and his friends are capturing escaped dinos from the research compound!

With Lloyd's double sided head (One, innocent, scared face and an evil face), I wonder if he is going to be a double agent for Garmadon? Or maybe he is immortal and cannot age and is pulling off an innocent act to fool the ninjas into thinking that he can do no evil, steals the weapons, hypnotizes the snakes, and sicks them out on Garmadon and the ninjas, which would be why the guy talking about it some time ago said Garmadon would work with the ninjas, as he would help fight off the snake army when they get overrun and need to use the air ship. Or maybe he is evil and gets scared easily (The probably answer)?

I love this ship, may I ask a question?: What does the poster look like?

There were going to have the bat cave be a contest prize? Were they, like, giving it to the 1000th person to pick up a minifig or something? Or do you mean the Superheroes contest? -
LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion

Well, now that I've seen all the new pics, I can give my opinions: Catwoman Battle: I don't like it, it's like they made the old set again just to ruin the rarity of the fig. Batcopter vs Joker: I love the new Joker. That is all. Lex Luthor Mech: I can see this being a store exclusive set. That is all. Two Face Chase: Same opinion as Catwoman. Batcave: I love it. It's campy like the Adam West Batman movie. I am hoping that there will a couple design changes to cut down on the ton of stickers. Sets I hope will be in the next wave: Arkham Asylum: Like the old one, but will have Clayface. Batcopter Vs. Penguins Submarine: Adam West Batman, Robin, a Batcopter, and a big, detailed The Penguins submarine. Come with a shark, the great white variant so that, he can grasp onto Batman. Some Marvel Vs. DC set. A set with Martian Manhunter. A set with Aquaman -

I... did not use any smilies... and I cannot see how one can perceive it as ironic. -

I believe this to be fake. As you can see, it lacks a skateboarder or a person doing snow sports. -

That would be good, too. Maybe the batcopter could be a small vehicle and the submarine being the main portion of the set, like the old submarine set but instead of a robin submarine a Batman and Robin Batcopter. -

I'm hoping that in the next wave there will be the batcopter, a bad guy boat, and a shark, just to make this theme the best theme ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0UJaprpxrk -
That doesn't mean they won't start. I am also hoping that that if this line is successful, they will have a research facility with a Stegosaurus.
-
Oh. Oh well. It still comes out in 2012 so I can still hope that is the storyline (Which it probably isn't, they are mutants are something again probably).

It's probably just me with the eyes. And you are right about the Skycrane, but I'm willing to bet some of those stickers are designed to keep some of the pieces together. I was right about it being Lavatraz-ish. I wonder how they will make it so that the kids can make the T-Rex break out, just open the doors or will there be a cool feature to make it explode? And why does LEGO always seem to have one female fig, but it always is in a big expensive set? I thought they were done with that terrible rubbery dinosaur mold. I was wrong. This raptor is cool. The towers need more SNOT. The guy in red is weird, and the vehicles are too tiny. What's with the jars of mystery substance? Is that holding the goo for the missiles? Also judging by the buildings in the background, I wonder if the name "Dino 2012" means that there was a dinousaur apocolypse and these are the last survivors . Probably not.

Underwater Month Avatar Contest Winners

The winning models are pretty sweet. I wish I had joined earlier and joined it for that nifty tag. Also the next contest should be dinosaur related. -
Amazon Ancient Ruins 5986 Review

I had one of these! It was awesome, it went well with the zeppelin. I can't remember if the box was one of those fold up the lid ones though. Can't tell from the picture. Anyone want to jog my memory, I always thought the sets with the flap lids were the best, I kept those! -
Thanks everyone. I'm not the man eating or singing and dancing kind, I am a... Brontosaurus I guess.

My 2 Cents: Raptor Set: Nice! I don't see what use the Barricade has though, can't it just jump over it? I do, however, enjoy the truck. The crane was a good idea and it has a nice design. The raptor does look pretty nifty, too. Tower and Pterodactyl: Yay, a somewhat non-pricey way to get a pose-able Pterodactyl (Though not like the one in Dino Attack/2011). It the gun a new piece or is it just a regular Star Wars gun with an added piece? The net launcher...thing is getting kinda old though, but the tower is somewhat neat. I'm wondering if the fish on a stick is bait of some sort. The smallest set: I have no idea what the dinosaur is supposed to be, and it is arguably the ugliest thing I have ever seen. It looks like a good army builder, with a fantastic sized dinosaur for an impulse set, the gun, a car, and a tree. The Triceratops Set: Awesome. Simply awesome. The truck is great, we could potentially use that in any Dino related set ever because it's a good enough size to hold almost any of the dinos, except maybe the T-Rex. It is also quite well designed. The Triceratops has the best pre-release design I've ever seen, the printing is perfect. Hydroplane: This looks like it's going to be an exclusive set, judging by the lack of anything new in it. The plane is still cool and the Pterodactyl also has a special coloration just for us people who only buy big sets for stuff exlclusive to it. T-Rex Chase: Derp. Look at the eyes on that thing. They are blank and ugly. The helicopter isn't nearly big enough to carry the T-Rex. And look at all the stickers on that thing! Probably the worst out of them all, I hope they fix it with the official release to not be so... terrible. Though the claw is the perfect size for the Triceratops. The base: Judging by the tiny picture of it, it's a giant circular cage with a tower. Similar to Lavatraz. It also has a giant yellow T-Rex and looks like it's meant for it to be able to smash through the doors. There is also a non-printed dinosaur, I can't tell what it is. There's a small car, and what looks like a guy in a red suit. I can't really share my mind about it without a larger photo though.

Hello everyone. As you may have guessed, my favorite themes center around dinosaurs. They have seemed to be what entertained me, and I was overjoyed when Dino Island came out with all the new dinosaurs ,5987-1: Dino Research Compound being my favorite thing ever until I somehow ended up losing everything in the dark ages. Since then I have attempted to get everything back, almost always stalking eBay for an okay or great deal on some old stuff. My favorite LEGO set is 5987-1: Dino Research Compound as you probably already know. The theme I am looking forward to the most is Dino 2012, and am praying it isn't LEGO's yearly one wave theme (But it probably is).
