I loved all the space sets as a kid but Ice Planet was THE BEST! (Something about trans-neon orange OOOoooooo) Anyways I always wished Lego made more sets from the theme. My childhood backstory for them was; Ice Planet wasn’t mild mannered scientists and explorers but actually are the evilest, sneakiest, baddest space pirates in the whole galaxy. They secretly teamed up with Blacktron and masterminded the theft of treasure/bases/ships from the other space factions right under the noses of Captain Magenta and the Space Police. I’m slowly converting some of my old favorite sets to Ice Planet and am building mocs to capture some of the scenarios I played through all those years ago. I wanted to wait until I had some landscape but my bricks and pieces order is taking forever to get here and I got too excited. More pics to come.

Suddenly all the distress calls and missing equipment made sense! Captain Magenta had been betrayed...
