There is no good writing in Star Wars. Writers only rotate few core ideas. Most common one is about characters going undercover/undetected somewhere and that leads to a disaster. Example: Andor and his crew in imperial uniforms go undercover to the imperial base, same scenario happens in Kenobi when they try to rescue Young Leia, in the Mandalorian where Mando and Mayfeld get into an imperial base to steal info. In solo Beckett and his crew in imperial uniforms steal the ship and then go undercover the second time to steal nonsensium. Leia does it in OT while trying to save Han, Finn and Rose in TLJ in FO uniforms trying to enter Snoke's ship. Second idea is someone getting captured/imprisoned and then escaping/being saved which is a big part of Andor. Let's also not forget a comedy relief droid that we haven't seen before. The only difference is that Andor doesn't have to cater to younger audience which allows for different types of dialogue and better storytelling as you don't have to simplify everything.

That's your opinion. Some will agree with it and some will not, it's all down to people's personal taste. People that do like it are way too defensive about it though and take it as a personal attack if you don't like it. This month I have seen at least 20 people being kicked and banned from communities and blamed for ragebaiting because they don't like it which is absurd.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the Marauder vehicle at all because of the Mortar Trooper, but the vehicle was so nice that I should have gotten it as well and just cut my losses with that one figure. 2025 looks pretty dull, I am not really excited for anything so far. I am interested in Ahsokas interceptor despite it being a bit overpriced as I love interceptors. I think TCW Anakin and Ahsoka can be done really really well. I also want Plo Koon's starfighter, I loved the set as a child, but my Plo Koon's head started falling off and then eventually print on it started fading away so I don't even have a Plo in my collection anymore. I just hope the third figure is something cool. When it comes to ARC-170 I just don't like the vehicle at all in universe. So minifigures need to be pretty good for me to get it. U-Wing I am not getting no matter what, Night Trooper BP I am not getting unless they change the stormtrooper helmets which won't happen. Jango's Slave 1- My main incentive for getting this set are the figures, especially since I want a detailed Jango, and the used angry Jango is currently $160 with shipping on Bricklink. In my mind, when it comes to things I personally value, I am paying $140 for the build, which is fine, and $100 for the figures, which is acceptable. My fear however, is that LEGO will just rerelease the Jango fig in a mech/micro fighter like they did with Rex. If I get this set OR even buy these figures off Bricklink, I would lose half of the value inside a year. I know that's not how others see it, as you mostly look at figures as a bonus and focus on the build, but I don’t find these huge builds that tempting. I rate the 20th anniversary Slave 1 higher than the UCS version based on my preferences, look, and size. Still, I am thinking of getting the UCS version cause I would rather have any build than wait another 22 years for another Jango’s Slave 1, but the figures have to be exclusive. Very conflicted on this at the moment.

Thanks guys, I found it. Enoch or no Enoch, I am passing on the BP because of the stormtrooper helmets. I usually go out of my way to switch their helmets with old Rebels stormtrooper ones, but that definitely wouldn't work on this. Battlefront damaged helmets might, but it's not worth the hassle. I will Bricklink Enoch if he is well made and that's it. This will be the third battle pack that I skip in the last 10 years and all because of stormtrooper helmets. Hopefully there is one more battle pack left for 2025

