Echoing Soccarkid6, the front of the ship is really great. I often found those blue "helicopter" panels to be pretty tough to incorporate into creations but you have really managed to fit them in well. I also like how this ship seems to be the right size for the amount of figs in it, its hard to describe what I mean but if this ship actually existed I imagine the proportions would be spot on.

Hello Euobricks, I thought I should preface this little moc with the disclaimer that this is my first real attempt at any lego building since I was a child. From lurking here for many years now I think the correct phrase would be "I am leaving the dark ages". With that in mind this model is built from parts of 2 M-tron ships I recently bought from Ebay, the 6923 Particle Ionizer and the 6956 Stellar Recon Voyager. I am not very happy with the picture quality, but it was the best I could manage with my terrible phone, but nevertheless on with the show. The M-tron Obervataion Skimmer Which is itself composed of two separate entities, the skimmer: and the observation platform: Originally I wanted to build some sort of colony ship. I imagine the M-tron company to be the kind of people to colonise new worlds. It became apparent that my vision was greater than my bricks and I couldn't build what was in my head! This ship then is a kind of transport for a "viewing platform". Rich citizens of the universe charter this platform to skim them over strange new worlds. From the safety of the platform they can observe new terrain and then the nobles can decide where to spend their spacebucks. The M-Tron employees who are making sure everything proceeds in a safe manner are suited up with their trademark helmets, the nobles however are too vain to observe proper protocol (I shudder to think what would happen if the world they are skimming over has no atmosphere!). One thing you can't really notice is that the pilot of the skimmer cant actually sit down in the cockpit due to an unfortunate design flaw with the craft (Someone should fire the designer, he was probably half alseep when he build it and was too lazy to redesign the ship). She actually had to be amputated to fit in (M-Tron employees are nothing but dedicated). There are lots of iconic Lego figs I love, one of my favorites from when I was younger was the green hooked aquashark guy. Everything about this man seemed badass. Where did he get the hook ? What is it made of ? Lego minifigs always amaze me with how much personality a simple accessory or print can convey. Another favourite was the black knight, the breastplate and helmet are just perfect. I remember getting him as a present for doing well at school. I still have him to this day. And finally if I had to pick a 3rd choice it would be the wolfpack guy. I loved this cowl its a great piece and perfect for bandits or serfs. It gives the figure way more character than if they had just used hair. I couldn't just pick one!

Hello Eurobricks, I have been a long time browser and lurker of these forums and I have decided to register in an attempt to trade some of the collectable minifigs I have been ravenously aquiring. A little bit about me. I am 23 years old and I am a PhD student at Cambridge in the UK. I study biochemistry (mitochondrial proteins for anyone interested!). During my childhood I was obsessed with Lego and I guess you could say I never stopped. Since the collectable guys came out I bought 1...then 2 ... and eventually rekindled my dormant love. Hopefully I can ship all my old lego (Currently in the basment of my dads shop) to Cambridge.. then the fun can really begin! Thanks Thomas
