  1. I have just seen on Instagram a picture (it seems from a catalog?) of the two new Moments sets, so we can take a look at the purple and black covers!
  2. In case someone from Belgium or The Netherlands is interested, the Hogsmeade set is reduced to 68euro right now in Dreamland and Amazon.nl -so I have finally bought mine! I will pick it up tomorrow; looking forward to my first set of the 2021 series.
  3. I do think that Eeylop's Owl Emporium and Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions are well-known and would be very popular. After all, these two shops were the first Diagon Alley set back in the 2001. I would be delighted to see these two shops again!
  4. Yey, official release! I will definitely buy Hogsmeade, Flying lesson and Myrtle's bathroom (so 130 euro already...); but I will wait for sales in Dreamland (Belgian toy store) or Amazon. I don't like Amazon either, but, well, if you can save 15-40 per set... not gonna complain here, right? That is exactly my thought, too! It is a very clever design, offering quite some possibilities. And now only with the Flying lesson, it seems, but also with the other sets. I really like it. Moreover, it does remind to the old HP sets, whose instructions always included new possibilities to rearrange or rebuild. Flying lesson with no doubt
  5. Well, I am definitely buying the Flying class and Hogsmeade. They fit nicely with the 2018-2020 Hogwarts, so no doubt there, day 1 to me Myrtle's bathroom might look a bit odd as stand-alone, but maybe it can also be integrated with the 2018-20 Hogwarts (we are not really into MOC); and, in any case, it seems not to be very expensive either, so I'll probably get it too. Great Hall + CoS and Fluffly's corridor, on the other hand... I do like them, especially DADA's classroom and how everything can be connected (well, the place for DADA's class once everything is combined seems also a bit odd); but will they look nice with the rest of the Hogwarts display? That is the question!
  6. I think Falconfan said in his Instagram account that more golden figures are coming, because I remember to read that too . Not the number, though. I also think that they will give us a golden Dumbledore and a golden Draco. Draco seems fair to balance the students-teachers ratio. About golden Hagrid, well... he is with no doubt a very iconic character since book 1; but he is also much bigger than the rest, which means more golden material. Maybe he could be the golden minifig of the D2C?
  7. Well, of course, I was talking about the style, not about the size
  8. I recently visited a Lego exposition and there was a bust of Hagrid (note the spiders to add texture to his hair!). It made me wonder if the buildable Harry and Hermione will be something like this too.
  9. Thanks! I really hope this is true, so I have time to finish my PhD and get it as graduation present That would be so great! I would love that idea as well. I have the same problem. I still have none of them. I have asked in the shops (in Belgium: Dreamland, Fun) a couple of times and their answers were that 1. they were all sold, 2. they would receive them soon. So nothing so far. I keep thinking that it is due to the pandemic (they produced less stock), but who knows.
  10. I was thinking the same hahaha. But it does like cool with its wings outstretched, meaning we can use it as podium/statue!
  11. Suddenly I am looking forward to see the Lego HP chess. The pirates one someone shared in here looks gorgeous, so I really wonder how they have adapted the one of HP. I have the feeling we are going to have a nice surprise with it, idk. Or maybe I am simply way too optimistic.
  12. I love Cat-mione! And I am so happy with this awesome plot twist! A 60 euro chess set is something that we *might* buy, so this is super good news. Also, of course, it leaves room for something cooler to be the 250euro set. We have not bough Diagon Alley yet, but would like in the future, so I hope the D2C is Gringotts or at least something Diagon Alley related. That would be amazing!
  13. I think I will also use my golden minifigs as statues. After all, there are several statues around Hogwarts and, until now, we only have one (the Architect) in our display. Looking forward to put them here and there in the current sets!
  14. About the buildable Harry and Hermione: what if, as in the Art sets, there are pieces enough to change e.g. Harry's head and make it Ron's head? It would be mainly the hair and the no scar nor glasses, and maybe the eyes. Such that people can choose what to display. I mean this because leaving Ron out sounds really bad
  15. This really made me laugh! I love the Pixies . I wonder if we will get some of them as independent DADA class, that would be great!
  16. Agree! (And very funny explanations, by the way! ) Flitwick minifig is very cool, but the students choice... could have been better. Considering I don't like Cho's skin tone (I mean, her minifig's skin tone, not the character's one, of course...), I have actually decided that this minifig is not Cho, but Padma Patil. (Why? Well, why not! ). I am still waiting for my other Moments sets to arrive, but from the pictures I must confess that Hufflepuff/Herbology set is also candidate to be my favourite one. I will know for sure when I build them all, but it simply looks so nice with all the plants around; also the stickers seem funnier.
  17. Hi, I am going to change the topic a little bit! I got one of the Hogwarts Moments sets (well, the Ravenclaw one as that is my Hogwarts house) recently as birthday present and while building it I realized how cute it was! I really think the set looks so much better physically, and also that it is based on a clever idea: everything can be fold inside so nicely, such that kids can easily take the set with them to play elsewhere. So basically I realized that now I wanted to get also the other three sets to complete the collection. I was about to get them from the Lego Store, but then I looked in Amazon as they normally have pretty good deals... and indeed! So in case someone from Belgium or the Netherlands or so is interested, I basically bought the three other Moments sets like in 3x2 offer - awesome deal! And I also have a question for everyone here: which one is your favourite Moments set and why? This sets also remind me to the 'old' ones Gryffindor common room (with Ron), Hogwarts classes (with Harry) and Diagon Alley's shops (with Hermione) and it makes me wonder if they will keep producing this format with other little moments from the books/movies. It is true that it seems complicated to display them together with the rest of the 'modular' Hogwarts, but I simply find them super cute.
  18. Also in Belgium, that is how I got mine This looks so beautiful!! Awesome work!
  19. Good to know, thanks! I will pass by my local Kruidvat to see if they have them too.
  20. It seems that Lego has done a campaign to announce DA after all. I follow a Spanish youtuber/writer/bookstagrammer (not related to Lego, but she is a huge fan of HP) and yesterday she suddenly posted a picture with a Lego QR code -so same as the Phelps twins. Is Lego targeting a different audience (i.e. fans of HP, but not necessarily AFOL)? It really surprised me to see that, honestly.
  21. Maybe it will only work on August 31st? After all they are saying "Get ready". It sounds exciting! Are we going to have the official images only the day before to the release?
  22. You can still find it in Dreamland. Last September all Lego products have 25% discount (will that happen again in two weeks? we will see) and I recall that Hogwarts Castle had a quite good price (although I did not buy it myself). And yes, I also saw it at Fun.
  23. In Belgium you can also find D2C in other normal toy stores. Maybe not all D2C, that I don't know, but for sure the Hogwarts castle was everywhere; so it had eventually good discounts too.
  24. That was a good one. I agree, some pavement would have been nice to place the minifigs... But the set is still looking gorgeous to me. (If I forget about its price, of course...)
  25. It is hard to tell because we cannot really see a big portion of the wall, but QQS seems to have a pinky tone as well in the Harry Potter Studio Tour : check here and here.
