FABUPUNK Mafia! Conclusion—Heresy!
Hendrick Horse replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Goodness this was, once again, a full-on-fucking blast. Great game Hink', as usual. I love love loved the trickster role even though the open format admittedly benefited the Town more than the scum. I am 100% bummed that my legitimate ignorance of when the day was intended to start cursed me on Day 2 but honestly, as previously mentioned, having steered the Town so far from the confirmed scum, taking the L would have been necessary at some point. I think clearing me from the board genuinely helped the town more than my clinging to life would have otherwise, especially considering that Priella's death shook my conviction in Wyeth's scumminess. That said... goodness. Great game. I feel like this quote combined with Priella's lynch on day 1 basically nuked the entire scum team. Wait do I have the highest post count of the game? That can't be right. nvm Lyev does, you memey bastard Ahh, now i remember. Size=4 is the Legal-profanity size. shit -
FABUPUNK Mafia! Day Two—That's Clearly a Giraffe
Hendrick Horse replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I think it was the universe's way of telling me not to give up, which I appreciate. I will say though that this whole day has been a busy and stressful one outside of the context of finding scum and while I could have acted on that morale boost, I simply haven't had the time. I will continue trying to parse the facts of this game in my last hours, but have little hope of extracting myself from the chopping block. I am a vanilla Townie. I have not received a single role of which I am aware. I saw Wyeth's comments as originating from a scummy mindset and still do. I don't necessarily think you should pivot towards him when I flip town tomorrow because it was just a day 1 suspicion of mine, but he's certainly not clear in my mind in the slightest. 1 of the 3 investigated "Town" members OR 1 of those 3 who was the investigator is likely scum unless the scum framer hit their mark. Look into those 6. I'm sorry I didn't get here early enough to convince more people to look into them but there's no use lamenting what I COULD have done. I only hope to encourage all of you to learn from my death and hone in on the actual Loyalists. -

I was fairly certain of Fergus yesterday too since he came out as the Framer when he clearly didn't have to. I may have been wrong about a lot, but I still believe in him for that. Do you know if you would have failed to frame a scum? I'm not sure what the role wording actually entailed but I'd at least be curious to know if it was explicit that scum would show up as Townies if framed rather than the ability simply not working. It is also quite likely the scum chose to block you due to you being the only town role known at the time. Ouch. Possible but I'd wager highly unlikely considering the chances. I think it's more likely that a scum got the investigation and cleared one of their own OR just a random person to throw off suspicion OR the insane investigator caught a scum. I don't have the time right now (I've been so busy ahhhh why did I have to forget the day's start time!!!) to go much more through everything but ATM I'm going to Vote: Carlissa Cat. She was teh third person to join me on Wyeth, and if the frame against her failed that could mean a number of things. After my work today is over in a few hourse I'll resume deep diving into the events I've missed. I feel so stupid and guilty for my negligence and will try to improve my game for the rest of the day. Sorry for letting y'all down and leading you astray on both Wyeth, and now by my own obliviousness, leading you to lynch me as well. -

Wow what a bummer. Time keeping is not my strongsuit. I really dropped the ball here. I completely understand the vote against me although I know it to be wrong. I'm going to look over the people who joined me in my tunnelvisioning on Wyeth. Surely some scum joined after Priella's lynch gained in traction. I'd also say, and you've probably all considered it, that there's close to a 1 in 3 chance that one of those investigated is scum with the results we got. I made a rather big scene yesterday by being a motormouth. I figured I'd probably see some attention at night as a result. I figured a framer would see me as I likely investigation target and act accordingly. -

Oh wow holy crap I missed a lot! I'm catching up asap I thought the day would start... well... today! :gasp: Drat. I'm catching up and this is rather nightMAREish. I was very wrong about the Priella lynch. Kudos to those of you who supported it while I was tunnel visioned on Wyeth. Since I'm clearly on the chopping block today I will at least give you all the benefit of knowing I won't be a huge loss as I am a vanilla townie and have no role given to me by the twister today. More to follow as I catch up. -
Omg it is? I need to check my whoroscope!

Yesterday Jupiter was super big did y'all check that out?

