  1. Yep, the tower was the beginning of it. I just had an idea in my head to build a tower. After I completed it I though to myself - well maybe let's fit it to some kind of diorama.
  2. Thanks guys! It was totally spontaneous build :D. I agree that the windows, more trees would add to it but I had another, biiig project in my mind already :D
  3. Hello, I started posting my pirate MOCs some time ago, but since I also build in the castle theme — here we are! :D It began with a spontaneous build of a tower, just to see how it would look. After that, I realized I hadn't built any Wolfpack castle or diorama yet, so I decided to give it a go. It's a small outpost located somewhere in the middle of a forest. I used both the new torsos — representing senior members in heavy armor — and the old ’90s torsos for juniors. We can see a recruitment scene taking place (with a little Easter egg — can you spot it? :D), while knights nearby are chatting, and juniors are guarding the palisade and watching over the prisoners. One character is fishing, another is playing music. Under a tree, you can spot some war trophies. And finally, there's a small puppy annoying the wolves in a cage. :D It was a quick diorama, took me about 10 hours totally. Let me know what do you think about it :). ps. I'm working on my biggest project so far, HMS Victory in minifigure scale, here's a link to it if you're interested:
  4. Yes indeed, that's the bow. And the progress, well I try to push my projects forward :D The overall idea is to have three sections: bow, middle and stern. Each of the sections have removable decks, so we have hold, orlop deck, three gun decks (two as of now). I hope that explains it, I'm not sure what do you mean by slices :) About the hights of the masts... Looking at the scale the foremast should have around 1,3m from the quarterdeck to the top. It's going to be complicated to do it but these are problems for the future :D
  5. Hello, Some time's sailed since my last post and I'm happy to show you progress on my project! Not all bricks are perfectly pressed to each other but it's clearly a building phase so I don't care about that at this stage. New bricks order is on the horizon so I might be able to push the project forward. Let me know what you think of it!
  6. Nay, black is just the frame. I’m aiming for fully tiled decks — hold in reddish brown, upper decks in tan or maybe dark tan, as ye wisely suggested. I do fear the cost a bit, but who cares. I’ll go with the flow and see where the winds take me! .
  7. Hey! So I introduced myself a couple of days ago showing to you my past projects. I mentioned that I planned something big for the future. So here it is, first photos of a project that was on my mind for some time already - HMS Victory in minifig scale. First, a few details: I've assumed a 1:40 scale. Due to the nature of LEGO bricks and certain technical limitations, I’ll be adjusting the scale where needed — allowing for deviations of around 10% or so. At this scale, the hull will be about 1.7 meters long. Because of the size and my desire to showcase the interior, I’ve decided to split the ship into three sections: bow, midsection and stern. I'm not sure if I’ll end up building the entire ship, but my plan for the coming months is to focus on the bow section. I’m OPEN to criticism, so please feel free to share your thoughts and comments! One of the challenges: limited possibilities to represent the curved shape of the bow:
  8. Hello! I just found that topic, as I'm working on a similiar one myself. Your work is really impressive. Did you make some progres since 2023?
  9. Thanks! I don't remember exactly but I would say like 4 seasons of Black Sails + around half of Game of Thrones :P. I like to play some series that I watched already and just listen to the dialogues and watch the highligts :D.
  10. Thanks guys! Your comments are much appreciated. I'll create more posts then. Ohh my why did I wait so long to start posting here. I'm amazed that an oldschool forum like this exists. It's like memories from 15+ years ago :D The thing is... I don't have enough space to store multiple dioramas/ships on the same time. So after a project is finished it stays for some time ( usually until I have another idea and the vein to build) and after that time I take it apart and build something new :D Well, that was my inspiration :). Yes, they did. Some time later, I built Redbeard's ship. It stayed with us for over a year, but I had to take it apart about two weeks ago, as I'm starting a new project (on a much bigger scale... 😉). I'll post some pictures later.
  11. Just these two additional ones. On that one I didn't do the interior. I think I already had another idea in my mind back then and decided to chase it instead of doing interior. Also, I find interior less entertaining than the structures, buildings, ships etc.
  12. Thanks guys :) Yeah I tried to make it crowdy. Regarding the infirmary that's a fair point but I figured it might be a couple of hours after the battle. The tables were placed on the round bricks, as far as I remember. I remember struggling with the canteen. It was hard to make it look squeezed and crowdy and still being able to build it ,,legally'' :D. Regarding the stern - I agree. It might've been better. The thing is that it was my 3rd or 4th ship. Each time I just go with the flow and learn on the road. Next one was a bit different ( I'll make a post as well :D). Ohh yeah and the rigging of the ship. Well, it was hours. I would say at least 30... I also found a photo on my drive showing the scale. The ship is shown with the body of the Imperial Flagship from 1992. ps. Next MOC - Redbear's recapture is posted :D
  13. Hey! So I guess you liked my imperial ship from 2022/2023. In 2023 I decided to make diorama depicting recapture of Redbeard ( as he was a prisoner on the imperial ship I built before). So we have a fort and some of the city shown. Ship is being built, blacksmith's doing his work, some guy is on the floor drunk... But what's the real thing is the attack of Redbear's crew right in the moment when their boss being led into the gallow. I tried to make it dynamic, there are some guards being shot, someone already dead, some guys running and some poor private falling of the fort walls.
  14. Thanks! I managed to upload the photos. I'm open to positive AND negative feedback. I'll be posting some more topics with other builds I did in the last years. Also, I'm working on a much bigger ship now, stay tuned! :D
  15. Hey! My first post here. I decided to share some of the builds I made since 2020. Here's an imperial ship ( the most detailed one I built so far). I built it around 2022/2023. I tried to make some details such as storage, surgeon, carpenters, sleeping place for the crew, midshipmen/junior officers cabins, captain's cabin etc.
