  1. I think it's more likely Dragon + Donkey. Shrek will sell plenty on his own, so might as well break up the main iconic duo.
  2. Called it! I'll set a set of them - maybe an extra of a few of them, we'll see. Hopefully there's enough budget to set some good accessories as well.
  3. Unikitty was at least a buildable figure with several parts - I think Donkey would either be a single mold or a body + head, like Scooby-Doo. In that context, I'm less sure which route Lego would go with.
  4. My biggest wish if they are going the Shrek route is that the series is "Shrek" and not "Shrek 5". I'd much rather have Farquad and Fairy Godmother over Shrek's kids. I also wonder what they would do with Donkey - does he get his own slot, or is he an accessory?
  5. Update from Bricktap on the September CMF: "I wouldn’t rule out a 2027 movie for the series after 29" Makes me think Shrek is back on the table.
  6. I think I'll give myself a half point for my Dragon Hatcher (the idea I had in my head is similar to the Monster Hunter), and maybe a tenth of a point each for predicting a food costume and a new tiara. So, .7 points for me!
  7. I took a quick peak at the trailer, and there's a lot of background characters or extra "Things 3-12" that could be used to fill some slots. Or, it could just be a general Seuss series to broadly tie-in with the movie, like what happened with Looney Tunes and Space Jam 2. For now, I'll either guess Seuss or Shrek - there's a chance the leakers didn't realize the movie was bumped back and got that bit wrong (it's happened before).
  8. One figure has now been leaked - Garbage Monster! With Lloyd and Tahu already rumored to come, that only leaves nine slots left... 1. Old-Timey Explorer (Charles Darwin-like minifig with dodo animal) 2. Salon Stylist (Female minifig with at least two brand new hair pieces for accessories - kinda like Dog Sitter from awhile back) 3. Hamburger Costume Girl (I know we jsut got a bunch of costumes, but I have a feeling one will sneak in regardless...) 4. Detective Gal (A nod to the now-public domain Nancy Drew, maybe even in greyscale like Noir Detective) 5. Proper Princess (Purple princess costume with new tiara, similar in style to Fantasy Era's princess) 6. Fire Demon (Mostly trans-orange, will immediately be hoarded by people wanting Johnny Storm customs) 7. Baker Woman (Featuring a new rolling pin mould and/or a piping bag) 9. Lion Costume Dancer (featuring a Chinese lion head and a cape to represent the body) 10. Dragon Hatcher (featuring a recolored purple gradon from D&D and a new color of egg)
  9. My Walmart had two boxes out when I stopped by this afternoon - one was almost full, and one was almost empty. Seem to be pretty popular thus far! I was still able to get everything I wanted, though: lion, monkey, croc, and frog (plus two other ones for gifts)
  10. We are getting the animal costume series in a week - I imagine anything Zootopia related would have to wait awhile to come out. And it might make just as much sense to only do Judy and Nick in a CMF, or maybe one set with 3-4 characters, as opposed to a full CMF.
  11. We can always hope that we get something with minifigs later, like Wicked ended up getting... Hopefully those sets were popular enough that Lego would consider it worth it! I'd be quite interested in a minifig-based set, but I'll pass on mini dolls.
  12. Of recent CMFs, I think D&D has probably been the most popular. They all disappeared very quickly, and despite regular restocks from several different stores, continued to sell out regularly. Non-IP - maybe Series 10 has a bit of an edge due to the Mr. Gold chase? Don't know if I would put money on that, though. There's definitely been some notable IP bombs, though - Simpsons 2 wasn't good, F1 still hasn't been able to sell near me, and Looney Tunes also struggled near me. Series 23 was also not super popular.
  13. A Bridge set (and potentially a Promenade, or even just Quark's from DS9) would be my ideal future for Star Trek sets. Not only could the cost easily be about half that of the entire Enterprise, but you could get all of the associated minifigures and give all of them something to do in a much more "playable" role. I'd love to set up some scenes of a crew with my Muppet minifigs, for example - not near as easy or fun to do that when all of the minifigs are just statically standing to the side of the ship. Zelda seems to potentially be going down a somewhat similar path (starting with a large model, then going to something smaller a few years later), so it could potentially be in the cards.
  14. My initial thought was that Ro could potentially share a head with Major Kira from DS9, so Ro was chosen to "get ahead" on prints. However, Kira wears her ear piece over the opposite ear from Ro, so that might not be the case...
  15. The ball of yarn is at least new. Turkey legs have been around for, what, nearly 20 years now?
