Hello, there friends! Today I will review a set, with which I am almost the same age.
This is a set from the 2003 Racers series, it is almost 20 years old, but I can find it in very good condition, almost new.
So the Racers series appeared in 1999, and it was quite strange because then all Lego series were rather strangely classified, there was a system in which there were the cars, but already since 2002-2003 series were divided, there were Racers, World city, Orient expedition, well, many others were divided, each series had its own design of boxes, and the most important thing that is not in the new sets is comics in the instructions, small pictures of 1-2 pages with drawn plots of different sets, this was the case in most series, unfortunately in new sets, it is not present, and it was interesting enough it was possible to look at them long enough, they were drawn qualitatively enough as if even by hand.
In my set since it is 2003, there is all this, and comics, and even a small poster with various Lego series, which presents and, and the Sports NBA series is quite a game series by the way, as well as advertising computer game racers and advertising Lego site.
Looking at this poster, I had a wild feeling of nostalgia, as if only recently these sets were new, and they are already 20 years old.
Honestly, the details on the feeling are a bit different, what I noticed is another LEGO font on some details, it is much smaller than modern ones, the outflow of details is a little different, by the way, there is the same warm brown color that so much likes AFOL, personally I did not see anything interesting in it, to be honest, it looks like a dark bluish-gray that has burned out from the sun, nothing special.
The figures are generally quite good, one print on the torso and head is quite standard for this series, it is quite original, but when I hold it in my hands it is very similar to Chinese counterparts, it feels like it weighs 1-2 grams less, well, generally newer the figures have a more matte plastic texture.

Impressions of this set I had quite interesting, I did not see here the quality for which I had heard for so long, so the feeling of nostalgia returned, I remembered what at that time were good sets
