Store wait story time (pictures will follow soon) I checked my phone when I got up at 3am this morning to see DA was released at 9:00pm PST last night. Checked the US website, noticed it was the same as the AU site, "three per person". So it seems TLG finally decided to stock more online due to the demand. I contemplated ordering it but didnt. I arrived at the mall at 830am to discover that the door was already open (was told by mall security it was opening at 10:00am). Ended up camping in front of the Lego store, playing Bleach Brave Souls and read a couple chapters of Attack on Titan. About a hour later people started coming to line up. We ended up talking about Legos of course until the store opened about 15 minutes ago. The employee comes to the door and says that they won't have any sets until Thursday, to which of course everyone starts getting visibly upset. She ends up saying that she was only messing with us. Appaeantly, the Vegas lego store was able to get 30 of them for today's release. Sadly there was around 35-40 lined up (from what I could see since I was first in line). Man did it feel awesome being the first person in Vegas (aside from any ambassadors here) to get the set. Also, to those who got the set in store, did you get the brickheads and another GWP?? They gave us two gifts. Have fun building everyone

From what I've experienced, Lego uses FedEx in the US, and as long as you get your order in by a certain time, the warehouse will process it to scan and send. Usually, for the ones I order next day/express for, they were at the depot at 4-5 AM, and I was able to have the depot hold the set for me so I could get it myself. Lucky. Do you think all the stores received the same amount in?? So if New York has 14, will Vegas also have 14? I plan on doing the same but camping at the mall at 8am and running to sit in line when the doors open at 10 (the Lego store here doesn't open until 11am. I'm probably going to bring my switch as well, but play Dark Souls on it.

Even though I'm in the US, I have been checking difference countries S@H stores, and if anyone is currently wondering, Australia has not sold out yet, with a limit of two per. So that's really good news for those of us who are going to the actual store tomorrow.

See you're lucky, you get to wait in the parking lot in your nice cool car, while in the meantime, I'll be camped in my malls parking lot tomorrow at 8:00 am (whats hilarious is that my friend is getting one too, and she went to the Lego store and asked how many sets they will have and they told her to be there early, and that the earliest person will be waiting at 8:00...which is me). Then after the mall opens I get to run as fast as I can. To the Lego store to wait another hour. Well, like I said before, hopefully, it doesn't sell out and Lego finally made enough extra sets to compensate in case this is a huge release (I think the SW UCS will be bigger honestly). If this is true, than it's great for the people who can't get it in store, meaning they won't have to wait however long to buy it I figured that that set was going to backorder pretty quickly. Lego announced it everywhere I think a month before release with no VIP. The DA set is different, the only ones who were aware of it prior to the announcement we us and the leakers. Thankfully, my local news didnt cover it like they covered Hogwarts. Dude what? My parents are the same way. Even though I no longer live with them, my mother offered the come along to the store with me tomorrow, she said she also would stand in front of one of the mall doors while I stand in front of another. That's really worrying. Almost makes me kind of glad I'm going into the store to buy one tomorrow (even though I'm still worried I won't be able to get one in store or online if they both sell out. Welcome to the club. I honestly hope is the rest of the hogwarts castle set. It's still incomplete. So back when hogwarts released, it didn't come online until 3 am PST for some reason. Very good news. I'm praying that if I not the first handful of people online tomorrow morning, and I cannot get the set (I'm hoping my store has somewhere around 10-12-14 sets), then I can simply go online and get it with next day air.

Yep I'm in The same boat friend, and my anxiety issues aren't really helping me any. I want to do the same but I'm also hesitant because I don't have a spare $400 lying around in my bank account. I'm worried about the online store selling out like the falcon did and if I'm not able to pickup in store, then I'm screwed for a couple months while LEGO restocks. This is my main issue, I don't want to wait for next day air. Sometimes I wish I had a friend that worked for the Lego store here in Vegas. So I just got off the phone. Same dude that I spoke with last night and the day before. He told me that the demand is high (I don't know how high because they said the same thing about Hogwarts too), and that he couldn't give me a ballpark figure of how many they would have (which is weird, but I understand...they don't want to get swamped with poed Karen's). So I asked, "well let say I'm 5th or 6th in line, since it's one per person, would I be able to get one", and dude said yes. But he did say to get there early tomorrow, and when I told him I was planning on being at the mall at 8am (which is stupid, I know, but I have issues, and I'll feel better knowing I'm there) since the mall doors open at 10, that that was too early. He did tell me that there is a second floor door that opens earlier than 10am, so I'm thinking about asking a friend to come with me so I can stand by one door, and she can camp the other door, and whomever makes it to the Lego store first will call the other person (yeah I know, this sounds complicated, but on top of my anxiety issues, I also have mild OCD and have been triaging this plan through my head since I discovered this set). To whomever else has a plan like mine, good luck, and don't forget to redeem your VIP points.