The speeder in the snow trooper battle pack is an absolute beauty and I regret not getting more. I agree with everything you said. I see your point of view, but for me the lore behind each legion and their iconic battles, traits or missions is something that I am drawn too. The narrative wouldn't change, but it would definitely lose a lot of richness that makes Star Wars so immersive and helps me expand the world beyond what's directly shown in shows/movies. I love 332nd for example and their painted helmets aren’t just a visual gimmick they have deeper meaning and represent their loyalty to Ahsoka and that really makes you feel something when you see it nd it just means more, at least to me. I realize I should have been clearer in my point. I’m not trying to gatekeep army building, everyone should enjoy it however they want. My main criticism nd signature is purely directed at influencers who prioritize flexing over quality and accuracy, especially when they have the resources to do better. It’s even more frustrating when they constantly talk about accuracy and hold LEGO to certain standards that they don’t hold themselves to. When it comes to Clones and Death Watch Mandalorians: Squad: 9 troopers of the same kind, led by a sergeant/officer Platoon: 36 troopers of the same kind, led by 4 sergeants/officers and a lieutenant Company: 144 troopers of the same kind, led by 16 sergeants/officers, 4 lieutenants, and a captain I don't build higher than a company, as 661 Clones from the same legion/Death Watch troopers is a bit much. P1 clones have both sergeant and lieutenant figures available, but the only Phase 2 clone sergeants/officers are Hunter and the 501st officer, so you can get creative, add shoulder pads or whatever to make other legions leadership. Mandalorian Loyalists serve as my sergeants for Death Watch squads in one platoon, while I also have Maul's Super Commandos as sergeants for the other platoon and Gar Saxon is one of the lieutenants. Bo-Katan is the captain, leadership then goes Savage Opress<Maul<Pre Vizsla. When it comes to vehicles like tanks and AT-TE walkers, I count gunners, drivers, and other crew members as support attachments to the squad, and I don't include them in the squad total of 9 plus sergeant/officer. For Stormtroopers, First Order, and Sith Troopers, I follow the same structure as above, but the squad consists of 10, the platoon has 40, and the company has 160. The First Order is straightforward, as you already have squad leader and officer figure, and for imperials 2 stormtrooper sergeants and officers. Structure depends on the particular thing I am building it for For Endor, I love a platoon made up of 3 squads of Stormtroopers, 1 squad of Scout Troopers, and a bunch of support personnel, including technicians and extra officers, as well as AT-ST drivers. If I am preparing to board Tantive I am going for all stormtroopers. I should just stop as I can yap about this for hours.

For me, recreating the lore and following specific compositions adds depth and purpose to the hobby. It gives me a clear, small goal that grows over time, making the experience even more fun. I am not taking away from the spirit of what LEGO is, I am just pushing the limits of what it can be. I agree that kids should enjoy their sets however they want be it mismatched clones, sharpied clones, clones with stormtrooper helmets, it’s all part of the fun. But when it comes to LEGO designing sets, they could consider giving kids the freedom to be imaginative while also providing something for teens and older fans who invest time and money in it and care about accuracy. For example, the BARC speeder from a $30 battle pack is just something very lazily made. You can create an accurate version that pleases both casual fans, kids and those who care about details. This is premium product of a multi billion dollar company after all. Even better example, I had two Rebel battle packs as a teen in 2010, and it's only now on this forum, 14 years later, that I have learned one of the characters was Zev Senesca. To me he was Luke. Do kids even know or care who Vaughn is? They are probably just using all the accessories so all their clones look like Vaughn. Maybe none of them are Vaughn, maybe they are undercover Jedi or whatever kids are into nowadays skibidi toilet. But for someone who cares about accuracy or is going to buy hundreds of them, it really matters if you get that Vaughn figure right or not include a named character at all.

Building an army is like being a chef who has spent time mastering the craft, following the recipe while adding their own flair, carefully selecting the finest ingredients, understanding every flavor, and perfecting the technique to create art, a masterpiece. Even something as small as 9 x 332nd troopers with an officer from the 501st battle pack with a switched helmet from an extra Captain Vaughn has more soul and life in it than anything Solid Brix has done since he made his channel. He lifelessly spends $3,000 on 1,000 clones, stacks them on a baseplate, mixes in troops from different phases and legions, and throws in some Senate Commandos aimlessly, calling it an army. That’s like ordering sushi and claiming to be a gourmet chef. One technique takes skill, dedication, and respect for the source material, while the other is lazy, thoughtless, and completely misses the point. That said, everyone should enjoy building their armies and collections however they want! This is just my personal philosophy, and I honestly think many people do it the way they do because they haven't even heard about another approach and just copy what clueless youtubers do.

In my opinion, as an army builder, all these BPs have major flaws and feel like a rip off, as most people only want one faction out of them. Instead of building an army with a faction you love and getting a bunch of figures for $20, you are forced to pay for stuff you don't care about. Even if you want both factions, getting only six figures in the Rebels vs. Family Guy Stormtroopers BP for $40 is atrocious. And let’s not even talk about how they are making these expensive $30 battle packs now but can’t even get something simple like the BARC speeder build right, or even its size for that matter. I hated these type of sets as a kid and I hate them even more now. I also disagree that BPs shouldn't include rebels as I love Endor rebels personally and I would have also bought Tantive rebels now if they weren't in a versus pack.

