The Forest 3 Mafia Day Five—Particularly Wary
Ember Elephant replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Odd that Brewer is voting for Haydn. Whitby has all but confirmed he's the last Hellion, You're still my favorite animal in the village, forever and ever, even if you are scum and you couldn't find where I was hiding. -

Ah. I see we're all playing music. I'd like to participate too! *Ember takes out his golden microphone to compliment his golden pipes* "It won't be easy, you'll think it strange! When I try to explain how I feel about the game. That I still need your help after all that I've done You won't believe me, but they're scum! Although I'm dressed up to the nines, Now I'm here to help you. I had to let it happen, I had to change my vote. Couldn't stay the whole game doubting Bennett!" "Looking out of the window, staying safe at night. I choose freedom, and I want to kill all the scum. But nothing has impressed me at all about their plays. I never expected it to!" "Don't cry for me, Autumn Falls! The truth is that Brewer is scum! All through my wild days, my mad existence, I kept my promise! Don't let the scum win today!" "And as for fortune, as for fame I've never lied about the scum, Though it seemed to the world, that I would. They are illusions, they're not the solutions that we need to win! The answer was here all the time, Brewer, Haydn, and Whitby are scum! Don't cry for me, Autumn Falls!" "Don't cry for me, Autumn Falls! The truth is I never lied! All through my wild days, my mad existence. I kept my promise! Don't let the scum win today! Have I said too much about my role? There's nothing more I can say about the scum! But all you have to do is look at me to know, That every word is true!" *TRUMPET* Whitby, make sure you change your vote to Brewer. -

I can't escape the thought that I might be getting played here. I don't know why, but the idea that you're scum has been gnawing at the the entire game. It doesn't make sense that you'd be lynching Brewer if she was your blocker buddy because you would be unable to prevent Whitby from killing tonight. Whitby will kill either Haydn or one of us, and Haydn will kill Whitby or one of us. Maybe we can get lucky and they'll try to kill each other tonight. I can't rationalize that Brewer is the town blocker. That she blocked Whitby last night speaks volumes. Knowing that the two of us aren't Hellions is essential. They killed and blocked the only two people that they knew weren't on their team and weren't Hellions, which is Leevi and Whitby respectively. Vote: Brewer Bunny It might turn out to be a massive error and the dead might be screaming at me from the great beyond. If Whitby kills me tonight and Haydn kills Bennett, then it will be a parity tomorrow of the Hellions and Monsters. They literally cannot win unless they eliminate each other, so what happens then? A draw? The scum would have to keep one of us alive, as in either me or Bennett, so there's another day. Then I guess one of the final town would have to decide who should get the win. Whitby and Haydn will have to try to kill each other tonight. Haydn is, apparently, completely against lynching Brewer because that removes the Monster's blocker. I imagine the Monster plan is to lynch Bennett, then Brewer blocks Whitby and Haydn kills him and then the two of them outnumber the town, which is just me. It's clever and crafty. Like I said, I could be totally wrong about what team everyone is on. I could just be giving the Monsters the victory today if Bennett is actually a Monster. Whitby, side with what I hope is the final two remaining town. I suppose it's your only chance at trying to get a victory. I hope I don't get screwed over here. What if it's Bennett and Haydn? Or Bennett and Whitby? What if it's Whitby and Brewer? Or Haydn and Whitby? Or what if it's Ember and Haydn? Wait, no, I'm Ember. It can't be me. I'm town. I am the new towniest of the town. Also nobody has found me yet. Stay away from me. At least three of you are evil. Haydn, you're a shit seeker. -

