I read somewhere, but I can't remember where, that part of the high price point was the "Target Exclusivity Tax". I don't know if that's accurate, but if it is... we're stuck waiting for Target. Good thing Black Friday sales are just the perfect time, perfect amount of time to have sales on it!! -

Did anyone notice Wolverines hands... is it just me or does it look like the claws are actually molded on and not just a piece being held like the previous ones or like the Outriders have?? -

Idk... maybe I'm just kind of an odd person, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Spider-Man Art set!! I had a really busy week and just now saw it. 1st thought was, "Oh I gotta go see what everyone's saying on euro!" I really like the "non-traditional" 3D style and the way they positioned him crawling out, the kind of classic comic background coloring that makes the focal point pop, THEN all the little spiders everywhere!? Aghhhh! And oddly enough, Spider-Man is one of my least favorite characters! Not that I dislike him or anything, just not at the top of my list, persay. But... Yeah, I ADORE this one! I'm genuinely surprised it's not more well received. But that's cool... all of us liking something different is what fuels variety! 😉👍 -

Good morning all... not that I am heartbroken as these are pretty horrible builds, but does anyone know why the sets listed for June release are MIA?? (Wolverine and Capt. Am. Buildable Figures and Capt. Am. & Black Widow Bike Chase) -

Is there really that large of a market for her? Idk as I am more knowledgeable about the MCU than the comics. And maybe this is only because of that, but imo that is the LAST figure I would have any interest in. -

So I keep looking at the shield and I don't know exactly what I was expecting, but idk... I'm conflicted. I really, REALLY wanna see the back before I make any decisions... BUT as I keep looking, a thought occurred to me... can anyone confirm if this is in fact real? I say this because I had thought that there WAS supposed to be a figure included. More importantly tho, did y'all notice the name plate? It says "Captain America" NOT "Captain America's Sheild". Considering the naming on the other display sets this seems odd to me. ALSO did anyone see "Lucas Films" printed on the top right? Again... just seems a bit odd to me?! 🤔🤷♀️ -

So have you guys seen the posts about the DC Flash Tracking Batmobile set being cancelled? Or at the least postponed and not to release this year? Evidently because of Ezra Miller would be the obvious assumption. If that is correct, however, do you think Kang will be nixed in the CMFs? -

I totally agree with everything you've said! We'll, except for the comics and DC over Marvel thing, in regards to the book and the fig in general. It's just another of the same old, same old! See above... 😂... in all seriousness, I just feel like this could have been put in a set somewhere at some time. There is VERY LITTLE visual difference with this suit, unless you're really examining it. It's not like if I display it with all the others it would stand out like the Silver Centurion or even the Scuba Iron Man suit, not that the scuba suit is one of my favorites or anything, but just its color makes it pop out. And I feel like the books have generally had good variants and such and being that this is the first ever Marvel book it would have been nice to get something truly unique. I honestly figured, as much as I would have like to see Stan Lee or something like that, it's not a surprise it's Iron Man, and I'm much more of an MCU fan than comics, but regardless, there are MANY more options that would have hooked people. -

How INCREDIBLY disappointing!! Not by ANY MEANS a surprise, but definitely a let down none the less... it's sad to say, but in all honesty, I was SOOOO VERY EXCITED for our 1st Marvel book like this, but being that the exclusive fig is ANOTHER Iron Man, assuming the $50 price point is correct, I may just skip it! Is that being childish?? Yall are free to say so if it is! 😂 -

Really?! Wow! I just love it! Most of all I think I like the fact that it's just unique from anything else I can remember. At least recently. To each his own, tho, right!? That's what so great about LEGO! I COMPLETELY agree with revisiting some of the previous iconic places/things! I've heard in a lot of places that the D2C is the tower. I'm wondering tho is those are just still rumors, or has any serious, well-known, reliable leakers, like Promobricks for example, confirmed that that is in fact what it is? I feel like it's too good to be true after the last couple years! 😂 🤷♀️ Promobricks is saying August for the Marvels set... did they say anything about the build or figs or anything just yet? -

According to "The Unibricks" via YouTube, he's saying 76232: The Marvels set is a July? release at 420 pcs & $89.99 USD, which we all already knew, but with the minifigures being Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Yan D'Alana, and that it's not known yet which suit Ms. Marvel will be done in; film or D+ versions. He has it printed on the screen "Release date: July 1 ?" But actually says, kinda in a skeptical/surprised tone, "This is supposed to be a July release..." So... yeah... there's that... Also, the new magazines, that we are unfortunately "un-privy to" here in the states, will include the most recent Dr. Strange that was in the polybag and Sanctum and such. Then the next one will feature Mighty Thor, which was of course included in both TLAT sets. I know it doesn't mean much for those of us this side of the pond, but I thought it may be useful information for others One other thing... I REALLY want a set that is comparable in style with the leaked Little Mermaid $170 set. Obviously not a shell! Marvel adapted, but I hope y'all know what I mean! That set looks AMAZING! I've said before, I'm a total Marvel completionist and besides CMFs, space, and modulars, that's my primary focus. But I may just have to get that one! Even if I just build it then pass it on, it's just too cool looking! We need a Marvel set like that!! -