I would also be really happy with Wolffe and Wolfpack, but my most wanted legion right now is 212th. After waiting for ages to get phase 2 Cody, having only three 212th troopers is depressing. (Sorry if this is wishlisting)

Funny enough, I rewatched the clone wars 8 times (some arcs even more) and I had to google who Commander Doom even is.

I never had a single issue until 2020. Since then, every 20th set has had missing pieces or pieces with some issues. I got a scratched Anakin's interceptor cockpit (2020) because they mixed it with other parts in the bag, causing it to get scratched. They sent a replacement, which somehow was even more scratched. The Speed Champions James Bond car was missing a random piece. The Mandalorian battle pack and AAT came with weird helmet related stuff, and I felt bad about replacing the 332nd helmet because at the time people were lying and saying theirs were scratched too, just to get an extra helmet. The Gonk droid part was missing from my Bad Batch Shuttle, but I didn't care about it and never asked for a replacement part. To be fair, they replaced everything for free and their customer service was excellent. But it’s really frustrating.

Yeah you are completely right, when I saw my first prequel movie I was 6 so some of the kids that adored these movies may be like 11 and we just won't know the full general consensus till another 10 years go by.

What you need to understand is that your opinion on this is largely shaped by your own circle, especially considering that only about 15% of the global population had internet access when the last prequel movie came out in 2005. A lot of us loved the prequels with all our hearts, but we were not out there debating and arguing online about it. We simply enjoyed the movies, collected the merch, and enjoyed the universe. The real arguments only flared up when the sequels came out and people started comparing the trilogies, this is also when people that grew up with prequels became vocal. Almost all of the early criticism andd division came from older, very vocal OT fans who were crying about midichlorians, Jar Jar, and CGI. They were the ones re-editing the movies and characters out of it, saying there are only 3 Star Wars films and whining how Lucas ruined their childhood. I really hope the Endor Village rumors are true, as the older version of the set is my white whale. I have a soft spot for Endor. If the battle pack is something like Endor Rebels, I would be pretty happy with that as well.

That's exactly like how I feel. Even though I am 18+ all these helmets, brickbuilt characters and midi scale sets do not interest me in the slightest as my nostalgia is for playsets, figures and vehicles. UCS Jango's Slave 1 sounds exciting, but I personally wish it was a $40-$160 set. I don't think I will get it as I mostly care about minifigures when I am make my purchasing decisions and LEGO can just release Jango in a micro fighter/mech a year later. This set reveal is also why I love leaks as anyone can just start setting aside $30 out of every monthly paycheck and have enough to get it by May. More and more excited for the Ahsoka's Jedi Interceptor though and Anakin's figure inside. Plo Koon's starfighter sounds cool as well, but I can't seem to find the price info or who the other figure inside will be.

Current sets would have definitely not appeal to me as a child and most of them don't even appeal to me as an adult. I would personally never EVER buy a helmet, brickhead, brickbuilt character or any of the midi scale sets as those type of things don't appeal to me. As a teen midi scale Falcon and Star Destroyer were the two worst LEGO Star Wars sets ever. As an adult fan, I love collecting sets that remind me of the fun I had as a child, especially playsets and vehicles with cool minifigs. I couldn’t afford all the sets I wanted back then, so now I am going for either things I always wanted but updated, things they never made or things I loved modernized. I am crazy about minifigures, army building, having minifigs of characters I love and my taste for what I like has not really changed. The main focus were always minifigs and close to minifigure scale builds. Nowadays it looks like LEGO is moving away from hardcore fans and focusing on casual fans and it's sadly working and being profitable which leaves fans like me behind, with not much that I can buy even though I love LEGO and Star Wars. It's a bit frustrating that it feels like they are prioritizing those new sets over the ones that originally drew many of us in, but you can still find some good stuff especially when it comes to the Mandalorian. For me the worst thing LEGO is currently doing that would decimate me as a kid (and that I hate now) is matching two factions into one set or having two vehicles in one set where you really just want one of them, but you are forced to pay double for it or even worse the thing that you actually wanted was poorly made because there is another build in the set (like it happened with the Durmstrang ship in HP).

