That it was all a little too convenient? Why would she have tracked Holbrook? He certainly wasn't her only suspicion yesterday. There were others looking a lot more suspicious than he was. They might want to give it to themselves if they were concerned that they had received a bomb. You do realise these are accounted for? Bolding added by me. Why bring these up? They weren't on any list until today's and so haven't come into play yet. Vote: Leatrix. I feel she has thrown a lot of things out there that are designed to create confusion, and then just latching on to whatever Benicia says to support her own position. I'm not convinced fully on Marlowe being scum and think it more likely he just made a dumb choice.

Or she just said she did. Parvani was one of the last to claim on the morning of Day 2. She could have been waiting to see how the cards fell before committing. Good point. The question about who he talked to about being vengeful is moot given a block would not prevent the vengeful action from being carried out.
-
Correct. I must admit that my mind also immediately went to vengeful watcher, which I think makes sense if the trickster also gave out vengeful investigator and vengeful tracker. On that, we have an accounted for block. Would that explain why we have not heard about the outcome of Rutherford's vengeful? Would a block work on a vengeful? Do we know who else Rutherford might have talked to about being vengeful? On the thief, I don't think we would have seen evidence of it yesterday, as the the target would have been chosen overnight, and their vote then stolen today (Day 4).

In what way? I thought the bomb going off would result in anyone targeting that person being killed in the explosion. Isn't that the logic he was using for why he said he targeted Hyacinth - to protect any town roles that targeted her? The flaw in his logic was thinking that she would be a target for the scum kill. Assuming anything he said was truthful, of course.

Why did you think it only affected the Virgin? There is nothing in the posts from Omrom to suggest it was only limited to the effect on the Virgin. Vote: Hyacinth Hippo Not reporting this in your first post in the midst of everyone else revealing their actions and results from Night 2, and then trying to suggest it was because you wanted to see a reaction, just doesn't feel right.
-
The Hooker role only impacts the Virgin and does not have a blocking action on anyone else, unlike what the mafiascum wiki says. I have clarified this with Hinckley. The Hooker only has an impact if it targeted the Virgin. The impact if I had targeted the Virgin were as per the wiki - they would lose their ability and the kills the next night would proceed.

FABUpunk! Mafia II–Day Two, This Is Insanity
Shainen Sheepdog replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Sorry. I did mean Parvani and Gilford. And Frankie is the fox - I kept misspelling Franczeska, so I gave her a new name. I think that pretty much undoes my analysis, but I don't have time to think it through before voting closes. Unvote: Rutherford Raccoon Vote: Hyacinth Hippo Because Benicia puts forward a good case and I feel Benicia is town. I don't feel strongly enough about the case for GIlford. And we have to vote. -

It is strange to be at this point in a day and have so few votes cast. Something about Gilford feels off, but I can't pinpoint it. He is acting like he wants to be lynched. Did he at any point actually say or claim to have been the vig? He admitted to killing Mobley, but was happy for everyone to just assume he was the vig, and to forgive him for his actions because it was a compulsory vig action. Having the vig action doesn't make him town. He had the same chance as any of us in being given that role. The thing that counters him being scum is that he was supposedly switched with Caladon, suggesting that scum had targeted Caladon, but ended up killing Gilford instead. If scum were given the vig (Gilford) and the bus driver (Parvani), then the bus driver could have switched Person X and Caladon, then scum killer targeted Person X with the scum kill (knowing it would kill Caladon instead) and then claimed to have swapped Caladon and Gilford to make him look like he was the scum target. If for whatever reason the bus driver was unsuccessful, Person X would have been killed. Either way, scum get a town (or trickster) kill and the opportunity to make one of their own look like a scum target. Both Parvani and Caladon made their claims after quite a few of the others had been made already, suggesting they were seeing how things fell before they claimed. I don't think Frankie necessarily needs to be scum for this to have been pulled off. There's a few ifs there, but I'm not prepared to just accept Gilford as town just yet. But if he is scum, then Parvani is too. Going back to my original point about him acting like he wants to be lynched. I thought that maybe he is just acting somewhat scummy so that he can attract attention tonight and absorb anything that targeted at him? If he is the trickster, then he had the ability to hand himself a role, which would make the trickster role very powerful. I don't see this happening. Doesn't mean it can't, it just not likely in my view. We, we never had a claim of Encryptor, Virgin or Hooker. Or the three day roles that were on the list for Day 1. It seems likely that 15 roles were handed out - the 13 compulsory ones plus the 2 baby dragon ones. So, 16 players with what looks like 15 roles handed out. That suggests to me that the trickster probably isn't able to give out more than one role to each player and they didn't give one to themselves. Notwithstanding my views above, I am going to Vote: Rutherford Raccoon This post from Corrina prompted me to go back and look at the claims again: I can see how a role stopper would get a succesfull result if the person they targeted had a mirror The rolestopper targets a person and prevents other night actions from targeting that person. So, it doesn't impact the mirror per se, but rather the roles trying to target the person who holds the mirror. So, I believe he could have been successful in stopping other roles, such as Marlowe from targetting me with his block. So, Marlowe would have gotten an unsuccessful in his attempt - from either my mirror (more likely) or as a result of the rolestop (if this actually happened). I think Rutherford is lying about using the rolestopper because he claimed that the result he got back was that he rolestopped himself. I don't believe that is how the rolestopper would work - my understanding is that he would have been successful in stopping other roles from targetting me, rather than having it mirrored back on himself. Which I think is the point Corrina was making. The fact that he was one of the last to claim and that it came after Bixby pointed out that this was pretty much the only one left. I think he saw that and decided it would be a good option to claim because he would stand out if he didn't have a role. But he didn't actually have this role, so made something up about the result he supposedly received. I noticed the grey as well, but dismissed it at the time as I didn't think the trickster would give themselves up that easily. Now I'm wondering if that is what he wanted us to think. If he is the trickster, then we potentially have the issue of not having any roles handed to us for Day 3 if we lynch him today. We're not privy to what will happen in this scenario. Either way, we will the results from Night 2 to work with. -

