The Sketch reminds me of a Galactic Heroes X-Wing…is this Moose/Goose guy trustworthy? Can’t remember his name being mentioned in the past.

I also do like the UCS Death Star but it doesn‘t say GOAT to me, like a 1 grand item should, in my opinion. My jaw didn’t hit the floor, you could say. For example: I‘m definitely not a mini figure guy, but for this set only the best available parts should have been used. The omission of the dual molded leg for Threepio is a sucker punch, especially it is now the 2nd time this happened, after the Khetanna. Yet…a part of me still wants to own it, maybe as an end mark for collecting Lego. But the price feels 100-200€ off the mark. Anyway…the backside: Maybe a depiction /diorama of the reactor room with an x-wing and the MF? Just the Death Star‘s hull depicted wouldn’t work that much for me. Also, the licence/license topic always interests me. Dare I say: Don’t give me the Epstein files, release the agreement between Lego and Disney. The only thing maybe halfway comparable I found is the article from 2018, regarding the Hasbro agreement. How about this nightmare of a scenario: There was a rematch (offscreen) between Boba and Cad where Cad put Boba into his Bacta Tank (or grave), so Cobb swears revenge and takes Boba‘s armour to confront Cad…. I hope I‘m wrong, but I‘ve seen Filoni doing worse, so that I‘m now kinda worried of what he does next…

Are we a 100% sure that a potential Cad vs Cobb would be released under a BOBF banner? Are there any rumors of Timothy Olyphant returning for the movie? The words „flashback“ or „rematch“ come to mind, since to be honest: The „end“ of Cad always felt more like a „lets store him in our closet and see if we can use him later“ kinda thing to me, rather than a final one. After all, it’s Filoni we are talking about…

The CTT wasn’t that obscure in 2005 due to it being based on Concept Art for the AT-AT. So the design was kinda familiar (or well-known) to the Fans even before the movie got released. The UT-AT on the other hand…got barely any form of recognition, it lived more or less only on some ILM Databanks. the form of propulsion also changed from it being a hovering vehicle before it was „revealed“ as being some form of skiing/sledding vehicle, iirc. That being said…Star Wars to a part lives and thrives from obscure Background characters or vehicles (the Rebel Attack Sled on Hoth being my favorite Shitto Vehicle), so a UT-AT would have been perfectly fine with me. Hell, with this figure selection I would have even preferred it over the CTT and on a whole it would sell equally compared to a CTT imho. (For the record: I wouldn’t have bought it, but I also won‘t buy the CTT).

The AT-ST I plan to pick up. Not on Day 1, but down the line it will be mine. Pricing etc. is comparable (but not excactly) to the UCS A-Wing, so bottom line: I‘m fine with it. A second pilot would have sweetened the deal though. The rest of the Wave: Nice figures but I don’t need these sets. Especially not with these price tags. Hopefully the majority will vote with their wallets and not in a „I‘ll buy only 9 sets instead of 10, that will show‘em“ kinda way.

Yeah, that was also my thought. Maybe one of the Imperial landing vehicles which he blew out of the sky? I would prefer a smaller set like the speeder of Cobb though. My major gripe for this years‘ selection is that it feels like the anniversary of ROTS is being used like a trojan horse to flood the market with Clones. Where is Anakin? Where is ROTS Obi Wan? Where is Padme (is she alright?) No Arrest Scene? Battle of the Heroes? In my eyes, Hasbro handled the Anniversary much better. Sure, they are releasing Clones as well, but they are not missing out on the Main Characters (apart from Padme and maybe Yoda, I‘m afraid), with their crown jewel being the SDCC Vader/Obi Wan set.

AT-ST sounds promising to me. Pity that there is only one pilot. Kinda ironic: In 2023, the 40th anniversary of ROTJ, there was no „real“ UCS Set to celebrate the movie. Sure, Red 5 is in the movie, but it’s more or less a cameo. Since 2023 it is now the third ROTJ UCS set (nearly) in a row. So next year a B-Wing then? Or a new Shuttle Tydirium? 😅 The rest doesn‘t interest me. 2 years ago I would have bought a 327th Battle Pack with a smile on my face, but these days…gone they are. Consumed by Darth Clonefatigue.

Sticker Sheet next? 😅 I especially like the Clone Pilot Helmet. Hopefully this figure gets available via a Microfighter or even better: A magazine, since I don’t need a V-19.

I agree with most of your comment, just a small correction: The critics kinda adore(d) Episodes 7 & 8, judging by this list: https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/guide/all-star-wars-movies-ranked/ Personally I can quite live with this list, maybe switching Episodes 5 and 4 + 8 with 6. For the AC: I just hope that Lego finally retires the ugly sweater trope. It feels lazy and boring to me in the meantime.

Dammit, there goes my hope for a more suitable minifigure line up 😁 Thank you for the new parts part. Didn’t think about this! (…or Lego won’t use new parts and just print the horns on the torso or reuse „kinda-looking“ parts for the head #maniacallaugh😈)

Regarding Mas and Sly: Maybe (hopefully) the GWP isn’t a TIE Fighter, but the Chancellor’s Podium with these 3 figures to recreate the proclamation of the Empire. Otherwise the inclusion of Mas and Sly in the Death Star Figure line up wouldn’t sit right with me. Sate Pestage and some of his buddies would fit better, for example.

Well…I do like Plo Koon. But that’s about it for me and this wave. I didn‘t like this color coding of Clones and their vehicles before, I don’t like it now.
