  1. This year is looking even rougher than last year, animal-wise. I wonder why there has been such a big shift compared to a few years ago?
  2. clone army building pigeon army building
  3. According to lego_minecraft_goat, Series 29 is coming in May. Looks to be a regular series, so hopefully we can look forward to some new animals!
  4. Us in Canada have to wait for the new parts anyways, but the fox just sounds like a bad joke. Isn't that close to the price of the orca? I can't imagine those will sell well at all - maybe we could see a price reduction in the future?
  5. Sorry, lego_minecraft_goat (ig)
  6. LMG is reporting there is likely no explorer subtheme for City next summer. Truly we are in dark times.
  7. Between the relatively lackluster summer wave (animal-wise) and 3 CMF series with no new moulds to offer, I can't believe we're looking at basically a year or more between substantial animal releases
  8. Fantastic! I was considering buying it off Bricklink, but obviously the aftermarket price is a bit hard to justify. Now it'll be easily accessible for more people!
  9. I could see them doing a shrimp as a printed tile not unlike the insects we've been getting recently in Friends, etc.
  10. I'll be constructing a summoning circle to manifest a series of animal moulds and not just costumes 🙏
  11. With double Insider points and a nice GWP coming later this week, I'll definitely be looking to stock up on some animals from PAB
  12. Fingers crossed for a more exciting 2026! Until then I'll be waiting on the pigeon to show up on PAB so I can start army-building 🕊
  13. Looking at this picture now, is the pigeon dual moulded with black and grey? It doesn't even really look like it has printing, just details in black plastic. Not a bad choice, I'm just curious what everyone else sees.
  14. So the arctic science truck has two regular grey wolves (nothing new there,) and a puppy recolored from the existing dog pup in tan with white face markings. Also the pigeons look great!
  15. New snail mould in the Animal Crossing line! It's unprinted, but has a stud on the back for attaching an ice cream swirl (aka poop) piece as the shell 🐌
  16. Definitely look more fox-like to me, but hopefully we'll get more photos soon
  17. Shame that it seems we may not get any other notable animals in the summer wave. I guess we'll have to hold our pigeons tightly and wait until next year
  18. Maxbautde reports that the Jango figure coming in August won't have arm printing (as present on the May UCS version of the same figure). Definitely a shame for most of us normal fans - hopefully at least the resellers and "muh exclusive figure" types will be kept quiet.
  19. I agree wholeheartedly. It does us as fans no good to draw a false equivalence between "secondary market value" and "how much this piece of plastic costs to put in a set". Minifigures in sets should be reasonably valued at about $3-4. Maybe closer to $5 if it's really fancy and uses new moulds. That's what Lego themselves prices them at in most of their basic sets (looking at trends over the past several years, including CMFs, battle packs, BAM stations, etc.) It's 100% on the buyer if they choose to spend hundreds of dollars on a rare figure just because it's desirable to them (*cough* Venator Rex *cough*).
  20. I'll definitely be getting the Spinosaurus in whatever set includes it! The others look decent though I'm not as bothered about adding them to my collection. I appreciate the detail on the Mosasaurus even if I wish it was moulded - on the plus side it matches nicely with the design of the T-rex from the last 18+ diorama.
  21. Excited to finally get a Spino mould, and it looks good! The Mosasaurus looks decent for what it is - I'm not shocked they went with brick-built, given how massive the moulds would have to be compared to existing dinosaurs/animals (though it would have been preferable). The other new dinos look pretty good too, though I'll wait for more set photos to form my final thoughts.
  22. I'm really excited to find out what we'll get with these new sets, and I think we're guaranteed to see major new mould(s). Mosasaurus and/or Spino would be huge wins!
  23. I would be grateful to see more research on this. It's become increasingly obvious how adult-focused the Star Wars theme is these days, and the lack of "pocket-money" sets compounds this. There are lots of good concepts (including revisiting old ones) that don't have to break the bank, and offer kids and adults alike both fun small builds and popular minifigs.
