The then called "*New Tender System of Collective Locomotion*" ["*Nuevo Sistema Licitado de Locomoción Colectiva*"], popularly known as the "*Yellow Bus*"["*Micros Amarillas*"], was the public transport system of the city of Santiago, capital of Chile, launched in 1991 and finally replaced by Transantiago on February 10 of 2007. Until 1990, Santiago's public transport did not have a control on the number of minibusses per route, nor on the age that many presented, nor on the high rates for the user and there was no regulation that put a limit on the gases emitted by buses, which ended up generating high pollution. in 1992, the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, carries out an advertising campaign to promote the New Tender System of Collective Locomotion, which was based on a television spot and also in the delivery of a brochure with the name "*My Bus*" ["*Mi bus*"] to users, where the list of routes numbered by three digits appeared, accompanied by an origin and destination.
