Yes, probably I'll try those panel. This is a photo of two of these townhouse near one other of my modular houses and green grocer, taken last year at Play Modena event by my friend GianCarlo.

Thank you all. I'm happy you've noticed it and you like. I've worked much time on it.

Hi Wedge, yes you're right, all the three were at Modena Play event.

Sorry for my bad english . As you can see from the photos of the real building in dark red, the dark red brick is slightly behind than the white lines. It was difficult for me to make this particular because using the "classic" techniques, the offset always seemed too big. In the end I choose an intricate system using White Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Headlight , white Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with 1 Stud (Jumper) , Dark Red Tile 1 x 2 . The result was as I wanted, but if I had used a simply white plate and dark red brick, probably nobody would notice the difference.

Hi, here is other building of my modular town. I've built them last year and now I can show them to you with excellent photo taken by f_random with his softbox at ItLUG Latina 2013 event (all the photo here). Thank you Domenico. All the 3 town house are 16 stud wide and inspired by photos found out on internet, but at the moment there are no internal furniture. Have a look and, if you want, tell me your comments. Here is the Dark Red & white house: Here is the Reddish brown house: Here is the Black&White house (I'm not fully satisfied of this and I want to make some changes in the future) Here is the real buildings

Amazing. The building block residence alternate to plate effect buildings it's effective. And I like very much the different depth, it avoid monotony. I'm looking forward to see the rest of the wasabi district.

Almost 3 months, but in the meantime I was building another house and projecting other mocs (every now and then I like to move the focusing on a different theme so I don't bother. )

It's difficult to say the exact number of pieces. So approximately, without the interior (there are 200 tile only in the ground floor), I think 1800-2000 pieces.

So many compliments make me very happy, thanks. Ok, I'll try to study a modification of the roof to make it in DkBG. I've taken the photo outside in a very sunny day so I think this had emphasize the brilliance of the medium green, but this is a brillant color and if you compared it with sand green... yes, it glows-in-the-dark.

I'm very honored. A very funny colour discription

I bought the bricks on bricklink, but they are in some old belville sets.

Thank you all for your comments. The city is Ruse (Bulgaria), I found out many very interesting buildings in this city in the style I like most. My husband agrees with you, he keep on telling me it doesn't convince himself, but I'd like to build something in medium green so I loved immediatelly this photo. I thought light bluish gray would be too bright for brights colour like tan and medium green. It could be great in dark bluish gray but there aren't every slope type in this colour. The ground floor is almost finished, but the first and the second are still rough, as soon as I'll complete them, I'll post here.

B-RM-4A Hi, here is the second building of my modular town. A 32 wide building tan and medium green, inspired by a photo found out on internet. I've just finished the outside and I'd like to show it to you because I'm still working on internal furniture and I think they will not be finished early. Have a look and, if you want, tell me your comments. Here is the real building:

I think it's a wonderful project with many interesting ideas. I like very much the effect of the tile of different colors and non aligned.

A Guide to building a Medieval Village
papercla replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
They should be Hose Rigid 3mm, unfortunatelly the reddish brown/brown one's are very rare. Edit: maybe I was wrong and possibly they are Hose soft and not "rigid". Very inspiring guide Derfel, thank you very much. It's a pleasure to peep your construction stages. -

In the forum where I found the photo they say It is in Ixelles Neighborhood of Brussels so you're right its Belgium. At the beginning I've thought tan would be the most similar color but at the same time I was building another house (still work in progress) which primary color was tan so I choose light bluish gray in this town house to differentiate it. Certainly tan and medium dark flash would be a nice matching.

Thank you all. Tha back is all invented, not based on the real building (I found only that photo).

Here is my first step into modular town. A Medium Dark Flesh-Light Bluish Gray town house 16 stud wide, inspired by a photo found out on internet. At the moment there are no internal furniture (maybe in the future) and it needs some finishing touch both internal (stair) and esternal (in the roof). Have a look and, if you want, tell me your comments. Here is the real building (the neighboring houses are interesting too) When it'll be pubblic: My brickshelf