I actually bought the bust back in January. I paid full price for it directly at the store. I really like it. I didn't buy it because I'm a huge BP fan or anything like that... I'm just a HUGE Marvel fan, particularly the MCU, in general. I got it because 1st, I'm a Marvel LEGO completionist. I feel compelled to buy EVERY SINGLE set, regardless of how much I particularly like each one. Like, for example, I really hated myself for buying ANOTHER Hulkbuster in January! Even though that was probably the best one so far 😁🤷♀️. And 2nd, we lost my Mom, who was my best friend & LEGO Buddy, on Christmas Eve this past year, "22. So, it was a really impulsive, emotional buy that was like "Retail Therapy" for me at the time... BUT, I totally agree that there were some drawbacks, some poor design spots with major structural weaknesses, and yeah... it cost too damn much! Like I said, I do like it, I like the scale and sizing of it, and honestly this piece totally befuddled me when it came out! I couldn't understand the reasoning for doing this type/sized bust when it seemed as though the previous scale sets were popular & successful. However, after watching the documentary BP: In Search of Wakanda on Disney+, I understand SO MUCH better now why it was created as it was. It's NOTHING about LEGO or anything, but it venerated the iconography of the "BP Stance". So, that made me like it a lot more, too! But, yes, it FOR SURE has flaws! I saw that the Hulkbuster, 76210, is on Walmart, Target, and Amazon for $450... I'm trying to decide whether or not I should just go for it, as completionist or not, I haven't been able to justify it at $550!! -

I do agree there! I'm very, VERY impatient, tho! 😂 So, having something every 30ish days pacifies me! 😂 😁 It is fun to see the reactions and details and all tho. I suppose I'm pretty set up for the next few months at least... April: GOTG3 sets, May: Ant-Man set, June: 1st summer wave, July: Hocus Pocus Ideas set, August: BIG release month, Sept: CMF, Book, Advent, Nothing in October that I know of, November: D2C set (fingers crossed for a tower!). Has there been any news about when the Marvels set will release? I thought that was a June release, too originally. But with the delay, I have to assume the set will be pushed back, too, right? -

Agreed! I know it seems like for some sets we wait forever for the official reveals, then others are listed on the site as "Coming soon" or "Pre-Order" that seem like forever til they come out! Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the Star Lord Bust has been officially revealed since Christmas! I know it hasn't, obviously, it just seems like it! 😂 Hopefully there will be some leaks like you mentioned! Yeah, I'm sure that was just wishful thinking on my part! 😂 And, yes, it is a very uninteresting wave with the exception of the venomized Groot. I'm looking forward to seeing that one! Does anyone else think it's crazy that we have so many releasing August 1st? I mean, I know for me at least, if they were spread out a bit better, like a couple a month, as opposed to 1 or 2 or none then jumping to MANY, I could, in the long run, spend more cuz I could break it up better. It's much easier to come up with a $100 or $200 monthly than it is to come up with $1000 for them all at once. (I didn't do the actual math, I'm just using those # as an example). 🤷♀️🤔 -

Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
CowInADenBuilds replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
First, I take no offense... and I totally agree about the overuse of vehicles. The reason I mentioned these, was again, just quick thoughts, but I based these on the fact that, having been an AFOL for some years now, and a Marvel "completionist" at that, I am all too aware of the fact that there are certain things that LEGO tends to gravitate towards... i.e. vehicles, hulkbusters, buildable figures nowadays, and I think I may just cry if I see ANOTHER Captain America motorcycle! 😂 Hence why these are some of the things I thought would even be ballpark realistic for LEGO. As, much as Id love to see other things, it's unreasonable to expect LEGO to stray too far out of that comfort zone they've created for themselves. Personally I would love to see the "cool builds" as you mentioned, but realistically, anything representing the Disney+ projects is, IMO, better than nothing. I mean, if they're going to put out overused vehicles, which you can just about bet all your possessions that they WILL, again personally, I would rather have an ice cream truck that had a Vision or Agatha or Darcy or whoever, as opposed to ANOTHER Cap cycle! But it doesn't have to be anything I said previously, it's just the idea to me that in a movie there is what, 2 hours of screen time to pull ideas from? The largest majority of these productions have 6ish hours of content to pull from. I don't think EVERYTHING needs a set, but I do think there's ample content to pull ideas from. And I get what you're saying about the movie and blockbuster things. BUT... as a devils advocate here, isn't it fair to say that Loki and WandaVision fared MUCH better with the fans than Eternals did? I get that it may be a poor business idea to create a or multiple sets for something that hasn't come out yet or is releasing close to the same time (such as we usually get with the movies) for something as risky as a Disney+ show. But at this point we can definitively say that OVERALL, not that everyone shares this opinion, but overall, Eternals bombed and for example, Loki for fans and Ms. Marvel for critics rocked. And as you said, Eternals has sets that stores can't seem to GIVE away. So this said, maybe movies that they just don't know how they're going to go over, new characters, whatever, should be minimized, not eliminated, and expand into other projects that have proven fans enjoy. Look, I don't expect to see shelves full of DISNEY+ show sets. It would just be nice to have SOMETHING! And in all fairness, well into the MCU Multiverse Saga LEGO has done well with sets that harkened back to the Infinity Saga. They know those were beloved and the iconic things from that era are doing well. If the standard from movies that what you have been producing isn't doing well, why not look to at least try something different? It couldn't possibly be any worse than the Eternals sets, right? And at that, at least if it was a total failure, it would only be 1 or 2 as opposed to 4 that crashed and burned. For the CMFs, all speculation aside, I think we're going to need many more series to even begin to truly scratch the surface of ideal inclusions! -