So anyways, how about them METs

Awwwwww yes, time for me to talk a lot again

Glad you got a chance to extract yourself from that bad dragon to vote! I suppose it very well could, and we shall see. I was more inclined to lean into your lynch personally because I agree with some of the points made regarding your ambivalence earlier and because I felt it would be a better litmus test, but with Purella lynched we'll still have plenty to analyze. I'm still fairly certain in my hunch regarding Wyeth's scummy thought process though. Again. We'll see. That said just because I think u might be scummy doesn't mean we can't be friendly! I'd happily give you a horseback ride. -

No problem. I've been very talkative today Well I'll tell y'all one thing: this lack of momentum has me more and more reassured that we've got scum on the frying pan, and I'm betting you it's that rascally scum-minded walrus! -

I was waiting to see if anyone would respond to the vote tally mechanism of determining framing target before casting the first vote. No one ever responded to and then Priella voted so I was just like "Trot it" -

OK 1st I explained that thoroughly? In what way does "coordinate both of the anti-town actions we could know about to target the same person" not make sense. Also you'll note that I was never insistent about it being me who gets targetted. I only volunteered after being prompted to by Mr. Lion. Also the investigator thing was 2-fold. A. I don't know how the frames would overlap and B. PUBLICLY COORDINATING INVESTIGATIONS IS BAD. OK what? I literally guessed wrong about how the frame worked. I'm hot to lynch because 1. I'm hot. I'm a mothatrotting stallion, baby! And 2. We gain nothing from a lymchless day 1, and I'd rather us lynch one of the 2 voting candidates I consider most likely to be scum. -

Tbh I don't think that Priella's behavior earlier was scummy. It strikes me as lazy more than anything. I also have more faith that the bandwagon on Kayarra is being put forward by motivated townies. -

A day 1 no-lynch puts the scum on a stronger footing. Let's not let that happen. I'll switch my vote to Kayarra for her ambivalent apathy, if need be but I feel the strongest about Wyeth. -

Less than 12 hours and not an inch closer to a lynch. I recognize that discussing the trickster roll has eaten up much of the day's Chitter chatter but let's not put the cart before the... well... me. Unless you've got investigative powers, and honestly even then considering there's 1 insane cop and 1 unnaccounted for, more-than-likely-scum framer, then the only way for any of us to accurately determine anyone's allegiance is by lynching and analyzing voting and speech patterns. With that said, I think it's rather telling that we haven't achieved a lynch so far, indicating to me that one of the names we've tossed around may well belong to a Loyalist. I'm going to double down and propose we push harder on Wyeth, considering I haven't heard much discussion of my vote for him aside from a vague feeling that he and I are somehow "playing off eachother" I think Wyeth is a prime candidate for today's Lynch. He's been middle of the road with exception to very blatantly demonstrating a scummy mindset while criticizing me for volunteering and has since been completely dismissive of my concerns as being simple OMFGUS. *any sort of a bandwagon. It is too early to achieve a lynch, but usually there's more of a winnowing down of candidates by now I would assume. -

OK? You are hardly the only person to have called out my admittedly faulty reasoning earlier. You ARE however the only person who did so while explaining that you'd never do what I did because of how scummy it'd make you look. Actually... why am I paraphrasing. You literally said this: And this: Both of these are clear signs to me that you're thinking with a scummy mindset. Setup for the day implies that SOME of it COULD change not that it all would or that it would period if the Trickster likes that settup. I agree that Keyarra's post is ambivalent and wishy washy. I'd probe it further but I'm pretty sure I'm onto something with Wyeth. Sounds perfect. Better than me volunteering. -

No one has even touched this. Thoughts anyone? Well anywhoo, the cherry's been popped now, and the pussy's out of the bag, so I might as well... vote: Wyeth Walrus -

Yeah my volunteering wasn't the best way to resolve the issue and I realize that now. Did get the discussion moving though. I believe that Maddock had the right idea. Voting is rather excessive for a situation like this. (sorry for format I'm on my CarrotPhone) I'd love to hear back from some folks as to whether they agree on this method of determining the frame target before I cast my vote, because once any of us votes a vote tally will be made shortly thereafter considering how on top of things our lovely quadripedal pig friend is, and it's better to be in agreement on using the tally post number to determine our target before we get said post as it removes bias. That said I'm ready to vote, and so far the one person who's struck me as the most reasonable candidate is Wyeth Walrus. Literally every point he made while responding to me insinuated that he was making an effort not to appear scummy. That's practically a confession in my book, and I'm not impressed with his actions outside of that one post either. The only other thing of note that he's done today was compile extant information. This isn't a scummy behavior inherently, and this is day one, but it is a decent way of appearing more useful without actually adding to the conversation. The only thing that's dissuading me atm from being 100% sure is the swiftness with which he jumped on me after I volunteered. That was a bold move... but one filled to the brim with scummy tells. -

