I love this castle so much. I think this is a very interesting castle with intriguing architecture
I can't help but notice some similarities with the belgian "gravensteen" as pictured here:
What's also interesting, is that in europe the 6081 set was known as the "haunted castle / ghost castle" while in the US it was commonly known as king's mountain forest
I always preferred it's purpose as a ghost castle though, as seen in this advert, surrounded by lighting and dark clouds:
I never owned it as a kid, I owned 6086 black knights castle in stead, but I recently managed to find one complete with instructions. It's the stuff of dreams
