  1. I don't know how to delete this post I was making a month ago from my replies box so I'm posting it to clear it out so ignore this post 😭 I was low-key hoping Birdo would be the mini-boss in the Peach starter kit and that instead of a goal flag, we would get the Mask Gate as a different type of goal. I know Nintendo shoes away from having anything to do with Wart, but a Wart boss battle with the vegetables coming out of the large tubes would be such a great set, as well as a Phanto mask and key. If they were going to do anything substantial with SMB2 it will be the next wave since when Luigi was released we got the poison pond sets which featured heavily in Super Luigi Wii U and then we got Luigi's Mansion. So SMB2 and 3D World make sense for the waves surrounding Peach. I assume next summer will be a playable Rosalina and then some Mario Galaxy How awesome would it be to get something like the overworld of Super Mario World? For whoever mentioned that we haven't heard anything about series 5 character packs, I looked it up and series 3 wasn't announced last year until June even though the main sets were announced earlier.

  3. I feel like they are a bit disjointed with their branding in terms of releasing cohesive collections at the same time. With the exception of the soda jungle sets and Luigi's Mansion, they seem to try and cover multiple bases all at once and seems a little all over the place. We got two very small desert sets a couple years ago and NOTHING else for that biome since. We got the one sky world set (and tbh I still have issues with the scale of that Lakitu), and then nothing until the upcoming sets. They could have done so much more with the beach/water theme, but instead it all seems a little disjointed.
  4. I'm hoping the 71410 is series five of the character packs and not another 5.99 one-off like the fuzzy/mushroom, or power shroom sets. We still need baby Yoshis, a Yoshi egg, Subcon, smaller Spike, Phantom, and so many others! I am excited about the frozen tower just because it will be a great expansion for the rest of Peach's castle. Still need Birdo to make an appearance at some point.
  5. Bony Beetle and Crowber were only available one-per-case versus all of the others being packed two-per-case. Series One and Series Two were evenly distributed with cases of 20, but Three and Four come with cases of 18. I have read that Mecha Koopa and Stingy are packed one-per-case in the current series, but I bought a full case that had six Mecha Koopas and no Freezies or Stingbys so I'm not sure if that was a production error.
  6. Hello everyone! First time poster, been lurking for a few months. Wanted to share my theory about 71410. Articles I've read have assumed 71410 is series five of the polybag characters, but there a couple things that make me think this might be slightly different... - The piece count is 47 pieces. Usually the character bags are between 22-29 pieces. - The retail price is 5.99. Usually the character bags retail at 4.99. - There is a rumor about a six-character set that when the price-points and piece counts came out appeared to be debunked, but what if the source information was simply misunderstood? What if 71410 are blind boss characters with six different characters available? Currently Bowser Jr. is available in the Mario starter set, and Larry Koopa in the expansion set from last year. That leaves exactly SIX Koopalings that still aren't available. If you count the number of pieces used to make the Larry figure, it's exactly 48... Just one more than the 47 listed for the 71410 set. That leads me to think there is a possibility that 71410 is the remaining six Koopalings. Just wild speculation, but I thought I would share! Eta: More of a stretch, but the Clown Car being released in January and Mecha-Koopa in series four characters could also be a clue. Each of the Koopalings have their own Clown Car and in some of the games throw Mecha Koopas from the car.
