Thanks guys! Yeah the night time pictures turned out awesome! And Maciej his station was the perfect place to take the photo's!
-
Yup it is! Thanks! And there's still a long way to go!
-
Thanks! Yeah it was a insane amount of work to get it right. But once they where all lit up it was worth every minute of work! Thanks! And the backstory is growing every time I take it with me to shows!
-
Most of the signals are from the Noppenbahnen guys. It was a colab layout at Schkeuditz from multiple international LEGO train builders. Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks! And there's still so much to do to get it done

Last weekend I took the Bahnbetriebswerk to LEGO eisenbahntreffen at Schkeuditz. Did find a number of points for transporting that I really need to work at, but it was a pleasure to take it with me to the event. This took me a lot of time and energy to finish it at the last minute. But there are over 100 LED's lighting up my Lego Trans Europ express. Everything from cabine lights to table lamps are fitted with LED's. I use cheap Aliexpress LED's all the wiring and connecting is custom made/done. And there a lot of hours in doing that. The pictures that are featured in this post are from the Lego eisenbahntreffen in Schkeuditz. There are multiple amazing layouts including one from Maciej Drwięga, UrbanErwin and noppenbahnen. This selection of photos all feature my SSN 01 1075 at the lego eisenbahn treffen in Schkeuditz. It was an amazing opportunity to take this loco to this event and trough all these layouts. The loco ran with a few minor problems which are now on my to do list. Trains, layouts and more in these pictures are from, Maciej Drwięga , Noppenbahnen, Pieter Post, UrbanErwin, Jelle Wentink Tamás de Groot and Thomas / Ts__. Thanks! Yeah a LEGO turntabe and roundhouse are a couple of the biggest projects you can inmagine. On the section that I built which already has a roof there are over 2000 1x4 black tiles on the roof itself.
-
Haven't got that much space left😅. It will be in storage and at public events for most of it's life time!
-
80 studs is the length of each section. 11th track is just in! One more to go and than it's time to built some walls!
-
Well there is some progress. Bit slower than planned. 8 tracks in. 4 to go😅 by Enrico Lussi, on Flickr Progress on the LEGO roundhouse and turmtanle. 8 tracks are in, 4 to got. Once it's finished it will be the biggest roundhouse out there....

Let's spin some loco's around. Really looking foward to the first event where I'm able to use this!! by Enrico Lussi, on Flickr A short demo of the turntable in action. Really looking foward to use this at a event!! Next up! Expanding the roundhouse from 3 to 6 tracks.
-
Did some building this weekend. Currently really close on finishing the turntable. Just some small holes to fill here and there, than I will be able to add more tracks to the roundhouse itself!
-
Just some lbg tiles which are placed in a angle and attached to the r40 circle. I haven't really posted anything recently about my turntable and roundhouse. Been extremly busy the last few days. I did manage to put some work into the scenery around the turntable and small portion of the roundhouse. Next up are some small details for the scenery, the details behind the roundhouse and than the interieur.
-
Thanks for the advice! The amount of parts that go into the roof is just mind blowing. I believe I already used around 2.500 1x4 Black tiles for just 3 stalls/tracks. The tip for gaps is a good one! Will definitely keep that in mind. Lights is high up on the list. Remote opening doors might be something I want to add in the future. Those are more on the list for things I can add later, one of those things/ideas is a large water tower. I couldn't agree more! And this is great for my lug to use for displaying all our steam loco's. The roof of the first 3 sections of track is finally finished. Took so much time! The roof has so many unique and strange corners and gaps to it. Next up is some scenery around the roundhouse and turntable.
-
Another update of this giant project! Currently working on the roof extensions, which are a pain in the megablocks. Getting the angles right is a pain staking work that involves a lot of measuring. I hope I can start on the scenery around the model soon, got a lot of cool ideas for that for a while and I'm looking foward to adding these the layout. Oh and there still 9 tracks to add
-
The plan for now, is just the roundhouse and turntable and the scenery around it. With a simple connecting track to the main line. I do have some plans for the future.(something really big!!)

Around 1.5 years ago i displayed my Bahnbetriebswerk NeuKirche for the last time at a model railroad show. I case you missed it check out these links for the BMR article of that show and a video, where the Bahnbetriebswerk was featured in: https://brickmodelrailroader.com/index.php/2020/02/20/bmr-report-de-nederlandse-modelspoordagen-in-rijswijk/ I dicided to take a part the old one, and start a new version, which would predominantly focus on one thing, a turntable and roundhouse(or ringlokschuppen mit drehscheibe, or ringloods met draaischijf). At the end of last year I started work on the turntable itself. I bought some tables from Ikea that have leggs which are adjustable in hight, making it easyer to fit the sarlec pit the tuntable uses.I first used a similair powerisation that West-Turngate uses on his turntable. Recently with some advice from UrbanErwin I changed that out for a more simplere and effectiver powerisation. The roundhouse itself will have a total of 12 tracks, I'm currently working on the first 3 and I'm at the point of adding the roof sections. Once these are complete I will copy and paste the design for the next 12 tracks. So stil a long way to go! The deadline is LegoWorld in Oktober. However I hope to bring the WIP to Skeuditz in August.

Thank you! And your driving rods add a lot to the model! You definitely got a new regular customer
-
Thank you! The LED's are from Aliexpress.
-
Thanks, the wheels where from Big Ben Bricks, the rods from bricks-on-rails.de. Thank you! The lights add so much life to it! Can't waith to get this on a propper layout!

My SSN 01 1075 is finishend. I was able to connect ,the lights UrbanErwin provided, to the Pfxbrick this weekend. The locomotive is built in scale 1:45, has 2 Pf L-motors for power in the boiler and is controlled by a PfxBrick with XL-speaker. LEGO SSN 01 1075 scale 1:45 by Enrico Lussi, on Flickr For the locomotive I made 3 wagons which the SSN uses to organize events trough the Netherlands and Germany. I made 2 Bm238 and 1 Mitropa Speissewagen. The design of these are based of UrbanErwin his design. Thank you! Yeah the quality is really good! Thanks mate! Hopefully you can see this locomotive in real life this year Thank you! Yeah it's my favourite steam locomotive. I'm lucky enough to have the real one about 15 min from my house. And have had a lot of special train rides with the real one pulling the train trough the Netherlands!
