Ah thank you! I must've used that 8 tooth somewhere else then as I do not have a spare Well time to disassemble!

So I recently purchased the Land rover Defender Lego Technic set (42110) and have encountered one problem so far. I am on Step 271 and it is where you assemble the bulk of the power train together. This uses bags 1 & 2. This step is seemingly improbable as the gear you have to place sits too high up meaning you can't get the connecting rod through.
