Direct from Lego is still pretty expensive. I bought yellow ones from ebay really cheap. I am not bothered about 100% accuracy. It's not like I will be selling it.

Can anyone advise me whether the technic 1x12 and 1x16 bricks are visible once the set is complete. I'm thinking of buying them in yellow as they are a lot cheaper.

Other than 50990pb03 what other parts are rare (expensive)? I'm looking at purchasing the parts to build this set and would like to get the rare bits purchased before the common bit. Many thanks

This is my first post so I hope I am in the correct section. I sold this set a few years ago and greatly regret it now. Mainly due to how much it goes for these days. So my question. Would it be cheaper and easy to find all the part to build this set rather than paying ebays inflated prices?