So back when hogwarts released, the store here in Las Vegas held a preorder for VIPs (thank God they didn't do that for diagon alley) that sold out within 30 minutes of them starting said preorder. The website on the other hand worked smoothly. Purchased it day one from S@H, and didn't have any problems. I ended up checking the site after I ordered the set for the next week and a week into regular sales and it never went backorder. So I figured it's not as popular as the Millenium falcon was, but keep in mind, because of Covid, people are using the website more than going to the actual stores to buy these sets. Jesus Christ. How much was the $799 Millenium falcon in Aus? So yeah, you don't have to have all four connected, you can even attack then to any modulars you have too, which is what I may do. I assume HP-4 refers to the fourth movie in the series but I may be wrong Yeah alot of people thought they were being shafted because the designers were cutting a floor from each building, but looking at it now, it makes sense. I think the set will be made available online at 12:00 AM PST. I'm only guess because they did the reveal at 3:00 AM PST. To be honest, one of the reasons I enjoy building the bigger sets is because they're really not meant to be a playset, but rather a conversation piece. Due to my anxiety, the only thing I'm worried about now is how many people will be standing in line at the Lego store to pickup their set tomorrow morning. How do some of these YouTubers get the sets before release?? Is it because they're partnered with LEGO??? Is it because they have alot of subscribers?

If you're planning on buying the set online tomorrow morning, then I would redeem them now. However, if you're going to the Lego store like I am, I would just wait until you're in line to redeem them

If I remember correctly, I think the same thing was about S@H when they did the VIP as well as official release for Hogwarts Castle. We all thought the stupid site was going to have a meltdown like it did when the Millenium falcon released, but shockingly, to my surprise, the site was really smooth for the castle release, I was able to buy one as soon as it went on sale and never experienced problems. But that still doesn't mean I'm not anxious/worried when Tuesday come and I instead opt to buy it at the LEGO store only for them to be sold out as well as the website. Yeah no problem, my anxiety issues were mainly made permanent due to detoxing from a 3 year heroin addiction. I would never wish opiate withdrawals on my worst enemy, especially if you're desperate and take a Suboxone to close to the last time you did any opiates, it puts you into precipitated withdrawals (image opiate withdrawals, but 100 times worse, and theres nothing you can do but wait it out). Thankfully, I've been clean since 2014, and being able to build LEGOS while detoxing saved me, even though I made a ton of building mistakes I never would have, and I was following the directions too. So, I was able to go offline during work today, but unfortunately couldn't stop thinking about how awesome, and stressful Tuesday will be if I can't get in line first/buy one from the store or S@H. That and I need to stop pestering the Lego store here. Since Tuesday, I've called the store at least 4 times to see if I could get one of the employees to confirm how many sets they'll have up for sale come release, but they kept dodging the question, which I understand. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed they'll have 6-7 on Tuesday, as well as hoping that if there's some people in front of me, they won't know about the release. But that's enough of that talk. That LOTR set looks awesome btw, I remember watching Brick builders speed build of the set so many times, but I was too late to buy one myself. To be honest, I don't mind sticker sheets, I actually enjoy being able to put the stickers on the pieces.