Vote: Extend the day I have been busy moving the Duchess from one end of the boat to the other. She has a lot more shit than I remember and it’s taking forever. This means I haven’t been able to give much attention attention to Day 2 so far. -

I was given the mirror, so the block would have reflected back onto you. -
I read this part of Omrom's post to mean that those two baby dragon roles could potentially be more than just what he stated in the post. Having said that, if Mobley is lying about the one he was given being nothing more, then it will be an easy lynch for us once he is found out. Not sure how that will necessarily happen, but it makes me inclined to think he what not lying about that. I still think he backtracked on what he said about claiming our roles today. We don't always get it right on day one, but a lynch will give us information about alignment and lets us review today's interactions and posts with more information. Vote: Gilbert Goat Between first suggesting revealing roles that I really don't think should be revealed, to saying we should all reveal (conveniently now called as wanting to create a shitstorm) and being happy to point to the mouse, it feels like he is helping scum more than town. @Hinckley, I think you missed one: Why do you think so? Do you mean just for your role?

The falsifier is not compulsive, so I don't necessarily see the need for them to claim that they have it. I suggest that they simply don't use it. Not using it also means that the normaliser's action (if they do use it) will be benign, right? If the falsifier falls in scum's hands, then we can't trust the result anyway. Encryptor is only helpful to scum and the way it is written suggests that it doesn't have any functionality for town. So, are we then to assume that if someone reveals it, that they are town? I won't be making that assumption. I'm inclined to think that secrecy is the best policy for today. I must have been asleep when the sharting happened last game as I don't remember it. But let's definitely not do that this game. Revealing the mirror will be more useful for scum than town. Our vig is compulsive and so will be at risk, but the odds are that they will take out town anyway given the relative numbers. Ruling out one person will not change those odds that much. Also, can we use role names please? Using the numbers makes my brain hurt more. As for voting today, only Mobley and Leatrix have stood out for me so far. Mobley starts the day by pointing out the obvious. And then despite having already said that we need to be clear about the roles, it is not until his second post that he thinks he should consult the book. And there's also the thing about asking whether there are any role that absolutely shouldn't claim. There's only one response to this post from Leatrix: WTF. Then this, which felt a little like back tracking ... On the point of doubling up on roles, we generally don't get to use more than one role at a time and 9 of the roles are compulsive. It would seem meaningless for those who are given a compulsive role to then be given other roles. I think it more likely that that the roles have to be handed out without doubling up, at least for those who are given compulsive roles. There are 9 of those, 10 if you include the hooker. The exception being the day roles. This is very much based on the assumption that we can only use one action per night. Thoughts on whether this would not apply in this set up? I don't know about claiming these ones. Will it impact how we vote today? Should we vote as we would without knowing this??
