I'll be in England over the next week, just wondering if these are still available in stores?

Just came back from a visit to Legoland in Billund and they have Series 8 Minifigures available all over. I was able to find all the ones I wanted using the 'feel' method. They also have this cool thing where you can trade your unwanted minifigures with ones at the cash register.

I just grabbed the Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape(I'm looking at it right now) using the 25% off coupon and I think $75 is worth it. I didn't realise Toys R Us were also giving a free base plate if you spent over $50 on Lego so I was quite pleased with my shop at Toys R Us today. I also ended up grabbing some Lego bag tags and led lights. There were a heap of LOTR sets at Majura Park Toys R Us. I went to David Jones as well in Canberra City and there were a few sets marked down (sorry I can't remember which ones). I'm still on the lookout for the Modular Pet Store but no luck!

Not sure if I'm posting this in the right area but anyway - I'm looking to visit Legoland in Billund and Legoland in Windsor was wondering if people could advise how many days you would need to see everything for each of the parks.

I can also confirm, I picked up all the Series 7 Minifigures I wanted today. One happy camper. Both the Toys R Uses in Canberra have Series 7 but Majura Park has more in stock. Happy hunting!

Anyone seen the modular pet shop at any David Jones stores in Melbourne?

My significant other got me the 2 Harry Potter Hogwarts castle sets for my Birthday (which I had been eying off for a while) which started my collecting. My significant other is not currently a Lego fan, but I'm trying to convert him! He likes Star Wars so I got him the new Millenium Falcon set for Christmas! Hopefully this will just be the start.

Looks awesome! I've just recently gotten into the modular buildings and it's so interesting to see how creative people can be.

I thought it was pretty well packed, there seemed to be a generous amount of packing paper. The outer box was slightly dented but the Lego box itself is in pretty good condition. A corner is slightly squashed but it's really minor and you wouldn't really see it unless you looked very closely. The shipping was 9.45 euros for the Grand Emporium

Just received my Grand Emporium from Amazon.fr. Got it while it was still 110 euros and couldn't be happier The outside box was dented slightly but the Lego box itself is in perfect condition. This is my first purchase from Amazon.fr and first modular building purchase. I'll be looking at geting the Fire Brigade next. I can't believe how much cheaper things are compared to the Australian sellers. Shipping was less than 7 days, normal shipping too. Can't wait to build it!

Me too! I'd love to have all the characters of Harry Potter in Lego form. I've been thinking, since they've had to design all the characters and sets for the Years 5-7 game anyway, wouldn't they want to use these designs for more Lego sets as well? I'm also hoping that they re-release some of the other older sets as well such as the Shrieking Shack and Harry and the Hungarian Horntail.

Great creation. I really like the integration of the tree and the cottage. It looks as though this cottage could be found in some secluded forest.

I've supported bringing both these sets. I think you make a valid point Andy D. I'm relatively new to Lego and I would like the opportunity to purchase both these sets but not at an overinflated price. I'm in a quandary about whether I should purchase the existing modular buildings in the hope that they re-release the older sets so my collection can be complete. As someone else suggested, maybe the box design could be changed so that people can differentiate between the first release and subsequent re-releases. I think that if there is enough demand and Lego can make money off re-released sets then why wouldn't they. They wouldn't have to redesign the sets and I don't know how much of an issue it would be to get these sets in production again. Just my two cents.

Great Review! I'm still pretty new to Lego but I think there is something about the Winter sets that just seem to have that special something that you just have to have one for yourself. I hope I get one of these soon. I wonder what they will come up with next year!

I'm a newbie to Lego, so I was just wondering with Myer and Target what are the normal percentage off sales which come around. At the moment Target has 20% and I was just wondering if it ever is any bigger?

Thanks for the links to the documentary. I just finished watching it and really enjoyed learning about the process for making a Lego set from start to finish. I too would love to be a Lego designer!

Just wondering if anyone can clarify if it's $30 or more on HP Lego sets or just Lego sets in general because it doesn't seem to say specifically HP sets. I was wondering about the Lab set too - anyone know how to get their hands on it?

I'm currently living in Canberra. What seems to be the mix of Aussies here?
