Hello everyone,
My name is Mike (hope my username didn't give it away), almost 30 years old and living in the Netherlands. My love for LEGO started as with many, at a young age. My rooms carpet covered with blocks and my mother always yelling to tidy it up after stepping on it all the time I work as an international service engineer, maintaining, repairing and installing machines.
During 1 job about 2 years ago I was bored at the hotel and LEGO popped into my mind so I decided to look it up. Little did I know how much it had changed over the years and that there were even websites for people creating there own awesome stuff! I was instantly hooked by fascination of what was possible with modern LEGO.
After looking around for a while I decided to get the set 42069 Extreme Adventure. Finding out about Bricklink and knowing some cool mods for the set I got to work. A very simple but satisfying mod changing the tracks to wheels. Next came the Porsche 42056 and now I have the 42110 Land Rover which I'm modding on Stud.io 2 before assembling.
Besides LEGO, I like reading books, working on my motorbike and building scale models. Mostly military planes and heli's, but others like STAR WARS models too (huge PRE-DISNEY star wars fan).
I hope to find a lot of inspiration and help when needed here, from what I've seen the community is very friendly and helpful, to which I look forward!
Cheers
My first project ever using Stud.io 2, Inspired by a Defender 110 MOC already made on Rebrickable.
