Close to zero. That would be too generous to the customer. -

I went with Ministry of Magic and the Horntail. Then spotted that the Shrieking Shack is 20% off at Amazon so bit the bullet there too. That's it for this latest wave, I have all the sets apart from the 2 Hogwarts expansions which I will only buy with a big discount, I think. Looking forward to seeing photos of the Hogwart's Express set soon -

Hi there - sorry for a (potentially) stupid question - but I was wondering if anyone knew where the polybag is going to be stocked? I have never seen previous polybags in my local shops or the online stores I use (John Lewis, Lego website, Zavvi, Argos, etc) Thanks in advance for any help. -

An easier solution is probably a small Dots add on pack to the Globe. Maybe a GWP for the UCS Dobby's Sock? -

There are rumours of a massive Castle set to celebrate the Lego 90th anniversary - releasing in around August 2022. It seems unlikely that they will also release a new massive Hogwarts at a similar price point (rumours that the castle is ~EUR 370) at around the same time. -

I am not sure it matters what reasons drove the decision to focus on earlier films- it is what it is. I am sure if there is enough public demand articulated to Lego, they will consider creating more DH sets. We've seen that with other themes, Lego have listened to fans' wishes / wishlists -

I really like this idea. Could be some great colours and characters. Definitely would be a fun scene to re-create. Not sure anyone has mentioned it before on this forum either (apologies if I am mis-remembering) Rumours on Brickfanatics of 2 potential HP GWPs/Brickheadz/promos. Perhaps they will be released just in time for 4 weeks after the release of the Spring sets, following in the footsteps of the Vintage Taxi arriving after the Boutique Hotel's launch?! -

I think it's great, this would not look out of place in comparison to an official release. -

It's just retired so if you want it, I would check out your friendly auction site before the price jumps too high! -

Perhaps Troll in the Dungeon? I think a few pages back someone or some people said that they thought characters not yet released would be saved for future playset releases to draw in the completionists and also noted that with the new 12 figure format, we would only have around 7 realistic slots what with the usual trio, Dumbledore, Luna, etc. Having said that, in last year's forum one poster had a great list of potential releases across around 7 series of minifigs! -

This is an excellent point. And I am fine with it, in this instance. -

If this is the case, all is forgiven around the 2021 line! -

I can sympathise with that. They are certainly more "kiddy" (although I get the irony of describing a toy in this way) -

She's got that one! Do you mean you don't like any sets released since 2018?! There are some really good ones.. The Burrow, Diagon Alley, Hagrid's Hut, 4 Privet Drive, The Great Hall, the Clock Tower, the Astronomy Tower. Great lego sets. -

The 2021 line brought to an end my idealistic completionist approach - before then I had bought (through 2020-21, so some were already retired) all of the 2018-20 sets as I thought most of them were great and could tolerate the odd poorer set in the interests of having the full collection (e.g. the Horntail set, the quidditch set (not really my thing), etc. But last year was disappointing - I have got the 5 new modular sets but only due to being tempted by online reductions (then talked myself into the GWP buying the chess set and a repeat of the Flying lessons set). I have ZERO interest in the macro-figures and have not yet given into the Hogwarts Icons set. I would really like a repeat (in terms of the quality and type of sets - particularly Diagon Alley!) of the 2020 wave to be honest. That's what properly got me out of the dark ages (with previous couple of years of buying and building Lego City sets with my son). -

$470 for a diorama of the viaduct, the Hogwart's Express and the flying Anglia? I don't plan to buy the Icons set.. but if it goes to a non-Lego retailer and it's discounted, I can't guarantee that the reduced price and lure of completing the golden figures won't tip me over the edge.... I have heard from friends that it's an inspired build. I am not juts not overly interested in it, whereas I love Diagon Alley (just wish it came with 8 more minifigs) -

I know there has been a lot of discussion around this possibility, but I really can't see it. There has been no suggestion from Lego that the microscale Hogwarts is meant to be anything less than 100% of the school and I feel that on its own it's a great representation taking in most of the key recognisable elements of the school. I just can't see it. Maybe a remake of the whole thing, but as far as I know the current model is not retiring. I read the Brick Fanatics article too - seemed to be to be a 'hashed-together in 5 minutes Clickbait article' - I can't see it being 2 (too much empty space) ,3 (not sure it has much display value or play value and would be incredibly repetitive particularly in the lack of colour varietals) or 4 (no way for this one, never been seen on screen in the movies). Lego surely know the fans want Gringotts - I am sure I wasn't alone in writing in on the website (as was suggested by Lego themselves) asking for it! -

If the D2C is a Diagon Alley set with Gringotts or a Ministry of Magic, take my money now. I am surprised we have not yet had a Dobby in the style of Yoda/The Child, surely that's on the roster for next year at ~£80-90 - he has a cult following and I think he would sell well. I suspect the lower priced sets are either modular Hogwarts expansions based on POA/GOF (perhaps the Goblet of Fire champions selection scene) or sets from the new FB film. Won't be particularly excited if it turns out we get a new Knight bus, Hogwart's express, whomping willow, hagrid's hut, quidditch, etc. Less recycling and more original sets like Hogsmeade, please Lego! It's fun to guess and dream though. (see 2019, 2020 threads...)