I don't watch Star Wars theory, I am only subbed to his Harry Potter or Cobra Kai channels. Andor is disappointing to me due to poor editing (except during the prison escape) and writing, relying on tropes like 2 angry bar guys similar to those in A New Hope and just recyling things we saw over and over again. The plot lacks connection and coherence, with unresolved storylines such as Cassian’s sister, who was his initial motivation to join the cause, only for that entire plotline to completely disappear. Like why did I watch all those stupid flashbacks for? This is followed by side plots that don't lead anywhere, leaving me wondering why they are even there (especially Mon Mothma ones). The way Cassian ends up in jail is so lazily written that, as an avid TV show and movie watcher, I can’t recall anything else so poorly executed and unbelievable in my entire life and let’s not even mention the first security guard who died from a simple headbutt or Brasso headbutting a stormtrooper. The plot feels predictable and repetitive, with episodes often seeming like copy and paste versions of each other. Main character is just an unlikable sidekick from a spin off movie who we know dies so he not only lacks appeal, but most importantly tension, for example if he gets caught, he will escape, and if he’s in trouble, nothing will happen to him. The pacing is too slow, with simple plot points stretched over multiple episodes. Despite enjoying other complex or slow shows like The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, GoT, House of the Dragon, Succession etc. I dreaded each episode of Andor and forced myself to finish it just because it’s Star Wars. Minimal action, forgettable mumbling characters that weren't fleshed out enough for me to care about them, and a different tone than other Star Wars things further detract from its appeal. Random elements like music, AK-47s and the absence of aliens made things even worse. The only enjoyable thing was the prison escape scene and the way editor did few interesting things around that, like cutting out when people blinked to create tension. I wonder when Sail Barge will leak. I also apologize to mods for not staying on target.

After watching MandR's review of the Onyx Cinder, I am impressed by the set. I was surprised because I expected it to be black like the Knights of Ren transport ship from the pictures I saw. The figures are decent as well. I just wish the interior were bigger, especially for that price point, and of course, I wish there were fewer stickers. I wouldn't get it just to get it, but I would gladly buy it if I like the show. If it's anything like Andor or The Book of Boba Fett, I am definitely out. When it comes to Jedi Bob, I just don't see the appeal. I have no nostalgia for the character, and I am allergic to yellow heads, which is why I don't buy anything non-licensed and why I got rid of my older Star Wars sets. It seems kind of dumb to me to pay a 'Star Wars tax' of around 10%-20% on a set to get non-licensed characters and ships from some random show. It makes sense for kids to get it after watching the cartoon, but then again, it's kind of too expensive for kids, so it's just for people who have nostalgia for him but didn't bother buying his figure. Idk it feels like a shelf warmer.

I am very happy to hear about the ETA-2, as I prefer it over the Delta-7. I just wish they were a bit smaller. The price is interesting because, in 2009, we got Ahsoka's Delta-7 and a Vulture droid for $40 with a similar piece count (291) and I think it was Walmart exclusive. Hoping there is another interesting figure inside. Would never buy a midi scale set so pass on that, but 4+ N-1 sounds interesting if it's from TPM. Not having a battle pack in January wave is criminal, but better nothing than family guy stormtroopers.

What do you mean by "overcorrection"? Prequel movies are still massively neglected, only TCW gets love. As a Prequel movie fan there is one single playset or vehicle with figures this year in the Sith Infiltrator that you can get and that starts at $70. In 2023 Prequels didn't get a single thing. As a Sequel movie fan you have absolutely nothing in 2024 and nothing in 2023. OT has 2 UCS sets, $80 Desert Skiff set with 6 figures, Star Destroyer with 6 relevant figures ,Tantive playset with 6 relevant figures and a mech in 2024. Tie Bomber, 3 mechs, 2 dioramas, Yavin 4 base and an UCS set in 2023. Yeah the entry for OT is terrible, but it's not any better with PT or ST who only have 1 playset or vehicle with figures all together in 2023 and 2024.
