Wow! Did not expect this particular lineup for the June wave, but I’m excited! A little worried about the big Hogwarts set being less detailed than what we’re used to, but I’ll reserve major judgment until we get images of the sets in a few months...which feels so far away I will say though that what we’ve heard about it might entice me more than the 2018 Great Hall, which I’ve held off buying and may never end up buying after all if this new set ends up being as cool as it sounds -
What a fantastic and beautiful model, I think it really captures the essence of the ship and why it’s one of my favorite ships from Star Wars. Really impressed with how affordable it is given the part count, gonna try to save up so I can build it myself. Just a phenomenal job all-around

I finished building DA a few hours ago and it’s stunning. I tried moving the modules around a few different ways to see what looked best (to me), and decided on a layout where Ollivanders/Scribbulus and WWW are connected on one side, and facing them across from them are F&B and QQS respectively. It pretty much aligns with how I’ve imagined where each shop was when thinking back to my memory of the movies, and even if it’s not the most accurate, being able to look down the alley is something magical -

So DA arrived in the mail earlier today! Had to go to work soon after it arrived, but I’ve just finished the first booklet with Ollivanders and Scribbulus (~3 hours build time), and let me tell you, pictures really don’t do the set justice. Hoping to finish it all tomorrow! -

Same here as well, hopefully that just means it hasn’t been updated and the orders are already on their way -

As a consequence of ordering DA when it became available for purchase before midnight EST (jumping the gun on my part in hindsight ) the GWP did not get added to my order, but I called customer service this morning and they sorted it all out for me, so I’ll be getting those BrickHeadz after all -

Just ordered DA alongside the Winter Snowball Fight set (40424), it’s cute and it has that one snow hat that I kinda want for my SigFig, so I can be more like Holden Caulfield -

Just wanted to get this question in before the likely huge surge in activity this thread is gonna get tomorrow, but to those who are planning on getting DA, are any of you thinking about what order you’ll want to build the shops in? Personally I think I’ll build WWW first, then slowly get to the others, as I can’t imagine I’ll have enough free time to build the whole thing in one sitting -

Went out to my local target and went through all the checkout aisles until I finally found some CMF bags—felt for Dumbledore then took a random one. I was right about Dumbledore and got Myrtle! Then I went over to Kohl’s and found they had a box of them out, picked the one farthest to the back on the left row and felt Griphook. I’ll be getting a whole set through The Minifigure Store within a few weeks, but these are great ones to have multiples of, plus I was impatient (I live in Nebraska btw) -

The Harry minifigure leaked in July though, July 15 to be exact, so it doesn’t seem too far out of the realm of possibility. I’m curious to see when the Ollivander figure leaked in 2018, though -

Obviously there will be more to gush about when we get HD pictures of the set, but I already love some of the details we can already see, like the spiderweb above the Daily Prophet’s office—it makes me think fondly of the original HP sets which loved to throw spiderwebs in the background of the Hogwarts sets. I wonder if that was the designer’s intention? -

Someone pointed this out before, but I find it curious how DA has that Knockturn Alley entrance with the slanted window, and it reminds me immensely of the slanted window technique in the Pirates of Barracuda Bay Ideas set released earlier this year, which parallels (at least to me) with how the design of the main tower in 71043 was inspired by the design of the Apollo Saturn V rocket, another Ideas set released recently prior to that. Just something that stood out to me -

Didn’t even notice until now—Fred and George use the same hair piece as the one they had in 2011. I definitely feel there were more accurate choices, but this still isn’t too bad. Really curious about what color their clothes are, hard to tell with these pictures -

I wonder if there will be four instruction booklets, one for each section, so you could potentially have four people building at the same time—seems like that would be a really fun family activity -

First impressions—well, more like fifth and sixth impressions because I’ve been catching up on reading all the replies here while going back to the pictures—just wow, it’s incredible. It takes some time to get used to some decisions like the pink above QQS and the minifigure count, but for what it is, spectacular. I may hold off on more detailed thoughts until we get the HD pictures (hopefully this leaking means we’re only a couple days away!!), but so far really pleased, definitely still gonna pick up day 1 -

Lolllllll (off-topic and a bit of self-promotion here), I wasn’t able to easily find an up-to-date list of sets with the highest piece count so I went and made my own, and if you’re interested in seeing that, just search “highest piece count” into Brickset under BrickLists, and it should be the only option there. So yeah if any of you are curious about just HOW MANY sets have over 1600 pieces, there ya go. Sad to see that Diagon Alley will only briefly be in the top 5 -

Just about to comment that one, since someone on IG offered that possibility. Ahhhhhhh so now there are three different options
