  1. Make the Imperial Navy Sand Blue (Again)!
  2. While a cool reference, does LEGO have the license for the books too or just the films?
  3. Definitely not my first choice but I am looking forward to hearing more about this! Consider my interest piqued. Also been in a LOTR mood lately, been watching the films, reading the books and just finished the Balrog book nook. The Balrog build is nice, but I like the structure more purely from a build standpoint. I also just really enjoyed it, but that is largely due to I mostly stick to Star Wars spaceships and this was building something so different.
  4. The Death Star seems better and much worse than I thought all at the same time. I like the instracacies of the model more with the details, stickters (wish they were prints). The video (granted it's for marketing) feels like the team really tried in earnest but it just hasn't landed with the audience. Maybe I'll think about it for a discount. The GWP is awful. Keeping on the trend of saving my money for the UCS sets I really like.
  5. Not much to add, but the sets (and prices) leave me very unimpressed. Death Star trending in a direction I don't find interesting, but I am keeping an open mind until it reveals!
  6. I quite like the book nook, just not for the price and agree with sentiment here - could have been better served as a set in a different style and feels rather forced as a book nook. I would like to get it on a discount.
  7. I really like the book nook. Way better than I thought I would. Surprised no official announcement still.
  8. Wow. New images of the UCS Jango Slave 1. Sold. Well done. Not perfect, but I've seen what I need to. Really excited for this one. I love the May UCS sets and when it really hits, that is a great year (skipped last year, didn't love the Interceptor). Never had Jango before. Own 75060, but never got to build it. This build and details look excellent.
  9. I'm turning a corner on the U-Wing. I like it, the figures especially. I'll wait for reviews. It doesn't seem as good as the old one, but I love Andor and maybe I'll get it.
  10. Yeah I know! Again, just my personal thoughts on the matter. I don't have any of the original LOTR sets, so Helms Deep is an easy miss and seeing it again as an ICONS set would be a dream for me. Again, I'm ultimately happy with LOTR back as a theme (sparse as it is at the moment). I did skip the Shire for now, but I'm hoping maybe as a gift later in the year.
  11. Love the new Slave 1! Day one buy for me. I have 75060 (bought it used, never built it myself) so looking forward to building this one.
  12. Yeah definitely! I just think that Rivendell, you can capture the essence of the set without it needing to be all of it, whereas Minas Tirith, to me, it seems you need to capture it fully to be recognizable as the setting rather than just a medieval city setting in white. I'd love to have LEGO do it and see what they can do. Personally, I would rather have Helms Deep, but more LOTR is good LOTR to me.
  13. Yeah I agree. I like Minas Tirith, but I can't see it translating as a set all that well. I think Helms Deep just makes the most sense to me at any rate.
  14. Got both Rivendell and Barad Dur upon release (the latter was my most recent LEGO purchase), but the price, set design, and GWP just don't do it for me for the Shire. Glad everyone who wanted it was able to get it! I really am hoping for a Helms Deep. That is the top one for me.
