The Forest 3 Mafia Day Six—In The Endgame
Whitby Walrus replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Nor do I. The only thing I can think of is that the Hellions were incredibly unlucky and every time they tried to recruit they were either blocked or they tried to recruit a town PR role. No, I can't quote word for word but it basically said "Hey, it's me Parrot, I'm an anti monster... and then he went on to tell me everything I've just told you regarding the recruit, the investigation etc. unvote: Hadyn Hippo Vote: Bennett Bulldog I vaguely remember about two years ago I played a game in Brickywood. In that game, the final scum sort of waited in the side-lines whilst the other town players fell on their swords. Could very well what's been happening here. -

As Bennett said your interaction with Brewer points towards you being scum. Your unvote for Brewer feels like a subtle nudge to both me and Ember to unvote Brewer and vote for Bennett. You then gave us your list on Day 3 which surpise surprise You and Brewer were not on. -

I'm curious as to where you actually got the notion I was scum or not. Leevi might have said it once(?) On Day 4 and everyone took it as the gospel truth. We're they being sheep? I don't know. Regardless it's best I clear this up once and for all. I'm NOT a Hellion or a Monster. I'm a villager. Parrot knew this. Parrot had a day mailman role. Meaning he could send PM's to anyone during the day phase. In addition He also had an X shot investigator role. Which i presume was given to him by the second inventor. He investigated me on Night One and the result was town. However he wasn't able to recruit me because they'd already recruited someone on Night One and so the masonry was "full". He told me all of this through his mail action (via our host). He wanted to contact me because he wanted to try and confirm as many Townies as possible. He didn't trust his other partner who we now know was Caldwell. I don't know who they recruited on the first night but it could have been either a Hellion or a Villager I don't know. All I do know is that I'm the town Bodyguard. I protected Bennett last night. I didn't kill Ember which means it must have been one of you two. At this point in lost for words. I don't know who is who. -

Well I assume since you were so distrustful of Ember you killed her in the hope that she was scum. Which as we know she was not. Well I’m assuming you killed Leevi and Ember. I’m assuming you killed Gracie since she was a Hellion. Nights 1 and 2 there were two kills per night. So I assume whilst Caldwell (or whoever) killed one of them you were presumably responsible for the other. I am not/was never in Parrot’s group. So I don’t know what to mean by that. You have to be the last monster. You and Brewer immediately jumped on the bandwagon to get Bennett. Brewer then voted for you in one of his last acts. Playing WIFOM here but did he do this to make you look Town? It would be the first time that’s happened before. Brewer blocked me on Night 4. So you know for a fact I didn’t kill Leevi Lion. It wasn’t Ember either. By process of elimination the most logical choice is you. -

You've played your cards well Haydn. You're the last Monster. You came out earlier today and declared that there can't be any Monsters left today. Which to me is a subtle way of trying to divert the attention away from you. You were hesitant that Ember was town. You unvoted for Brewer who we now know was a Monster. Vote: Hadyn Hippo Yet you had no trouble killing Leevi Lion. At least I assume that was you. -

As scummy as she is I don't think Brewer was lying. Remember on Day 4 Brewer claimed she blocked Caldwell on the same night he claimed to have killed Ronan. If Brewer was lying Caldwell could have called BS but he admitted he was a Hellion and accepted defeat. Are inventors allowed to hand actions to themselves? The recruit thing would also explain both scum team's wind condition about "controlling 50% of The town" But there's still an unaccounted kill. Who killed Leevi? The way the voting went yesterday to me suggests there can't be any Monsters left. Perhaps Leevi was the inventor and targeted a PGO? -

Hold your horses there Haydn. If you believe that Brewer was the scum blocker and blocked me on Night 4 then who killed Leevi Lion? I don’t think it was Brewer and Ember didn’t appear to hint she had any kind of killing action. So it must have been either you or Bennett. -

Lynch me? I said I thought Ember was town, something you were doubtful of. You were cautious of switching to Brewer. And rightly so since it seems he was probably your scum buddy. -

