Second this if you are in the midwest. There were at least six different layouts at BrickWorld last year. I can think of NILTC, TotLUG, CILTC, Milton Train works, common group layout and my layout. Did I miss anyone?

When the Death Star premiered at BrickWorld a few years ago, the BW organizers were the ones that built the Death Star at the hotel.
-
When I registered and paid, the registered list was not showing any people and stayed that way for a few days. Now there are folks listed as registered but my name does not show.

I have two 8 foot shelves.

My third BrickWorld, first time bring a layout by myself. It was great. Met a lot of people from the Quantas guys who were friendly and entertaining, stood in the after hours store purchase line and met some of the Canadians who were just as fun. Got to buy stash2sixx and company a beer. Accidentally witnessed some minifig scenes that will haunt me forever... And the auction was highly entertaining. Mark Larsons presentation on topography was fantastic.

Rob from LifeLites has already done that. http://www.flickr.com/photos/brickmodder/4057010305/

Three unit well cars are also common in the real world.

Thanks, I like that idea. I still may modify a set of switches to allow mainline crossing as the switches would be useful at train shows with double track lines. Paul

Here is my basement layout. Benchwork is built and track is down and trains are running. I need to modify some switches to join the inner loop and outer loop unless someone has a better idea?? http://www.flickr.com/photos/paul_foster/3...57621927657908/

My display/storage unit I built that hangs on the wall, built on a 4x8 foot sheet of quarter inch panel board. http://www.flickr.com/photos/paul_foster/s...57621927657908/

Emerald night monorail And I got to meet CopMike and Hinkley in the PAB waiting line.
-
Yep - right on the other side of the clunking door Paul

I completely agree with the above four points, they improved the event a whole lot. Being able to pack while listening for the raffle numbers got a lot of people out an hour earlier than they expected, including me. Someone poured a bag of the PAB into one and 2/3 of the regulat PAB cups from the stores. $5 was a steal!! Paul (Who was right next to the BILD booth)

I checked the cable listings and I don't see any morning show. I suspect the morning news show is only broadcast in the Chicagoland area. When I lived in Chicago, the cable version of WGN did not always match what was broadcast in the city and suburbs. Hopefully someone who is local can record all the clips and splice them together for others to see. Paul - Leaving in less than 8 hours....

Ditto - got nailed coming and going last year. You can always skip the car line and walk your stuff in through the back doors if you don't have that much.

I'll make sure the alarm is set for 5:30 Paul

I was thinking about taking the train going out and then flying back. To get into Seattle Friday morning, you would have to get on the train on Wednesday evening. Fly back on Sunday night and it is only 2 vacation days. AAA discounted fair shows as $135 one way. Hmm, I should check the vacation board at work, that might be worth the trip. Paul

Dave -- Have you looked at taking the Empire Builder out of Winona? I priced the train out of Tomah last fall and it was around the same price as a plane ticket. Paul

I would guess that this is what he based the track system on: http://www.mattracks.com/html/mattracks_home.htm What are the number of those windshield pieces. I can't seem to place them.

Cool - I'll be looking for it.

Are you bringing this to BrickWorld??

First the 4-8-8-4 Emerald night and now this.. Sigh, just another great creation that I want to build a copy of.