I really want to believe you since we've been working together since the start. But the thing that hangs me up is that I don't know for absolute certainty that you are town, because that can't be confirmed. Just as you don't know if I am actually town. I have a feeling that I'm going to hear about it in the conclusion how foolish I was and how I likely lost the game for the town and won it for one of the other teams, but I don't know if I can shake the nagging feeling that you're a Monster. We can't lynch Whitby since he's the last Hellion. It's either you or Brewer that's scum, since Brewer is obviously not town having targeted Whitby knowing he was the Hellion killer somehow and that blocking him would prevent a kill. The thing is, both Brewer and Haydn laid out cases as to why we should lynch Bennett and were the first two to vote for him. Did one of them see the way the wind was blowing against him and decided to hop aboard? Which one? Brewer is also the blocker. I don't think, besides Myrtle claiming inventor, that we've seen another town power role this entire game, or even heard about one. Caldwell claimed vigilante but we know that's a lie. Bennett claims that there has/had to be one out there after Myrtle since he received a protection ability, which in this topsy turvy game is possible that there's two inventors and no other town-aligned power roles. The real question is, has anyone else in the town claimed a power role beyond Myrtle and Brewer? Both Bennett and I are vanilla. Pierot and his buddy would have been vanilla. Ronan was either vanilla or had a role that he didn't tell Bennett or I about, which is possible since he might not have fully trusted us. So, that's at most five people right there that didn't have a power role. Add to that four scum on each team and that's at most nine people that didn't have either town aligned power roles or any power role. So it makes me wonder if the town would have been given a blocker at all. Or why Brewer would have blocked Whitby despite, to my memory, not really going after him noticeably, unless she knew that he is the Hellion killer, knowing that it couldn't have been me or Bennett (unless Bennett is her scum partner) since we can't be Hellions. Since a majority has been reached, my vote on Bennett does not really matter. Unvote: Bennett Bulldog I will make a further decision about who I'd like to vote for later. It won't be Whitby because he's the last Hellion and lynching him would lose us the game. I've said what I've been thinking very openly. I don't want to lose us the game though. I know I'm town, so basically I have to decide between three people. Two of them are scum. It could be Haydn and Brewer together, and they're lynching Bennett since they know he's a villager and thus getting rid of either me or Bennett today would win them the game. It could also be Brewer and Bennett and it could be Bennett and Haydn and all this bluster between them could be deception. Whitby would obviously vote for anyone today that's not him. I don't know why Bennett would vote for Brewer instead of Haydn who voted for him first unless he, like me, believes she's actually a scum blocker. If Bennett is a monster with Brewer, then she'll be the last one alive and she won't be able to use the block tonight against Whitby. If Brewer and Haydn are monsters, then they can obviously do the block kill tonight against Whitby and win the game. I notice that some people have grown very quiet since voting. Obviously you're not. Bennett can't be a Hellion. I think Whitby's just effectively confirmed he's the last Hellion. This is one of the only things that's made me think that you're actually town. I wrote down privately, in my private journal, that I was afraid that you were recruiting Ronan since you knew he was your fellow monster pal. I've also been alive this entire game. I could have easily been silenced by you on night one or two. In fact, I suggested that we recruit Haydn, and you rejected that, instead making the judgement call to recruit Ronan. If you're a monster, I don't know why you'd recruit Ronan and then just kill him. Unless you did it to cut down on our masonry since you know I'd be by your side regardless. Sorry if none of this makes sense. -

Brewer makes the most logical sense in being Bennett's scum partner. We can't discount that it's actually Haydn trying to trick us. You're obviously the last Hellion, of course. It's tough. -
The Forest 3 Mafia Day Five—Particularly Wary
Ember Elephant replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's tough, because as the last person to vote I know that if Bennett is a monster, his monster pal has already decided to throw him under the bus when they could have voted for someone else. Not to mention that I've been Bennett's mason friend the entire game. I think it's unlikely to be Haydn having led the charge against him, but I can't say for certain. Vote: Bennett Bulldog I'm not sure how this will go, but I suppose that I'll find out soon. Perhaps there's only one left on each team after all and the Monsters were unable to recruit an extra person. After all, I know that there are several ways in which you could fail to recruit from my anti-Hellion mason instructions - being blocked, the player being a Hellion, or if the target is a mason. I assume the criteria are the same for the Monster team. From what I've gathered from his comments Pierot was the anti-Monster mason, so he would have been unable to be recruited, as would his partner. Perhaps it's worth noting that Pierot could have been killed by his mason friend in order to silence him. Maybe each mason team had one scum and one town. Pierot could have been killed by the Hellion's since his partner would have been on that team being anti-Monster. Bennett, on the other hand, used a different strategy from the Hellion team and decided to keep me alive rather than kill me because he figured I would be likely to side with him. I'm not sure if any of this makes sense to other people besides just me in my head. -

