This will be perfect!! I don't like the classes under the Great Hall and the Kitchen with Dobby could look great.... But then I will need somewhere to put the Potion Class, ideally near to Snape potions pantry and Slytherin common room (that won't be accurate but it's how I would like them). I think I may need a building with empty rooms... but that is not gonna happen. It would be wierd to sell and empty building :-D I could buy the whole East Wing for a good library :-)
-
Is the Library in the East Wing? I would love the Lobrary with Harry in a transparent body (only a visible head) :-D I don't know if there is any tranparent body but it would be great for an invisible cloak, right?

I have taken a look to the Astronomy tower from 2020 and I don't like it too much, really :-D I want something more like the Owlery but a little bit bigger. The previous set has the are of the dinner and that make it too... something I don't like. I prefered a Main Tower without the Main part :-D
-
Oh, We don't have those books in Spain.... but there's no problem, my daughter has decided the Ravenclaw girl is Luna no matter what, so everybody happy :-D The problem with the GWP RoR is that I don't like it :-O I mean, I love the idea of a room plenty of things, and I really prefer one with Draco and Harry or Harry and Ginny full of random objets than the Order of the phoenix scene, but the Dumbledore Army has patronus so I think I can have lucky this year :-) On the other side, I don't care a lot about the Astronomy area but I really one a new tower, because the Main Tower is so big, I would like something with small romms (like Charms Class) in each level... four level would be great. But what we really want is more classes and characters.

Happy new year everybody!! After a loooot of months waiting, we have finally opened our Howgarts sets on Christmas morning... The problem with keeping the haul for so many month is that you forgot how many sets (and money) you have... 11 sets!! :-O It was so fun building them, and they look gorgeous. We got the Great Hall, the Boathouse, Potions and Charms, the Dueling club, the Greenhouse, the Owlery, Hagrid's hut and two Fords (one for each kid) And because here in Spain we have gifts also this morning (our Reyes Magos :-D) we got also two sidecars with Hagrid and Harry and the Sorting hat ceremony from the new wave. Of course, as soon as my kids built everything they started looking for new sets to add to the Castle :-D We obviosly missed the Main Tower because we have to eat too :-D but I have checked the retiring date and I think I can manage to get it for next Christmas (today is not to soon to start with Christmas wishes, right?) along with the new sets.... But my little one has fall in love with The Burrow (she doesn't understand we don't eat lego pieces...), so let me ask you if there is a good moment to buy it. I missed the Room of Requirements gift and I'm not sure if there will be any other set gifted before September. I guess the collectors sets don't lower their price... On the other side, any chance of getting this year a Howgart set with Luna minifig? I thought she was the minifig on the Hospital Wing but she is not, and she's my daughter favorite character. We hope for the Astronomy tower this year :-) and we really would like the Whomping Willow, any chance? I personally want a Sirius minifig and a set of the Room Requirements from the Dumbledore's Army...., but not sure if we can reach that book/movie if this is the last year of tha Castle, we hope is not. I can see sets for two more years :-D

I don't know about HBO shows, but Disney has a lot of shows set themes. Bluey, for example, has a new theme of its own, as well as other TV shows as Gabby or Peppa Pig. Of course, it's not the same, because there are no theatrical movie for them so there is no way to confuse the buyers, but I think it would be the same confusion as a black Little Mermaid in a random set not movie related as the Treasure Chest. I think they can brand them as they did with Fantastic Beast, everything under the Wizaring World theme, but with a different name and image (all new trio). I don't think they would stop releasing Harry Potter sets from the original movies, but I think they release enough sets per year to change three o four for the show. They can sell the last modules for the current castle along with some "new" scenarios for the show perhaps more playable sets, smaller and cheaper. Not sure which will be the age for the show, but Iif they will try to catch kids under 12 you have an entire new target without loosing those adults who buy 200€ sets :-D Not that I care about it :-D I just want the original castle. But I can see my girls wanting the new characters if they like the show (if they can watch it, of course) and they would not need to design huge building sets but just some pieces for a scene, like the Duelling club. But I have not info at all for the show, so now i'm gonna look for the cast to hate it properly :-P

Well, you never know. We got some sets for the new Little Mermaid, including a very expensive (and horrendous, in my opinion) collector set. Snowhite, on the other hand, got the cottage before the remake movie, probably because nobody wanted the movie set. Anyway, I doubt the series will give us too many new locations but it can be a good reason to remake everything again if it is popular for a new generation...
-
I understand you. The exact same thing happened to me with Disney, because, how many Frozen castle do you need? :-P Disney is in another remake era, so there aren't enough new movies to make sets, it's just the same and the same. The story books were a great new original thing and I wish they would stay with them as a collector thing at least, but... Harry Potter is worst because there no new material, anything new since the last movie and I think the fans are less opened to original set out of the canon... at least with Disney you can invent a set with a random horses and pets adventures .-P I do really hope this new castle will have sets for more than one more year because I'm pretty sure I wont buy another one by 2027... I will really need a new lego-friendly franchise for millenials adults by then :-D
-
Thanks :-) I was so excited to star the Harry Potter era at home, really :-D I read all the books as they were published, watched the movie, etc., and I was waiting my older girl's 11th birthday to give her my first book :-) She wants to read them by her birthday, so 2 books so far... though they have seen the first three movies. I really wanted a new Lego theme for them (us :-P) because Disney is not to much into colectors sets... I loved the story books, really, they were nice, compact, playable and with a lot of details and micro dolls, so perfect for us, but they ended them :-( and we didn't see all the princesses so... I hope this "the most detailed castle" will be more satisfying in that aspect. My older really loves all the details, mini pieces, printed tiles and stickers, my little prefers the big constructions, with long instructions books :-P and she wants a lot of wands and brooms. I really like the aesthetic of the buildings, love the class modules puizzle, and all the minifigs. So it looks perfect for all of us :-) I wasn't so excited since the Elves theme so I'm so happy to start this collection. I can't wait to see the Main Tower and all the sets coming.

Hi. Just a quick question. Did I miss the 30706 Quidditch Lesson polybag as gwp? I'm not sure if it has been release yet. Here, at home, we are new to Harry Potter sets (little girls have passed from Disney to Hogwarts now :-D) and they are excited with the new Hogwarts sets... not my wallet but :-O well, Disney is not cheap either :-D We cannot wait to see the Herbology class :--P

I'm not sure if the StoryBooks are good sellers... But there is a 19,99€ set for October (ref. 43223) that I think it would be an StoryBook for Wish.... although it has more pieces than average: 154 versus 100-130 pieces. I prefer sets but my daughters will add this to the wish list for sure. There is also another Princess set for October that could fit (ref. 43231) for 49,99€... but I guess any Wish set will probably be minidoll. I just hope it won't be a castle but with 509 pieces it won't be a forest or something like that...
