  1. I just realized something typing up a PM to triggs. The cop claim wasn't public yesterday, and unless they just got lucky that means scum were in contact with and knew who the cop was. Now, the cop has been operating through Jack until now - I was never contacted. Thomas can back this up. I didn't know I had been cleared until it was posted in thread. What if Jack is the Godfather? They tried to kill Thomas night 2 but barty was blocked by Triggs! Jack knew Thomas was going to try and investigate Malcolm tonight and when he got a town result he and Hammond couldn't push for my lynch today! So they blocked him. The only thing this doesn't explain is how Timothy got blocked last night. I think Louisa and Jack are the last two scum. Henry can't, he led the lynch on Barty. It's the only way I can fit everything together without Malcolm and I being scum, which we aren't. If you don't believe me, lynch me today to clear Malcolm tomorrow, then go after Hammond and Jack. I would be more than glad to lay my life down for my crew. After all, I don't have a night action, only the knowledge that Malcolm is town.
  2. So here's who we have left and what they have claimed: Joseph - Mason, investigated as town Malcolm - Mason Patrick - Jailkeeper, almost 100% town Hammond - Blocker Nigel - Watcher, investigated as town Thomas - Investigator Henry - "Vanilla", investigated as town Timothy - PR, not claimed publicly, likely town, allegedly blocked for several nights Jack - either missed his claim or he hasn't claimed publicly either, investigated as town And scum killed AND blocked last night. I don't think Timothy and Hammond are working together - it's possible, but unlikely, and that option resolves the issues with who was blocked. It's also not too much of a stretch to say the Godfather has been investigated, and it's likely Jack or Henry. The role modifiers they have claimed behind the scenes are just as likely to be scum-aligned as town-aligned. The remaining scum have to be 2 of 3 of Hammond, Alden, and Ogden. For people doubting that Malcolm and I are masons, think about how hard that would be to pull-off as a fakeclaim. Assuming there were four scum to start with, we'd be risking half our team on one claim and betting neither of us would die, be investigated, or be caught doing anything at night. Even assuming I'm the godfather, which I'm not, do you really think malcolm would also be a godfather? We had no control over which of us got investigated. 50/50 chance we out both of us. And, we claimed this way back on Day 2 when scum were not in hot water yet, and Patrick hadn't even asked for claims yet. There would be no reason to claim masons, of all things, that early, it's a massive risk for scum. And since it seems everyone has a role of some sort, it's not too much a stretch to say scum got lucky in claiming one of Remy, Jane, or Pinkerton's roles. One of them was likely the vig, too, since we've never had more than one night kill...
  3. I missed that Timothy was blocked last night. While I was initially hesitant to vote off Geoffrey, you’ll also see I was the first to vote for him. Obviously I’d rather stay alive, but if lynching me and seeing I’m town will clear Malcolm and bring us closer to rooting out the Imperial scum I’m all for it.
  4. Investigator got blocked. I think Hammond is the best choice for today. I’ve expressed my suspicions of her in both public and private over the last few days and she’s laid low ever since claiming Day 2, and to me Geoffrey’s guilt indicates Timothy’s innocence which indicates Hammond’s guilt. More thoughts after my slumber.
  5. Seen it a million times before. Geoffrey’s defense is almost too aggressive. If you were town and getting lynched/losing tracker would implicate Timothy as scum, you should be at least somewhat willing to make that 1:1 trade, or at least not so vehemently against it. Just going off probabilities and the fact that the simplest explanation is usually the best one, you are an Imperial turncoat. Of course there’s a chance we are wrong, in which case it will be dealt with tomorrow and you still end up on the winning end, if you’re town, which is looking less and less likely.
  6. Or the scum didn't kill last night. They have been recruiting or just wanting to confuse us into lynching one of our PR's today. As I said before, I don't think Geoffrey "tracking" Patrick last night is particularly a tell either way. However, the simplest explanation is usually the best one, and that's that scum have a tracker, explaining Geoffrey's results from the first few nights, and they tried to kill Patrick last night but he protected himself. Can we vote yet? Vote: Geoffrey Holton
  7. Malcolm isn’t scum because I was investigated as town and we claimed Masons to Patrick and Nigel before I knew I was being investigated. Masons would be an incredibly risky fakeclaim to make because as soon as we’re tracked or watched doing something at night, or one of us dies, it would be all over and in a game of this size that’s likely half the scum team gone in one blow. We’ve our shared suspicions of Gordon for a while but because Triggs has rightfully kept most intel mostly compartmentalized, we weren’t aware he had claimed Inventor. I don’t see how the Inventor claim could be false. There’s no other way he could have known about Nigel having/getting the one-shot protection unless Gordon, Jack, and Nigel are all scum together, which is possible, but highly unlikely.
