Well that's what I get for talking in absolutes.. then again this is a lego forum.. Many of the other large ships (Galactic Enforcer included) tend to follow the same general shape, size, and design. The MX-81 was a departure from that, which I personally like. Now calling one of the top selling lego spaceships a "thing"... that's an unusual opinion.. :p I say Alien Conquest was a decent effort, but I think they could have made it better. I like the lighthearted nature personally, but I don't think it drives a good set. Kids don't want Jack and Jane to happily explore remote corners of the universe. (well maybe my sister would) They want an Epic clash of multiple Alien species with large, highly armed fleets of spacecraft, robots, and tanks. Every popular space story out there involves significant conflict (Star Wars anybody?). Why shouldn't lego space?

After Building Mark I, it was time to build a second, smaller unit. Firepower wise, it still packs a lot of punch. It also includes a full compliment of support drones which detach from the back. Also, this one opens up completely (something Mark I couldn't do) for a full view inside the cockpit. Enjoy!

lol, thanks! I am definitely a Mechwarrior fan. Not sure which mech this MOC looks like exactly.. maybe a cross between a few of them.

I think Mars Mission set the bar high, and that Alien Conquest isn't at the same level. It feels very circa 1980s to me. Especially the "good guy" helicopter and truck.

Hey guys, Check out an MOC build me and my son built. It is built out of random parts from his lego box. It comes complete with a several control panels, 2 mini robots, a ton of weaponry, and a nuke reactor inside. Let me know what you think!

BSB all the way.. One cannonball to the BBB's hull and that ship is sunk. Plus will all the extra crew members, the BSB would overwhelm the other crew with sheer manpower. I think a better match-up would be the BSB against one of its more well endowed cousins, such as the QAR or SCS. Both have more cannons, but the BSB looks like it could take alot more cannonballs too! Oh, and of course, the Imperial Flagship would own all :)

My favorite Pirate Ship! I remember getting this for XMas many years ago.. still one of my best gifts to date :) The best set to compliment the BSB is Eldorado's Fortress! Maybe you can review it next?

The Pearl looks very simplistic, but its growing on me. I'd be curious to see how combining two of the pearl sets would turn out.
