Really looking forward to possibly seeing a Z-95! It does seem odd that there are no EPII sets though. Wonder what we'll see in the Old Republic set? Maybe we'll see a Shae Vizla figure or a helmeted Republic trooper.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
robotimms replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Picked up several series 8 figs at TRU this afternoon - Actor, Alien Queen, Conquistador, Deep-Sea Diver, Evil Robot, Man-Bat, Pirate, and Santa. Really love the Diver and the Actor, am very, very disappointed with the Robot. Print design on its body and face is very unimpressive. Was really looking foward to this fig, what a let-down. -
I think that TLG is probably saving any big reveals for Celebration VI next month. We'll probably see the early 2013 sets and new packaging then - (everything is changing over from Maul to Yoda for EpII rerelease).

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
robotimms replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Heck Yes! The old-style deep-sea diver has been on my wish-list since this line started!!! This series, like every other, is must have for me. Like all of them, especially the Alien Queen, Evil Robot, and the Diver. It's cool that TLG made some of these pieces more accessible - alien head, man-bat,etc. Looking forward to these. -
I'm hoping to see more SWTOR vehicles, especially the Bounty Hunter's D5-Mantis. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/D5-Mantis_Patrol_Craft I'd also like to see: An updated Slave 1 - Jango's version. Mandalorian Shuttle - With Sateen. How about a cantina playset with new aliens. I also like the sound of the Hounds Tooth - including Bossk and young Boba.

Wow, is this a joke? No zombie? No robot? No series 1 figures. What a disappointment... -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
robotimms replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow! Series 6 is flipping amazing. I love the Robot of course. I don't think that there is a single fig to gripe about, they're all great! This is also going to be a costly series, between army builders and cool accessories, there will be a multiples buying frenzy. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion

Found two of the tall hanging displays on an endcap at Target today in Texas. Both were pretty much untouched. Nice to see that they're out and about in seemingly good numbers. I wish that series 1 had been as easy to find as 3-5. At first, I was only really interested in the Gladiator and the Lizardman, I have to say though that they are hardly my favorites. I'm loving the Detective, the Royal Guard, and most of all the Cavegirl! I loved series 4 and at first, wasn't very impressed with series 5. I'm really surprised at how much I've liked this set! -
This thread has got me giving this line a bit more thought and I've decided that I really like it. My only real beef with it is the Mothership set, it's awfully big for a whole lotta nothin'. The Supreme Leaders Ship may have been a more apt name for the set. I don't really have any other problems with this line. The colors are fine for me. I love the retro saucer designs. Most of all, the alien designs are great! Finally, there is a worthy adversary to our Lego heroes, not rock monsters, snap together aliens, not something from a different line. I've had fun building the sets, modifying the sets, and my children love them as well. I can see where some wouldn't care for these, the colors are very bright and the vehicles are somewhat corny, but oh well. If this series carries foward, and it should, TLG had better take it to the next level though, because I don't see how they can keep this line successful by adding more retro styled UFO's and Earth based attack vehicles to the line-up. I think they'll need to move the battle into space or at least beyond Earth to keep it interesting.

"Legends" could be a cool idea. A special release of a few classic sets. Maybe have a fan vote system or just rerelease one or two from each series. In order to do that though, TLG would probably have to keep the sets in the small to mid-sized range. Awww man that would be so neat. Seatron looks like it could've been one of the best, if not most interesting series. It would be great to see some variety in lifeforms and the worlds that are explored in the Lego Universe.

I'll add that agree that the Classic sets; Space, Futuron, Blacktron, etc, don't need to be rehashed. Those sets are perfect in their own ways. I think that the key word is "revisit." I may be wrong, but I don't think that anyone wants to see old sets modernized, thats what keeps happening with Star Wars, and that gets old. The old stuff makes for great inspiration, but new sets are a must.

This was something that my son and I were talking about on our way home from our last visit to the Lego Store. We both agreed that there needed to be more good aliens. He suggested that it would be cool if further along in the Conquest line, the humans picked up some alien allies from some conquered world, which I think would be kind of neat.

On a recent trip to the Lego store, the B-A-M section had the Spaceman's helmet. I think that the torso's that appear to be Luke's are actually the ninja's. They had his mask piece there as well. So far I've been able to get the Caveman, Cheerleader, Clown, Forrestman, Ninja, Spaceman, and Tribal Hunter at the B-A-M stand all without their accessories. I think I've also seen the Doctor and the the Skaters parts there also. I keep hoping to get lucky and find pieces to the Crashdummy, Robot, or Zombie.

I don't think Alien Conquest can really meet up to Space theme standards since I don't feel that it is really a Space theme. I think of Alien Conquest as being more of a sci-fi adventure series than a Space series. It's maybe a bridge between City and Space, but not Space. It is after all, mostly Earth-based.

I voted for: Classic Space - Some of the first toys I had as a kid. Would love to see this series revived, not redone. Love the whole exploration aspect of this series. Futuron - Never had any of these sets, but boy do I wish that I had. Love the designs and colors. Insectiods - Aliens. If you have a space series it makes sense to have a series for some alien interaction. Modern improvements in this line would be great. I wanted to vote for Blacktron, I definitely want to see it return, but I think that if they were to revive Classic Space and have it evolve into Futuron, Blacktron would be sure to follow.