That doesn't make any sense. How is lynching me, a member of the town, the best way to go? I didn't hit a nerve when I laid out my case as to why you could be a Monster, did I? Haydn said he would vote for you when the time comes in just a few hours. I didn't want to, since I wanted to believe you were town, but if it's a you or me scenario, it will be you. -
The Forest 3 Mafia Day Five—Particularly Wary
Ember Elephant replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Why are you so adamant that I'm scum? I'm not. Operating under the assumption that Bennett is town, it's got to be you, Brewer, and Whitby. Obviously Brewer is almost certainly the scum blocker. Judging by your hopes towards her and your comments, she's probably on your team. Whitby, if you're the last Hellion, say so. That way we can lynch either Haydn or Brewer. Unless Bennett is doing the long con on me. It's entirely possible that's he's responsible for killing Ronan even after being the one who suggested recruiting him, and not killing me since he thought I'd be pacified with being on his team. If Bennett is the last town with me, and we lynch him, then the remaining scum can kill at night, probably killing both me and someone else, presumably one of the monsters. If Bennett is a monster, which is entirely possible because I know he's only not a Hellion, then that means that there's one Monster, one Hellion, and two town. (myself, and someone else) We're all reasonably certain that Whitby is scum, in fact almost entirely sure considering that there was only one scum kill last night. Bennett claims there's an inventor out there. It's entirely possible that there is no inventor and he's just making up receiving things. I'm becoming increasingly paranoid towards pretty much everyone. I know I'm town. There's got to be one other town out there somewhere. How do you know this? What if the Monsters were blocked from killing last night and the Hellions killed someone? Surely Caldwell's kill ability was passed on to the last Hellion. What if Whitby is actually a Monster and was blocked last night? If you're so sure that Brewer is town, then she wouldn't have had a bias and could've blocked either side. I think it's likely, as I said, that you and Brewer are on the same team (Monsters), which is probably why you're sticking up for her and you apparently know that she definitely blocked a Hellion. (Whitby) Otherwise you wouldn't know which team was blocked last night, right? -

Ember Elephant replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Does the last Hellion want to stand up so we can lynch one of the two Monsters today? I promise we won't lynch you in the future. Actually I don't think there's a way for the town to win if I'm honest. The last Hellion can just kill Bennett or I tonight and the last Monster can kill me. Then there's a parity like in the last game. Brewer blocked Whitby last night, I think it's safe to assume he can go today. The question is will his teammate join us? What if he's the last Hellion and then we lynch him? Then the final two Monsters can just kill me tonight and win the game. Or Bennett, provided he isn't a Monster in disguise and has been lying to me the whole time. This has been something I've been considering since the very start of the game. Is he actually a monster? This is something I guess I'll find out at the end of the game in the Conclusion. I've got a feeling that this is the last day today. -

Sadly I'm worried of the exact same thing - that you might be a monster after all. If we're both town, however, that means everyone else here is scum. I have no idea how we're going to win this if the two of us are already outnumbered by scum. -
The Forest 3 Mafia Day Four—Enough Already
Ember Elephant replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Why don't we all come out and just start claiming nonsense. I'm the doctor! No, wait, I'm the watcher. No, I'm the rolecop! You have to believe me, I said it in thread. I can't be lying. We're meant to believe that one of the scum teams doesn't have a killer and therefore there's a vigilante? There's seven of us left. I'm town, I think Bennett is town. That means that if the scum had the same recruitment ability that our mason..ry...had, it means that there were three scum on each team, provided they were both able to recruit by the time that Huxley was lynched and Gracie died. That leaves two scum on each team, or four scum in total. If Bennett and I are town, that leaves one more townie out there (potentially, using some logic that might be totally wrong) If the scum didn't recruit that means there's two scum left on each team and five town. In a game such as this with the 15 players we started with, I'm of the mind that the scum are able to recruit. If Bennett isn't town, then I guess that's egg on my face. But everyone here can't be town. The problem for them is that both scum teams need to work with the town in order to win, and then get rid of the town. So who does that leave to be scum out of that list of six? Besides Caldwell. Now, everyone go ahead and claim town and claim whatever role that you probably don't have so some people are hesitant to lynch you. I'm mason vanilla so I'm willing to bet that Bennett is also vanilla since we both have the same role. That leaves, with my possible logic, one townie out there. We can't all be town or else the game would be over, obviously. -

The Forest 3 Mafia Day Four—Enough Already
Ember Elephant replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That's something that I've considered, and I think I mentioned that on a previous day. It's why I think we might be outnumbered. If the scum team was indeed bolstered up to three each, that would make two Monsters, two Hellion, and three town. There's always a chance that one of their recruits might have failed. Our recruit ability had three possible chances of failure: 1) If the target was a Hellion. 2) If we were blocked. 3) The player is another mason. Since we successfully recruited Ronan on Night One, we knew that he was not a Hellion or a mason, which could have left him being a Monster. We know today for sure that he is town. I've been naturally suspicious of Bennett throughout the game, particularly since I don't know his exact allegiance, only that he's not a Hellion. However I've grown to trust him as the days have gone on. One of my major fears was that Bennett invited Ronan to our special team because he was his Monster scum buddy and it might pacify me towards both of them. As I said, now we know that Ronan was town. Bennett was the one who suggested that we recruit Ronan, which makes me believe that he is town. Therefore, I am reasonably certain that Bennett is a villager and I know that I am a villager. If each scum team was up to three, and just lost one each, that would mean there's one more villager out there besides the two of us. I don't know if Pierot's mason friend is still alive or if they were able to successfully recruit someone at night. Please let us know if you're alive. -

