Honestly, I can't see how a Townie would think that sacrificing himself to save the Traveler (and therefore getting unlyched) would help town, when we weren't even going to lynch you anymore. Had you been Oceanide, we could have had you investigated last night, as the prime suspect of the day. But no, you thought you make us waste a lynch and have one more go at killing one of us at night. Two, as it turns out. A very productive night. And me going all "we need to lynch the Traveler or we are bound to loose" only helped you decide. But I didn't plan on the Traveler going away so soon, which in a way saved us. Yay Traveler. So he went "Please Zandder, get lynched instead of me, I promise to unlynch you and Town will be so proud of what you did! They'll never want to get rid of you again! " -

Of course not. But you have no excuse of not knowing more about Luxxon's win condition if you were willing to risk your life for him. You tell us only about vague promises of him helping Town. In exchange for what? You wouldn't say. Because his win condition is not something that would explain your course of action, of course. Unless you're a Gorgon. -

That's funny. A neutral player doesn't help town's numbers, as you probably know. But keeping Luxxon alive only served scum purposes, as the real Oceanides realized soon enough when they were privy to Luxxon's win condition. The win condition he cared to share with us anyway. For Tameekys' benefit, Luxxon won if could bring town and scum numbers down to parity (3-3, 2-2, 1-1, whatever). He wanted Town to allow Oceanides to be lynched/killed until he fulfilled his mission, in exchange for help (with scrolls, presumably) and the guarantee that he would help Town achieve victory once we had parity (at which point, we would have completely lost control of the lynches, on top of not having night kills). It was obvious to us that Luxxon was asking for the sacrifice of many Oceanides, and that the only way he could hope to achieve victory would be for him to find and help Gorgons. So good riddance. I don't know how Zandder and Luxxon managed to kill two Oceanides on the same night. That was unexpected, but it's fortunate in a way that Luxxon disappeared last night. My worst fear was that we would reach a 2-1-1 ratio (two Oceanides, one Scum and Luxxon) at which point our lynching ability would have been lost. It's possible/probable that Luxxon lied about his win condition, because we never reached town-scum parity. We're still 2-1. Or, what worries me more, that he didn't lie about his win condition. Could Tameekys be Neutral too? Even an investigator wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Honestly I don't care at this point, as my only option is to have Zandder lynched, and hopefully this will also help fulfill Tameekys' win condition if he's not Oceanide. Oh and Zandder, feel free to edit any posts today, no one will notice! -

How exactly could he have helped us? He voted against the majority of Town, he used scrolls for his own purposes, how did he manage to persuade you? -

You don't strike me like someone who would be easily bamboozled. You were willing to sacrifice yourself, because you trusted Luxxon would bring you back from the lynched? Basically you trusted the Traveler more that me, who brought you Coralaaze and asked you to lynch the Traveler before he would ruin our chances of town victory. -

I beg to differ, had we lynched him he wouldn't have been able to lynchproof a scum, which was in his best interest. And now with everyone else dead, it's pretty clear to me who the last scum is. -

Would you like to explain why you thought it would be such a great idea to sacrifice yourself for Luxxon, when everyone else wanted him lynched? Yep. That was their plan from the start, it would seem. Now let's see how Zandder explains his scheming with Luxxon. -

Zandder you murderer, you will pay for this. And you Luxxon, I don't know what your real win condition was, but obviously you lied to us all along. I should have listened to Nancy and have you lynched earlier. -

We need to consider all options at this time. A wrong move and Town is doomed. We're 4 Oceanians, 1 Traveler and 1 Gorgon today. If we lynch town by mistake, and the Gorgon will probably kill another tonight, tomorrow we stand at 2-1-1. Two Oceanians, two Not-Oceanians. We won't be able to lynch the last scum, even if we know who that is, if Luxxon decides to support the scum. If we cannot lynch, and we can't kill at night, don't you see that there's no way that we can still win? -

Unfortunately that doesn't clear Eeyara if she was the Traitor and Coralaaze and Nerrio didn't know that until the investigation result was revealed. -

I did the maths. If we lynch Town today, we are going to lose no matter what. If we lynch scum, we win (doh). But if we're not absolutely 150% sure of our lynch, the only way to Town victory is to lynch the Traveler. Sorry, it's not personal. Vote: Luxxon. -

