Imagine a huge train with both kings cross and hogsmeade station. Then you get both the old versions and the young versions of the characters. Something similar to the ucs millenium falcon that had both young and old characters like solo

I would prefer the same but If I have to choose between random DA Shops or reboots I will always go with the reboots. I mean they could do Leaky Cauldron, Borgin and Burges, madam malkins. In an ideal world the 500 set would be gringotts alongside leaky cauldron and other da shops and that would be it. They would also do second task, durmstrang ship, shrieking shack, MoM and Grimmault place and be done with the whole HP franchise besides DH.

Actually I think a lot of people would buy something like this since the buildings have this medieval/wizarding/castle vibe. Even for people who dont collect HP I guess they can integrate them in some castle medieval displays. Random wizards are always fun I remember when I was a kid I always preferred these kind of sets with wizards or cowboys or knights than lets say a city set with ordinary people. And for the HP fans obviously it would give them something to look forward to and also integrate in their sets. The whole enjoyment is having different sets that fit together and create one amazing picture otherwise we would all just get the micrsocale hogwarts and be done with it. That would be amazing since the current style of Hogwarts i do not enjoy. That would be a bullsey for Lego. I guess we agree that we are all gotta catch them all kinda people :D As far as minifigure scale sets go of course. Way better than some stupid reboots or getting a new hogwarts express

I feel you, still I always have that urge to get everything :D The only sets I probably wont get are the Icons and the buildable harry and hermione they just dont fit into my minifigure scale idea of hogwarts. Thats the reason I didnt get the microscale Hogwarts as amazing as it is Still not happy about the evergreen stand because you see what is happening to Star Wars. There are way better themes to have as evergreen like castle, pirates, cowboys.

My wallet hopes that they do something like buildable creatures that I wont be compelled to buy :DDD Also it hopes that the theme ends soon but I would still like some DH sets I would always go for new sets instead of remakes especially when some of the sets were so good they dont need a remake

Do you think the 500 $ set could be Gringotts along with buildings like Leaky Cauldron and some more shops that would give us the other part of Diagon Alley. If they do it close with the scale of the original DA that gives us around 90 $ per building. So maybe if they did Gringotts for around 200 and we get 300 worth of other buildings I guess that can work. Its a lot of money but at least we will have a finished Diagon Alley and thats way better than just having a huge Gringotts I guess?

i really loved the 18-20 line and my idea was to complete all of them. The ones I am missing are the big castle, diagon alley, burrow and some smaller sets but all in all I was on the way. Now with the new style there is no way I will complete everything. I got the CoS last summer and as much as I am trying to make it work with the other sets its just not it. Got the bathroom and will try to get Hogmseade, flying lesson and Fluffy. Have no interest in the big figures and while I might be tempted to get Hedwig or Hawkes it is way down my list. I doubt I will be getting the Icons set also for that price. So I will try to get all the sets that at least theoretically can incorporate with the previous line and maybe Hawkes or Hedwig if I get a good price. I really hope they end the line in the future and we stop getting stupid rereleases like what they are doing with Star Wars there is no point in collecting if I know that they will release the same thing in some time

Does anyone know where should the hospital wing fit in the hogwarts setup. Wow I just dont like the new designs prefer the older ones

I dont think a S3 makes sense if they are continuing with the theme(much to my discomfort) I believe we should get a Gringotts next year and maybe they will redo PoA or GoF sets in the new style I dont know. Hopefully if they are continuing with this uglier style at least they remain consistent and everything connects at the end and looks like a proper Hogwarts. I got the Chamber of Secrets and while its not a bad set on its own its driving me crazy that is so out of place when you connect it to the other ones. I still tried. :D As for the other sets I guess we will get a Shrieking shack, gringotts, second task, ministry of magic and maybe grimmauld before the DH sets.

Well i guess the point of collecting something is to collect it right. And I was perfectly happy with LEGOs plan to do two movies per wave so we would have finished by now. In my opinion the first great hall is the ultimate set and I woudnt change a thing. This just ruins the whole value(not in financial terms) of the sets if you know that even if you missed some they would probably get remade in some years. Harry Potter is pretty much for the people who grew up with it and I dont know why LEGO focuses so much on younger kids who are still to learn and get into that universe. Let them play with marvel or some other stuff. HP is for our generation :D

I just hope they dont overdo the theme with many remakes. Ideally they would have one more wave fil the gaps and thats it. Who needs a great hall every couple of years. I hate these themes that go on forever you can never complete them

I would definitely say that the 18-20 sets are the best that we ve gotten and I even think they wont be able to do any better. If I had to choose one set its the Great Hall I mean I dont know what else can you do to improve it. If you dont collect HP sets but want only one set its the first one on the list. I got the new CoS and its cool but just cant be compared with the older ones

hello guys sorry if someone already discussed this but could you suggest a way to combine the new sets with the previous wave in order to look good like a whole castle. If so it would be great if you can share pics. I dont mind the differences in the colours of the roofs just to get some general ideas

Not that anyone asked but here is my opinion The sets look way better than the first pictures and thats amazing I am still a bit annoyed that they used the green roofs but ok I guess I can still integrate them in the collection I have I thinks it would not be so hard to mix it up with the current sets even if the roofs are different coulours. In the worst case you can just get the CoS and put it under great hall Now for the sets Chamber of Secrets looks great either as a standalone set or as part of some castle The only issue I think is they could have done salazars head the entrance wayy better I love the details they have and I think they could have used the same colour of the old basilisk The bathroom is just a small set so its ok The fluffy set is great I saw they have the trap door so I think it can work great with the other sets Still dont know if there is the winged keys part Hogsmeade we all agree is amazing The fawkes set is good I would get it if I get Hedwig The chess set. I see everyone hates that there are no studs. I thinks thats awesome because it looks way better and more like a chess board. Maybe less functional but for display is very good The quiditch one is fine I am so happy they made one of the more expensive sets as buildable figures so I dont have to buy it Lets hope they do something similar for the D2C so I can save 250 bucks haha

i get what youre saying but not having to buy the d2c and the fawkes is a huge relief. I just hope that they will do the DH sets and then be done with the theme so I can have a full set and dont have to spend money on pointless rereleases

small details but i remember in the fluffy set they had the pipe instead of the harp, and some of the minifigs were most like I imagined them in the books than from the movies.

lego has been doing this for a while now. I agree with you. I mean they are interesting to collect but back in the day lego was way more affordable and the original HP sets were way more interesting even if they were for those standards back then. Im feeling like lego became more of a business now than back then. peeves was fun. Maybe they should have tried to include him in a set. Dont know why they chose the films to focus on instead of the books when books were obviously better

yosemite sam, elmer and pepe must have been there. Who knows petunia pig and even lola is not so important

I would say none but since lego is sticking with these three I guess the DH versions