I didn’t say I was certain Ember was town. I just said I don’t think Bennett and her are both scum. If there are two monsters left and Bennett is one them then that would leave either you or Brewer as his other Monster scum mate. My issue though is that both you and Brewer immediately voted for Bennett today and to top that off Bennett has his own crusade against Brewer. I know we’ve seen some crazy mechanics in the past but I can’t see any logical reason as to why a scum would want to try and off their own teammate if they’re on the verge of winning. Do you think Ember is town? If not then why are you voting for Brewer and not him? -

Unvote: Bennett Bulldog Vote: Brewer Bunny Thus might be for the best. It might not be. There's no way Bennett and Hadyn can be on the same team here. Or Brewer either. I think there's a small possibility Hadyn and Ember are on the same team and have played this very well. In which case hats off to your guys. -

This is why I’ve become slightly weary of Bennett being scum. I can’t figure who is other partner would be. I don’t think it’s Haydn. As well as building up a solid case against him Bennett voted for him on Day One when he could have easily helped hammer Braxton who we know was town. I don’t think it’s you (Ember) either after Bennett said “All we know is that the other is not Hellion - but they could be Monster.” yesterday. There wouldn’t be much point in you having that information if both of you were Monsters anyway. And I know I’m not aligned with Bennett. That only really leaves Brewer. But if he is Bennett’s monster partner why the hell has he voted for him instead of spreading the vote out potentially buying Bennett an extra day? Same goes for Haydn too. If there are two monsters left all they would have to do is convince one of us to vote for whoever they wanted to lynch. So it wouldn’t make sense for them to vote for their own teammate. For all we know there could only be one Monster left and everything I’ve just said is rubbish. But I have my doubts here. -

The two immediate votes for Bennett make me feel that Bennett and Haydn are not on the same team. And likewise, Bennett and Brewer are not on the same team either. But then I don’t think Bennett and Ember are both monsters so it’s a sticky wicket. Day 2 is particularly insightful as a lot of the players currently alive voted for one another in the first few hours of that day. Bennett went for Haydn and Brewer went for Ember. Makes me think they’re also unlikely to be on the same teams. Bennett was the first vote on Huxley on Day 3 but I could see Huxley giving permission for Bennett to bus him since Huxley knew he wasn’t going to be that active anyway. Vote: Bennett Bulldog -

I think Bennett is monster. But I don't think that Bennett and Ember are both monsters. Becuase in which case why ou them on a separate masons team to begin with anyway? This is the one I can get behind. I too think Bennett could be a Monster along with Brewer. This is what I was saying earlier. If there is a second inventor out there why did they not counter claim when Myrtle claimed on Day 2. The only reason they wouldn't is if they were scum. If I was the town inventor and someone who was on the verge of getting lynched also claimed Inventor I would be seriously suspicious of the claim. How so? The villagers can only win if they eliminate all the mafia. -

The only reason I'm slightly concerned about the Inventor is why didn't they try to counterclaim when Myrtle claimed Inventor during Day 2? Presumably they didn't know Myrtle's role. So unless they were a scum inventor there would be no reason not to counterclaim right. The only other option is that the 2nd Inventor is a backup one to Myrtle and gained the ability when she was lynched. -

I could buy there being two blockers. Scum and town. So Caldwell, thanks for the help. If also like to to know if you had any other rol3s lik3 a blocker at the start. -

Now this is interesting. This indicates either one of you is lying here. However do we have any evidence to support that Brewer is a blocker? Otheriwse I’m going to Vote: Caldwell Crocodile Myrtle appeared to be blocked by a day blocker since her action had been day modified where as Brewer’s role appears to be that of a night block. Point taken. I jumped the gun on what I’d read. -

One thing I forgot to mention. Leevi towards the end of yesterday you said this: ”I’m a bit surprised that everyone followed me to Huxley and no one added on to Caldwel” What exactly did you mean by this? It feels like a subtle way of getting someone to unvote for Huxley and vote for Caldwell. Possibly allowing Huxley to survive. Hear me out, Caldwell has not been the towniest of the towns. But it’s an unusual comment to make. -