Let's think about this logically. I don't have much time right now, but I'll get us started. Marwyyn was killed. Luxxon was supposed to protect her. Two choices here: 1) Luxxon didn't actually protect him, which implies he's gotten in touch with the remaining scum (which is only natural, since Luxxon needs to help the last Gorgon in order to win) and they planned Marwyyn's murder together. Since the Traveller identity had gotten pretty clear by yesterday thanks to Cadd, not only players who had scrolls so far can be accused of plutting with the Traveler. Anyone could have pulled this off last night. 2) Luxxon did try to protect Marwyyn, but the Gorgon used a Strongman action and bypassed the protection. Which means that scum had an inventor. I say had, because inventions can't be shared between players AFAIK. If the last scum had an invention, it means the scum Inventor is dead by now. That hypothetic scum inventor could also have passed along a Ninja action which may or may not have been used, but nothing else. So Marwyyn's death can be explained in two ways, which may or may not involve Luxxon. Now Marwyyn was an interesting choice. She already had an action gifted by Nancy with which she was supposed to test someone last night. She also was supposed to receive another action that would have protected her from further harm. So last night was the "right" night to kill Marwyyn from scum POV. This might have been a coincidence, but points more towards an insider knowledge of roles and night actions. One that Zandder or Tameekys did not have to my knowledge, they could have learned a few things from speaking to Luxxon last night, but not really enough. Okay, asking Luxxon to protect Marwyyn twice did suggest Marwyyn had an important role in the town block, but wasn't it easier to kill someone unprotected and not have Luxxon look bad? Interesting thought. For some time I found it mildly unsettling that Nancy was inventor and the Gorgons could also have an inventor. I have been thinking long and hard trying to figure out how Nancy could actually be the scum inventor and fool us into thinking she was one of us. We knew what kind of inventions the scum inventor could create, and that didn't match what Nancy was verified to invent. Let's say that the scum inventor could invent only some specific actions for Gorgons but others for Town in order to fool them. Could Nancy be scum and have fooled us all along? Say she was the scum inventor from the start, she couldn't have used the Strongman herself. And if another Gorgon was the inventor and the Strongman has actually been given to Nancy, then she wouldn't have been able to have someone else give a block action to Marwyyn the night before, since Nerrio was already lynched. Unless Nancy is absorbing all of the actions of the dead scum? Unlikely imo. To recap, if a Strongman action was used to kill Marwyyn, Nancy can't be scum. If Luxxon didn't protect Marwyyn, then basically anyone could be scum collaborating with Luxxon, including Nancy. The other player knowing very well what was going on in the so-called town block is Eeyara. She has been trusted, but she could have pulled all of the above just as well. There's probably more, but I need to go now. I hope this gives you all some food for thought. By the way, so far I'm not accusing anyone. Just putting down some thoughts trying to figure out the most likely lynch candidate. For that matter, despite all of the above, I don't think Nancy is the most likely Gorgon candidate right now. It takes way too many assumptions and twists for it to happen. Occam razor and all that. So let's keep thinking this over. -
Thack Desteck—Day 5, A Pain in the Butt

Sorry for being away most of the day, the demanding work of composing music and performing music and all that stuff that generally starts anew on Mondays did take a toll on my time. Anyway, I see that paranoia runs rampant and votes fly everywhere. From where I stand, I still believe that Tameekys is our best bet. Perhaps because I don't know him as well as the other folks here? But at the moment I don't believe Cadd is scum, and I don't believe Eeyara is scum, and I may be a fool for believing that. At least I'm obviously not trying to save a fellow scum because there's only one left. So my vote stands. I'd also like to add that in my private interactions with Zannder he did sound Oceanian, but I detected a soft defense of Coralaaze on day, 2 and his vote switch at the end of day 4 didn't make much sense (from Tameekys to Nerrio, when Tameekys was his number one suspect and she had voted for Nerrio right before ). So Zannder would be my second choice. -

I do think something is fishy about Tameekys. Day 1, this reply to Coralaaze: Later day 1, this is Coralaaze (emphasis mine): And on Day 2, replying to Tameekys: I don't know, those two appeared to have something special going on. Their level of personal interaction is odd, especially since Coralaaze wasn't known for interacting a lot. Vote: Tameekys.
