Thank you for the reply, but in the US the EV3 + NXT is a lot less expensive than 31313 and 45544.

Hello! I am probably going to get a NXT set (not education) for myself because of the low price on eBay and I am wondering if it would be worth it to get an EV3 brick by itself and use that instead of the NXT brick because all the previous sensors and motors are compatible. If I do this, I could also get an ultrasonic sensor (EV3) and use a power functions remote which is important to me. Thanks for reading! P.S: Should I get NXT 1.0 or 2.0? 2.0 would be easier sense there are more available.