Whitby Walrus replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I can assure you right now I am not a monster or a Hellion. I am as a great animal once said “The Towniest of the towns”. This conversation has gone far too smoothly for my liking. I agree that Ember and Bennett are definitely Anti hellions but what makes you so sure they’re not Monsters? Looking back at yesterday’s thread something did stand out to me. Specifically Huxley’s vote at the end for Bennett. It’s a common scum tactic, particularly if you know you’re on the verge of getting lynched, to vote for a fellow scum player so that player can then look Town the next day. Huxley vote for Bennett wasn’t even that strong either. Something about him being scummy because of his inability to receive an invention. That said I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here. -

That's interesting. Now Myrtle said she was a day Inventor whereas you seem to have been targeted by a Night (regular) one. Perhaps there was a backup inventor which inherited the action when Myrtle died? But otherwise it seems we have a 2nd Inventor. Question is Who have they targeted on previous nights? -

Whitby Walrus replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Even if statistically speaking maybe the scum have never been the first voters, a game like our last Pirates one has proved we can't make general assumptions. It's making general assumptions like "scum probably won't do this..." or "scum won't be allowed to do that..." is what caused the town to lose our last game. Your list feels more like a deflection from joth you and the other 4 you didnt mention. I don't disagree with you. As I said before there probably is a scum in that list given it's 60% of the players. You're backtracking their slightly because that's exactly (or at least near enough) to what you said: -

I'll admit this was my fault. I wrote that post at about 11 at night and was super tired. I meant to add a vote on using the merge function thing but obviously that didn't happen. So yeah, apologies for that. Vote: Haydn Hippo Fair enough but your phrase was "Scum signalling tactic". Why would scum I hint (either directly or indirectly) that they were involved in communication outside the day thread? What about the other 4 animals? The fact they voted first means they probably won't be scum? This doesn't really narrow anything down. It just feels like a " look at all these people, one of them must be scum" I could pick six names out of a hat and say that there was probably a scum in there. -

Whitby Walrus replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
A vig kill feels like the most likely option for Braxton. I don’t understand why scum would want to get rid of a Villager who was under scrutiny already. I’m deliberating on Huxley. Whatever alignment he is he’s of no help to them. I feel it’s better to focus on the players who are active so they can respond anyway. Going back to my earlier comment Infeel Haydn Hippo was quick to try and disprove what Parrot was saying about Anti-Momster/Anti-Hellion pretty quickly and I’m not sure I like that. Is he trying to hide something? I’ve been theorising Parrot might have been a bomb. Which would make Pashca the Vig. Or visa versa (Parrot was the Vig and Pashca was the bomb) but if that’s the case then why didn’t the scum kill last night? It’s all very confusing. Would anyone like a Taco? -

I agree. I feel Brewer seems to react with genuine confusion whilst Haydn Hippo tried to spin it into sounding scummy even though he didn't understand what Parrot had fully said. -
An interesting revelation. As far as I’m aware an inventor should be able to give out their gadgets to anyone. Regardless of their alignment. So even if Bennett was of a different alignment to that of Myrtle there’s no reason why he shouldn’t have been given the gadget. It’s possible Myrtle might be some variation of the False inventor. Meaning she gives out gadgets that don’t do anything or gadgets that have a negative effect etc. But then Myrtle said she was unsuccessful. Which makes this unlikely Otherwise, the more likely explanation is that Myrtle was blocked. Possibly by a town blocker who was suspicious of Myrtle’s suspicious behaviour yesterday. The main reason the Inventor sits uneasy with me is that according to our history books an Inventor can be of any alignment. Town, scum or otherwise. Myrtle being an inventor doesn’t mean she has to be a Town one. The claim itself doesn’t really feel particularly scummy or townie. And given Myrtle had 6 votes on her a the time. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to claim at that point. I see the reasoning there. Because if Bennett was revealed as scum Myrtle would have a lot to answer to. But then again a town inventor could make the mistake of handing an action to a scum. So it wouldn’t necessarily confirm Myrtle’s alignment. I have no problem believing Myrtle is an inventor I’m just deliberating as to whether she could be a Town one. Her behaviour hasn’t been townie so far.