I could NOT agree with you more!! 👏👍 This is the HUGE problem with the CMFs. A CMF Series should be able to span thru any MCU project and the comics. But we are backed into a corner and have to use all 12 of the slots for Disney+ projects. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they did focus there as otherwise, we'd have nothing. Can anyone explain why the Disney+ shows have been completely overlooked?!?! There is such a massive amount of material to inspire sets! So many different ideas... WV: the final battle between the witches, the ice cream truck Darcy drove with Vision, a round room with both Visions; F&WS: the Jeep with Falcon, Bucky, "Battlestar", and John Walker Cap, the fight on top of the semis, brick built Falcon Captain America; LOKI: Miss Minutes, the chamber with the "Timekeepers"... I mean... GEEEESSSHHH! This is just off the top of my head, not even thinking about it! If we would get some sets we wouldn't be relinquished to make every CMF Disney+ projects and argue back and forth about who should or shouldn't be included, all the while KNOWING no matter what we say, we are going to be disappointed! Oh sure, there'll be a couple, maybe even a few we really like, but overall... ehh. Think about it like this... just by simple numbers alone we can't even get 1 "hero" and 1 "villain" for each show! And everyone has their own opinions about who should be there and who they would just give up their left arm to have... some disappointment is just inevitable, unfortunately! Best solution... START MAKING DISNEY+ PROJECT SETS!!! Alternative solution: 18 per series and/or 2 waves per year (January and Summer) What's REALLY going to happen: 12 characters with questionable inclusions and inevitable frustration! 😆🤷♀️ I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait! 😂 I'm serious! The wait to just find out is killin' me!! 😂 -

Well at least I'm not alone in my thoughts/concerns... The new ones being Tobey and Andrew, Electro, Ned, and... I'm thinking they will reuse Dr. Strange, MJ, Tom's Spiderman. That leaves Green goblin and Sandman, right? Would that mean new Sandman, reuse Green Goblin? Maybe like the one in the most recent mech, maybe? -

Thank you! That's kinda what I was thinking but I wanted to make sure before I just assumed! On the subject of the CMFs... I'm really hoping that they will cover the Disney+ series again. I think they way over did What If? in the last series, but regardless, the shows are WAY WAY unrepresented in terms of LEGO. I really feel like that was such a missed opportunity on their part! There are TONS of different sets and figs that could have been done for those. But anyways... what does everyone hope or expect to see? Is there anyone else surprised that the NWH set is only $100?? I'm actually kinda worried about the quality and detail and all. Considering the LARGE number of figures, many that would be new, it just seems like a VERY low price point for what it's rumored to be when you consider a $30 buildable Ant-Man with no minifigs, the $35 Rocket set that only has one, and the abominable $90 they asked us to spend on the most recent armory. Do you think that means that the main build will suffer? Or do you think that they figure since we are FINALLY getting all 3 of the Spideys together that we won't really care?? -

Thank you SOOO much for this! It is IMMENSELY helpful!! Is this actually a real thing that can be done? I've seen a couple people mention something along those lines, but I wasn't sure if it could really be done... does anyone know of they will still be in big boxes of 36? I've always just bought one of those anytime I wanted to be sure I completed a CMF Series. With the new packaging tho, I hadn't heard of those boxes would still be available. One other thing... are they making 12 again? I always hoped they would go back to 16 or 18, like they did for the newest Disney CMF Series. I know... wishful thinking! But there are BY FAR more than enough characters to make double that! This may be a REALLY dumb question, so I apologize in advance... but what is a "system-scale" set?? -

What about sets for the previous Disney+ releases that did at least very well, if not phenomenal... like WandaVision, for example? My son and I have worked on a few MOCs but there are a LOT of possibilities for sets and minifigures there. And considering they already know that most Marvel fans loved the show, I would think from a business standpoint it would be a HUGE missed opportunity! I can guarantee you, no matter set size or cost, a WandaVision set would have me first in line on release day. I could say most of the same for Loki as well! -

Does anyone know if there is anywhere that is doing pre sales on the CMFs? I really would prefer to NOT sit at the door of my local store from 6 am to opening!! Lol... Also, has there ever been a purchase limit on these? This is the first CMF I'm getting into! Thanks for any help!! (In PA in the US btw) I actually LOVE the New Asgard/Bro Thor set!!
