  1. This was the fourth model I bought after I got back to LEGO. It has grown on me because I did not liked it at first, for some rare reason the tipping of the bed does not smoothly, it appears to get stuck somewhere. I have checked it and it gets stuck on the wheel lift mechanism and I have no idea how o fix it, anyone else had this situation? Cheers.
  2. Looks amazing, congrats on the mod. Now, your video is only making me want this set even MORE, and that is not a good thing hahaha. Cheers.
  3. This was my second set after the 8051 & a 20 year+ dark age...I was speechless when I was in half the building process, it really is fun to put together.
  4. I had a similar experience with my baby girl this Sunday. I bought her her first LEGO, one it was the Mater character from CARS and the other one was a "my first LEGO" kit, of course I've lend her my LEGOs once they're finished but NONE of them had the impact as these colorful briks, she totally loved them I had a blast building with her, I look forward to see her again this weekend and have a great time with our LEGOs. Cheers!
  5. I'm building a car out of it, using nothing but this pieces. Since it is my first MOC after a LONG time, it might take a while to finish.
  6. Your Countach > Your Vector I am thinking about buying one of those(instructions to either one of them), perhaps later on when I get tired of looking at my current Legos and my wife stops nagging me about finding them a proper place. Amazing cars by the way, hope you do great with the instructions sale :) Cheers.
  7. @PerryMakes, thanks for the heads up on the 8053, but since I bought it on a non Lego store I am not quite sure they will change it for me. Thanks for the recomendation of the Snowgroomer. I've looked into it but have not yet found a good deal, also I am considering on not buying it in order to purchase one of the three incoming Technics I'm going to buy(8043,8110 and 8070). I already have the 8051, and it certainly looks great, so many nice details! Cheers everyone!
  8. Thanks for the kind welcome and yes, I LOVE the 4x4 Technic model, I've read a lot about it but have not been able to purchase one due to its price. Though I am considering gettin a copy of the 4X4 even a used one. Cheers!
  9. Wow, thanks so much for your input guys. To be honest...I like the looks of the 8070(more than the supercar MOC), 8043 and 8110...I just might end up buying all of them(on a "sane" period of time) since the 1st half of 2012 does not promess much "set wise". Regarding the shipping without the box...sorry man, that really kills the experience for me since I LOVE looking at the box and then opening it to see what's inside. Thanks for your time and the links, I really apreciatte it. Have a nice day guys!
  10. Hello everyone, my name is Javier and I come to this forum after a 20 year dark age. All started one day at the office while I was waiting for a meeting and out of the blue I remembered when I was about 9yo or so and used to play with Legos and Tentes and then it all went bad. First I bought the 8051 set, amazing bike with loads of nice features and details(though terribly overpriced here in Chile), then the 8265 front loader which I had a blast building it, very entertaining model to work on and my introduction to the clutch mechanism. After this...I linked my paypal account to my Ebay account and well....I bought the 8109, 8052 and 8258. All of them were a lot of fun to build, specially the 8258 which seemed to never end hahah, it's a huge model. I also bought the 8053(not so much love for this model on forums, why?) while I was waiting for those models to arrive, my wife was giving me the "what's gotten into you" look at that moment. Anyway, so far so good. All the models have at least one interesting feature all of them are lookers, specially the 8109. So, I come to you with a question : I want another one but I don't know which one, can you give some recomendations? To be honest I want to build a car, but the "legendary sets" are off budget is the 8070 my only option?I have been looking to both 8043 and 8110, please help a fellow AFOL. Cheers!
  11. This was my third Technic after my 20 year dark age and to be honest it a great looking model. I've experienced some problems with the flatbed, it gets stuck and I have to move it by hand in order to work again...I have not given it much time as I would like to but I'm sure this weekend I'll be able to sort it out without problems. Cheers.
  12. Thanks for the kind reply!