Man I feel you there. But I'm trusting in what Roebuck and the other members have said, that there's no VIP (we would have probably been made aware of it, usually the sets made available to VIPs a month prior to release...at least for the Hogwarts Castle, Ninjago City, and Millenium Falcon). I have anxiety issues, and it just kicked in really bad this morning when I relised that TLG will announce it at 3am PST worldwide (or maybe sooner for you Brits, is that true?) So I'm hoping that the stores all get at least a good handful of sets, just in case I'm 2nd or 3rd in line come Tuesday. What would honestly be messed up is if Lego announced it tomorrow and delayed the set by two weeks to punish the leakers, but I've never seen them pull that move before. Here's hoping for the best man, and if it doesn't work out for me, than hopefully I can nab a set from S@H if I can't get one from the store. Alright so there's one of my questions confirmed. 3am PST reveal, I get up for work at 230am, but will gladly call in if they decide to surprise us and release the set tomorrow morning. Definitely won't have to wait until Tuesday to get it then lol. That's the only way to build the gigantic sets based on franchises. Watched the entire star wars prequel/original trilogy while building the Millenium falcon, and watched all the Potter movies while building Hogwarts. Profit and LEGO makes more money. $799-$800 is reasonable for a set that's over 7500 pieces, but $699 for a set that is only in the 3900s?? Come on now. Also, I think I may have asked this before, but never got an answer. Do we know a ballpark figure of how many sets LEGO stores will have available on release?? I saw another user post 4-5 sets, but is it different for every store?
-
Oh yeah man, I'm doing the same thing. I have really bad anxiety and LEGO has always helped me cope with it, but I do have a tendency to get worried from time to time, especially if it's a set that I'm getting on day one, hence why I've been asking questions, and possibly repeating myself a couple times, it's like s mental disorder or something. Yeah I'm planning on going to the fashion show mall in Vegas at around 8-830 am, just so I can wait by the closet door to the Lego store because according to mall security, those door auto unlock at 10:00am, 1 hr before Lego opens. So as soon as that happens, I'm running straight to the Lego store so I can hopefully be first or second in line (I hope there's not two lines that day, even though it would streamline the process, one line for people who want to look, and one for the people who know 100% what they want to buy). I guess I'm anxious/worried about this because you know, I know it will be on s@h on Tuesday morning around 12:00am, and for some reason or another if I happen to be unlucky with running to the store, I want to make sure that the website will still have some available at 11:15am or later on in the day just in case I can't get one at the store. Do we have like a ballpark figure or confirmation on how many sets the Lego stores generally get when a new set releases?? A handful of pages back, I know someone said that they called their local store, and the rep said they would have 4-5 sets available, so does that mean that all the stores will have that many, or only that store??
-
Really?? Seems weird that I would figure Disney Lego to confirm the release date before another store. I called the one I'm going to Tuesday morning. I said the release date, got a "uhhh, Lego doesn't want us to confirm or deny the date", then asked how many they would have there on Tuesday morning, and the guy gave me the "I dont know how many were going to have in stock". I just hope that if something happens, and I can't get one from the store, that LEGO won't pull another Millenium falcon and be backordered/out of stock for the coming months. Do you think this set has the chance to be as popular as that one?? I remember when hogwarts castle released, it was a good couple weeks before the website said backorder. Guess in just really anxious/worried I won't be able to get one. The suspense is killing meaand I just want tuesday to be her already.

Yeah I already made that mistake once when I took my time to the store when the falcon released. Didn't get it til 6 months later. As stupid as it sounds, I'm going to scope out the doors to the mall on Monday after work. Then once they open at 10am, I'm going to run as fast as I possibly can to the Lego store, even if I have to run over an old lady to get there, at least the door is on the same floor. Theres a closer one I looked at at Saks fifth avenue, but I don't think they open til 11, and they control their doors, the mall doesn't. I don't know, maybe I'll just chill and get it online so I don't have to worry. What would be crazy is if they did the reveal, said, "it will be announced in the next coming weeks," then at the very end, it gave the release date of 8/31/2020 instead of 9/1/2020 (hopefully this will not happen). It is for sure releasing this coming Tuesday (9/1/2020) correct? Has this been verified, or are we going with the leaker who said it was coming 9/1/2020??

Hey man, just do what I'm doing. I'll give you an example. The mall here in Vegas that has the LEGO store inside opens it's doors at 900am, and Lego is open at 1100am. I'm planning on being at the mall by 730-800am, this gives me a hour to get to the nearest door to the LEGO store for when the mall opens. Once I get there, I'm going to sit down, read a book, or play some breath of the wild/super metroid while waiting. I figure if I get there early enough, the. I should be the first/second one in line. Unfortunately, like you, the LEGO store here is very busy, so that's what I'm planning on doing come 9/1/2020.
-
So yeah I was wondering this too. When hogwarts castle came out, the Lego store here in Vegas started taking preorders a week before release. But with the reveal coming next Monday, and it being rumored to drop the next day, I would assume that there is no preorder. Honestly, I am going to drive my happy megablocks to the store at 830am, the mall opens at 900am and LEGO doesn't open until 11am, so hopefully, if I do this right, I will be first on line for the set and won't have to worry if it will be gone when I get there. I'm mean I figure if there's no preorder, and I don't want to order from s@h, and I'm totally fine waiting almost 3-4 hours for the set, I don't see any other way. Also, friendly reminder everyone, no matter how you're planning on purchasing this set, login to your S@H VIP account and put some/all of your points to the coupons that takf money off the set itself.

Waited three the other day at the store in Las Vegas, and that was only to pickup. What took so long is the people who only go there to look at sets. They should have separate lines of they're going to do curbside, especially for the upcoming DA launch (which if there's no preorder, you can bet I'm going to be there at 9am, first in line waiting for the store to open at 11am to get the set so I don't have to wait 3 hours again). How hard is it to have a line specifically for people who want to look at the sets, and another for those who want to buy something?? Maybe LEGO is making a subtle joke of the whole "social distancing" thing.