Four votes against Huxley Horse in such quick succession. A bit odd, I think, especially since he was only sitting at one vote for awhile. With five hours left and I suppose in the interest of a lynch, I can: Unvote: Caldwell Crocodile Vote: Huxley Horse I don't know how I feel about this. -

Seems our exceptionally anti-Monsters friend has died, which is not the best news to receive. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to openly share this in thread. I'm willing to bet he was killed by a Monster, since he advertised himself as particularly anti-Monster. That just leaves wondering why the Hellions went after Pascha Poodle. Did she strike a nerve when she voted for Leevi Lion? Leevi was one of the people who voted to lynch Myrtle. Still, it's unfortunate out of the five dead that none were scum, especially with two scum teams and with the scum presumably trying to strike out and target each other. We could try to operate under the assumption that there's two teams of three when it comes to the scum, which means that the town are already outnumbered, six to four. Unless something crazy has happened. I'm in the same boat as you are, despite our previous disagreements. I have no idea what's going on. -
You're the one who brought up the Braxton lynch and kept banging on about it, bringing it up over and over again throughout the day. It seems as though you'd wanted an easy lynch based on someone misspeaking and you used a simple misstep of words to achieve that. Let me ask a question - if I was on the other scum team, why would I be signaling to the opposing scum team, who I am supposed to eliminate to win the game - that I am scum? Why would I also be signaling this in thread, in the open, in front of everyone? Unless you haven't read the rules, you should know that the scum teams have to kill one another, or perhaps you're attempting to cast suspicion upon me by using flimsy evidence such as that, the same as you did with Braxton. I see, so you're voting for me because I voted for someone to make a Day One lynch, but then changed my mind about it after the fact because I thought it was a bad lynch? Seems completely logical to me! Or it seems like you're trying to start a quick bandwagon. All that we need next is for Haydn to step in and magic up a reason as to why people should vote for me. It's a good thing the leader of our village is a sheepdog, there's certainly a lot of sheep that need to be herded around here. Speaking of sheep as well, I think I will vote for Myrtle as well. Perhaps Cleo was on to something before being murdered. Vote: Myrtle Monkey
-
Somehow I had a feeling we were too focused on Braxton yesterday. I don't think we can necessarily blame most of the people who voted for him, it was a bandwagon through and through. I imagine it was someone town aligned that got rid of Braxton, especially after all the suspicion that surrounded him yesterday. Unless it was a scum killer that got rid of Braxton thinking he was on the other scum team based on how suspicious people thought he was. We might not even have a town aligned killer and it could just be two scum killers trying to get rid of the other scum team while also trying to get rid of us.

Explain to me how lynching Braxton will tell anything about me? I think he's being bandwagoned, therefore I must be on the same team as him? I am aware that a Day One lynch is important. While my vote for Caldwell was mostly to just say that he needed to focus instead of talking about ham sandwiches, it seems to have worked as he's now talking about Braxton. You might be getting a bit of tunnel vision on this idea while it could have been that Braxton might have just misspoke. While, yes, the Hellions and the Monsters are both scum that need to be lynched, they are on different teams. While to us it might seem that all of the scum are put together in one team, in reality they aren't. If this wasn't explicitly said to us in the opening post, then there would be major cause for concern for him bringing up that there are two scum teams. I mean suppose I'm being slightly contradictory to what I said at the start of my post. I don't want Braxton to be lynched for what I think is just him misspeaking however I'm all for a Day One lynch to analyse vote patterns. At this point, nobody else seems to have done anything glaring or obvious. People have been fluffing about, but that's usual Day One nonsense. The Braxton lynch seems to be the only one that's gaining any real traction, even if it's one that I don't really agree with. Unvote: Caldwell Crocodile Vote: Braxton Bear The retaliatory vote doesn't help either. -
The Forest 3 Mafia Day One–Hellions and Monsters
Ember Elephant replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Please tell me you're not going to speak like that the entire game. My tiny elephant brain can't understand it. While you do have a point, I think it might just be trying to nitpick what he's said. To my understanding of the game mechanics, it seems to be a three-way fight between us town, and the dueling scum team. I don't think the scum would be privy to the knowledge that a neutral exists in the game, and I don't think that if Braxton was the neutral himself, that he would give himself away on Day One. I think he's just read the rules and perhaps assumed that a third party neutral is in the game. Our host, the sheepdog, said that there weren't going to any rules that are too bonkers, and if two scum teams is an indication of what not too bonkers is, I'm on the same assumption that there might be a neutral out there somewhere. What their role or agenda is, I don't know. I appreciate the contribution. Vote: Caldwell Crocodile You say Braxton is a funny one, but that's about all. -
