Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

To the previous poster's point, the new system almost looks like It's a few $15-20 sets combined with a $50ish shell that's designed to hold the other sets. -

Zonko's and Hog's Head are on the town layout on the advent calendar flap along with Honeyduke's and The Three Broomsticks. Might be a hint toward the future. -

If it were in the same style as the big Diagon, absolutely. I'd also love it to be attached to the brick wall entrance at one end so I could connect it to WWW and fully recreate the entryway at Universal Studios. -

Anyone notice on Shop at Home, there are alternate Ron/Hermione builds for the two figures showing their Polyjuice wearing off? -

Looks like they may have taken some inspiration from the Universal Parks layout. That's where the entrance/exit is. -

It’s actually across the street, on the other side of the big brick wall entrance -

Same. Hopefully it's at least easily adaptable to the old scale, but with all of the quick remakes, they're starting to lose me on the Potter front. -

I immediately jumped to either Stan or (more likely) Maria Hill being the included figure. -

Yup. it's set to be very southern gothic as opposed to World's northeastern gothic revival. -

My fingers distinctly remember trying to feel out at a few. I'm pretty sure the mad scientist from series 4 (?) had rubber hair. Edit: I think Dorothy from the Lego Movie 2 line was rubber as well. -

It's currently happening, but that's the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. I was referencing the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World (the theme park resort in Florida), which has been ongoing for two years. The point is, Disney doesn't keep their "anniversary" celebrations to just the year that they occur. -

Listen, Walt Disney World is STILL celebrating it's 50th anniversary through the end of March this year. An anniversary celebration that started in October of 2021. Don't you dare get my hopes up. Haunted Mansion is the best ride in the park, and there certainly enough of a fandom to support a big 'ol collector's set. -

You already get the focus on your version of Haunted Mansion over the Florida one. Let us have our version of the castle. -

Not super jazzed that Jiminy will end up in the same scale as Pinocchio. But I LOVE to see Ernesto and Miguel listed. Hoping to see a nice big chonky Baymax similar to some of the "costume" characters that Lego has been doing in the CMF line. -

My guess on Gringotts': The exterior is compatible with the current Diagon Alley so the entrance matches up to ground level and everything. But...the back doesn't line up with the exterior entrance. That would allow them to still have the lobby on a "higher" level in the functional play area, set above all of the vault goodness below. Additional thought on the Knight Bus. Could the extra price/piece count be coming from a façade of The Leaky Cauldron and/or the brick wall outside of Diagon? -

In a possible preview of what the Disney 100 collection may have in store for us, a new Funko Pop of Walt holding a sketch of Mickey leaked today. I wouldn't be surprised if the featured figure in the CMF line was something similar. -

I get it, but many of last year's builds worked independently of the board game. [BTW...let's be honest. This is akin to the kind of "game" you'd find on the back of a cereal box] The cake went with Hagrid's figures really well. Griphook looked good on the bank teller's stand. The Leaky Cauldron sign was a welcome addition to Diagon. Etc etc. -

This exactly! I thought the strengths of the past AC sets were the smaller builds that could be easily slotted into your other sets. Especially when the Yule Ball themed AC was released around the same time of the set that featured....The Yule Ball! Come on, that's great synergy. Folks that bought the AC would be tempted to get the set, and vice versa. These micro build are just kind of baffling. They're not great display pieces. They're not really easy to play with. I'm just not exactly sure who they're made for. -

That's where the six fig options come in. You'll still likely get stuck with a few that you don't want...but then you can aftermarket them, and try to use those funds to buy others you want. It's not great, but at least it's an option where there's a known quantity of what you'll get. -

Hopefully they will see everyone's concerns and take this as an opportunity to adjust their release style for CMF. I'm still surprised that they haven't come up with a way for collectors to just buy one full set directly though them. If I were in charge, I would kind of stagger the sets into a few different SKUs. 1: A loose case of 36 packs (equal distribution, no short packed figs). This would be mainly for retail and/or resellers 2: One full set of 12 figures, separated into two different presorted sets of 6 ("Mix A" and "Mix B"). Why like this? Wellll.... 3: One presorted set of 6 figures. These would just be the SKU above, but able to be purchased separately. Perfect for those that want a chunk of figures, but don't want to buy a full set. 4: One random minifig. You get what you get. Since they already have the presorted 6pks available online, they would just have to adjust it to separate them into two distinct mixes, and then combine those into one SKU to complete the set. It's really not that much extra work, and would provide a good solution for those of us that want a full set, but not want to buy a full case or take the chance on doubles/triples/quadruples... -

Interesting that they went with the Disneyland version when the mini version of the castle is Disney World's. I guess the southern gothic style is more iconic in their opinion, but they'll look odd next to each other. -

I feel there are going to be a lot of people desperately manipulating the bags trying to see if that CFC is one of the last few they need. -

Has anyone noticed the Frog Card typo in the back of the Chamber of Secrets booklet? They have Olivander twice, once correctly, and once for Rowena Ravenclaw.
