  1. Hello all Im not sure if this counts as Ebay madness, but I do feel slightly mad to be selling all my minifigs anyway for those who may be interested, Im currently selling a large number of minfigs on Ebay. There are some quite rare ones in there, Im sure the collection would be of use to someone: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=170416878818 Im also selling a Cloud City set and 4483 AT-AT! Apologies if this isnt in the correct forum.... its been a while since Ive been here! Andy
  2. Hoth Luke :D
  3. I wouldnt be surprised if there isnt a carbonite Han included to be honest - this set sounds like it's based around the scene on the Super Star Destroyer where Vader is talking to the bounty hunters, and at that point Boba Fett hasnt even been to Cloud City yet and Han isnt in the carbonite. I could be wrong, but it'd make more sense for Carbo-Han not to be included. Cool. Though he will be different in one way of course - his body and legs are going to be bley! That'll upset the purists ;) Sounds very interesting... does he look like one of these guys?
  4. these sets will be out in most places by christmas though, wont they... although its officially the january 2006 line, in previous years they've always start appearing around november/december time
  5. Would have been cool, but a new Bossk head-mould was probably too much for Lego to stretch to :( will be interesting to see how they go about doing 4-LOM, Dengar and IG-88.... whether they make a good effort with them, or try and do it on the cheap, a la the Sandcrawler droids :/
  6. Awesome news all round. I cant believe we're actually getting a bounty hunter set, I think Ive died and gone to heaven! Im quite shocked that they're releasing so many OT sets in one go... that set list reads more like an OT fan's wishlist than an actual official release list. You'd think that they'd keep focussing on EpIII stuff while the kids have still got some enthusiasm for it. Its quite a poor marketing decision IMHO, but as an OT fan I'm really glad :) I wonder if the A-Wing crewman is just the same engineer we got in the old set (but in peach, obviously)? Just hope they give the A-Wing and B-Wing pilots some better (ie more accurate looking) helmets this time round..... IG-88. Marvellous :D
  7. great stuff, thanks for the info Sam shame about that cockpit sticker though eh. yuck :(
  8. Yeah I've come to that conclusion myself now ;) will make a nice little set.
  9. Got a question - I dont know much of the EU, so could someone please enlighten me about V-Wings? Ive had a search online and there seem to be two things called a V-Wing - one's an airspeeder from the Dark Empire comics, and the other's a new starship from ROTS (thats in the incredible cross-sections book). Is that right? And if so, which is it we're getting? confused in the north :/ -------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT - after a bit more searching, I think its probably more likely to be the new V-Wing from ROTS isnt it, seeing as this is actually in the film and is therefore canon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V-Wing_starfighter cool - sort of half way between an A-wing and a TIE fighter.
  10. The official game site has been updated : http://www.legostarwarsthevideogame.com ...seems theres a lot of info thats still "coming soon" though.
  11. The PC demo is online now at Yahoo Games (its a 227 MB download): http://gamesdomain.yahoo.com/feature/65222 The demo is the entire first level of the game. Unfortunately though my graphics card isnt good enough so I cant run it >:( its the Playstation2 version for me then!! (cross posting at FBTB)
  12. Yeah it looks like a sham doesnt it. Did you notice someone at FBTB noticed a couple of flaws in the set descriptions too - namely that Lego sets are always priced x.99 rather than x.95, and that Chewie couldnt come with C3-P0 on his back as it would be impossible to fit any sort of backpack to his moulded back. Oh well - back to the Sandcrawler ;)
  13. He says "Q4 2005", so it'll be the end of the year. Here's the link to his post: http://www.fbtbforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=570 I guess "Jedi Training" would be the scene aboard the Falcon where Luke is lightsaber training with the remote? I really hope all this info is true as I'd love to have all these sets, they sound great - however thats what also makes me suspicious! They almost sound *too* good, more like a fan's wishlist than a real Lego release. Shame we cant see those pics, just to be sure ;)
  14. Someone has posted some links to 4 new OT system sets on FBTB - the image links he includes dont work, so Im a little sceptical, but the set names and content do sound quite convincing: - JEDI TRAINING 51 pcs (7.95) Includes Luke Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, Han Solo. - DEATH STAR COMMAND 39 pcs (7.95) Includes Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin (!), Stormtrooper. - SLAVE 1 432 pcs (59.95) Includes Boba Fett, Han Solo in carbonite, Lando Calrissian, Princess Leia, Chewbacca w/C3PO, Stormtrooper, Stormtrooper. - REBEL RESCUE 218 pcs (Ice Planet Hoth) (29.95) Includes Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Snowtrooper, Taun-Taun, Wampa ice creature. ...so who knows, made up rumour or real? doubt it'll stay on FBTB for long, either way.