Having read many an historical tome regarding the natural of serial killers (serial killers are hot, ok? Sorry not sorry.), often they cannot win in their own twisted games without winnowing both factions down until they're the last furry standing. To get closest to their goal they must, without knowing who is who, attempt to balance the field throughout the game. That's the way it always is. I'm not sure why there's any confusion as to what I'm saying frankly. I must have articulated myself poorly I guess. Also huge bummer on the framer front. I'd still encourage the second framer to speak up if they were quiet for any reason, but if they're scum I can't imagine they'd reveal themself, so yeah... sounds to me like we have a scummy framer For the record I am also not the second Framer... if that wasn't excessively obvious. -

Assuming we have no investigation oneshots other nights that could make sense but the point I was trying to make whether my speculation into the makeup of the town is well reasoned or not in that particular instance (4 does sound like a lot even considering one is bound to bewrong), is that we will likely continue to see investigation abilities. I can't imagine we'd get 2.5 on day one and then none again for several days. That sounds completely ridiculous to me. The framer is an inherently anti-town role. Assuming the 2 framers are town they'll want to minimize the negative effects of their compulsory action. By not spreading their moves out they are less likely to confuse the investigators. By having them target someone who's identity is publicly known, they make it so that the investigators need not experience any interference at all. Letting them run rampant only benefits the scum! Also, when did I say the trickster knows anyone's alignment? They're playing a balancing game like an SK would, I assume. Also, yeah I too am getting concerned about the possibility that one of the framer abilities fell into the clutches of the scum, unless Calissa claims -

Again, I volunteered because I wanted to save time and avoid failing to come up with a singular target, which would only benefit the scum. Now that my volunteering has caused such an upset, which I understand, I'm more inclined to have someone else be the designated target. That's... honestly pretty smart. Now I wish I was scum! To be clear though, I was operating under the assumption that the Trickster's ability is strategic and they choose to give out whichever roles benefit them the most by keeping their enemy teams (us and the scum) balanced out. I have no clue what else they have up their sleeve and kinda assumed we'd be seeing more investigatorial roles doled out anyways. I don't actually see there as being a hurdle here to overcome and I'm not sure why you're so convinced there is. What makes you think we won't see a similar setup anytime soon? What makes you think we don't also just have a normal investigator on our side if we DON'T get the oneshots every night? I kinda assumed that those volunteering to be targeted would get investigated on other nights. Volunteering to be framed was in no way intended to clear me from suspicion. I do like your number idea though. We should go forward with that. By that I meant that their intended inaction could be publicly known so that they could be taken to take for it if they were caught lying. Hardly. *adjusts glasses* To put my historian horse hat on, I seem to recall a certain ancient warrior named Scubacarrot or something of the sort from an ancient tome in the anals of history capturing some disguised fiendish foes, much like we have here, by judging their stated thought processes. In this tome he noted that one of his "allies" was in fact nothing of the sort due to his fears of "appearing too scummy" I couldn't help but feel a slight ticking on my scumdar prickling on my beautiful mane hairs when I heard you speak in such a similar manner. -

I'm not volunteering to be Investigated tonight, I'm volunteering to be the target of the framers. I only volunteered because I figured it would save us time. If there's another person you'd propose I'm fine with that as long as we pick ONE PERSON by the end of the day. 1. Yes? I have some free time at the moment and I want to dig into this historic mystery! I'm taking the opportunity I have to be talkative and trying to parse the setup so that we can best organize ourselves to handle the trickster's oddball actions. 2. I like that you're trying not to be scummy. That's a very townie thing to say. Suspicious wording aside I volunteered to save time and because it was my idea for which I'd be content taking responsibility. Also I personally can't think of anyone I'd rather see in the position. It is perhaps rather selfish of me, but I'd rather see someone who's affiliation I don't already know be looked into 3. Again, really glad to see you're thinking so intently about how your actions look. I didn't idly speculate to fill space. I think everyone here will note that I'm filling up way too much space as it is. I speculated because you (or whomever I was talking to.) Indicated you couldn't possibly guess. There's clearly either 3 or 4 if this is as normal a setup as priscilla claims, and I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest the likely number as one of those. You could have run your calculations under either assumption or both. Yeah seriously. No one should be discussing who to investigate publicly. I am simply proposing that it'd be dangerous for us if no one volunteers to be the recipient of both framings. I mean, they could do that? But I think that's way less useful and difficult to coordinate than simply publicly claiming as framers as Foxiepoo has done, and picking a single target to be framed by both. -

Just going off our numbers I'd say it's likely there are 3 scum and one neutral Twickstew, but that's just speculation based on history. Oh hey the midday thing is up! Cute! -

I volunteer to be the target but the only important thing is that the 2 framers target the same person. It doesn't have to be me but we should publicly establish WHO gets targeted before the day ends otherwise.