  15. It could be that the brick built droids are the big black dome shaped one (no idea what its called): and the treadwell with lots of arms: ...as they could probably be done quite easily. Cant believe we're getting an Uncle Owen minifig - Lego are going for the obscure option for once!
  16. ta-daa! http://toyfair.rebelscum.com/2005/legogame/Amidala.jpg
  17. Same here - even though Im not a massive fan of the prequels I'll be getting this game the day it comes out, just because it looks so well done :) I love the little bits of humour as well, like where Obi-Wan was shaking his lightsaber because it wouldnt work. But yeah it'll be really interesting to see all the minifigs and ships that havent been actually made. Hopefully Lego will think about producing all of them if the game does really well ;)
  18. Gamespot have posted the full trailer for the game: http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/legosta..._021705_ot1.asx looks great. Check out Darth Maul! (interesting that Vader and an OT stormie are at the end, considering that this is supposed to be a Prequel based game?)
  19. Looks like Im in the minority here but I'd much rather Lego have gone with the "plate" approach. The results just look much better and more movie accurate - take the AT-AT for example, the Lego version looks so much better than the "brick by brick" custom versions that you see online. The Lego master builder's Sandcrawler that we've seen a scan of is nice, but the build style just looks a little old fashioned to me now compared to things like the AT-AT and Turbo Tank :/ Hey ho - at least we're getting a Sandcrawler eh ;)
  20. the worst part is that we're going to have to wait until *autumn* to get it! :(
  21. 1500 pieces..... blimey that sandcrawler is going to be enormous! Im actually surprised they're doing it that way, and making it that big. I thought that they would have gone for the "side-plates" kind of build, like they used for the AT-AT. But should be a fun (and lengthy) build anyway :) just really hope we get some other figs besides the jawas and r2/3p0 <*crosses fingers*>
  22. ;) nah I mean the actual head, not the helmet! and yep the Vader fig in the new sets has a new face - doesnt have eyebrows (to match Anakin in the DVD version of ROTJ, where they airbrushed them out).
  23. I think its most likely that the helmet is the same as the old one, but it's just been stretched horizontally in Photoshop in this photo so that it takes up more of the image. Sort of thing I do all the time ;) Incidentally, on the subject of Darth Vader minifigs, I was wondering if someone with the 10131 Tie Collection set could help me out with some info - is the head of the Vader in this set made of the new bluey dark grey? I havent got this set, so I dont know. Its just that Im trying to figure out how many variants of the Vader minifig there are now (as Im a bit of a completist when it comes to minifigs, and I want to make sure I have them all).
  24. thanks! but after looking again at IGN, Ive realised that its only the Quicktime versions of the videos that require you to be a subscriber. The Windows Media versions can be downloaded by anyone! Not sure if this is intentional or a mistake on their part, but Im not complaining :) http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/694/694419/vids_1.html in the one called "Versus R2D2", there's a minfig version of Taun We! brilliant.
  25. The more I read and hear about this game, the more excited I get. It really does look like it might be very special indeed. And it could bring a lot of attention and new people to Star Wars Lego, which is definitely a good thing. Does anyone have a link to some video clips of the game? ign.com has got some but you have to be a paying subscriber to see them :( (hello all, by the way - Im new here!!) Andy.