  8. Geoffrey claimed tracker and said he was trying to verify Triggs was town. He said he tracked Timothy night 1, saw nothing. He wouldn’t reveal his night 2 results in public for fear of ousting another PR. He saw Triggs target himself last night. All allegedly, of course.
  9. Perhaps, then, I was mistaken on my analysis of the Pinkerton wagon. Obviously I had no knowledge of the fact you had claimed Inventor. As far as I know, you tell the truth about Nigel and his protection - that’s what I was alluding to with my partial knowledge of the inventor, since I’ve been in contact with Nigel and Triggs since Malcolm and I first claimed Masons some time ago. Nigel didn’t use the protection since he watched Triggs, right? Unless the tools can be used concurrently with a PR, I can’t say I am familiar with the exact mechanics of an Inventor.
  10. I have secondhand information that can at least partly corroborate the existence of an inventor handing out one-shot power roles. More importantly, since it seems I’m cleared now, you can clear Malcolm Langley as well - we are Masons. I’m still of the opinion there was a scum voting for Pinkerton Day 1. It’s too easy a lynch opportunity to completely pass up - with Remy dead, Malcolm a Mason, and Nigel cleared by Jack, that implicates the last man standing - Gordon. Something to think about.
  11. Phew. I’ve been tossing and turning all night, afraid we’d sent an innocent man to the waters. Now, I don’t think Nigel seeing Geoffrey targeting Triggs and claiming tracker is particularly scummy - but neither is it particularly townie. I would like to hear his reasoning, and of course, the timing of the tracker claim is vital. Scum must have known Nigel would be watching Triggs, and likely protected too, so why would they try to target him at all? These are legitimate questions.
  12. This is a good point, but if you’re scum you have to watch the fine line between defending a (rightfully) accused scummate without coming off as too zealous, or when there’s so many people on the bandwagon trying to dissuade it would do more harm than good, from a scum standpoint. But, as you said, you’re not claiming a night action, so if you’re town we don’t lose anything vitally important, and can lynch Timothy tomorrow. I’m pretty sure Triggs is town, and Louisa is most likely town. Learning the counterclaim was a jailkeeper instead of a blocker changes everything. The only thing I’m worried about is what Gordon suggested, that scum tried to kill Barty last night but he was protected, and Timothy and Barty are both clean, leaving us with two dead townies and far too many PR’s out in the open at Day 5, I think it would be. The only upside is it seems a quasi-town block is starting to form as a result of the outed-PR’s, so that’s nice. (Why is the text like that? I didn’t do that )
  13. These two statements sum up my thoughts exactly. unvote: Hammond vote: Bartholemew
  14. Why is everybody claiming? If everyone is telling the truth, three, four if you count Remy, PR’s have been outed. Nigel, do you have any intel from your watching that could back up the blocker/jailkeeper claims?
  15. If you buy Bartholemews explanation that the blocker claimed to Triggs because he was going after Hammond, you also have to factor in that there were four other people going after Hammond just as likely to be town as Triggs, and that’s why questioning the blockers reasoning to vet their claim as Malcolm and I have done is not particularly suspicious as I see it. Wouldn’t it be more suspicious to take somebody’s claim at face value? Deception is the name of the game.
  16. Ooh hoo hoo, this is all kinds of scummy. Even if you are town, that information should be compartmentalized until you were cleared, which you most definitely are not. Trying to goad Triggs into revealing the real blocker so you teammates can off him tonight? If I wasn’t sure you were Imperial scum earlier, I am now.
  17. We don’t know for sure this mysterious blocker only revealed him/herself to Triggs - plenty of members of our party have been rather quiet since these revelations came in the public sphere. There could be another one out there. That... sounds like a bad idea. Unless it turns out Hammond and Triggs are both scum, bussing one to “clear” the other, but that seems awful risky from an Imperial standpoint. In which case it’s a great idea. I say we lynch one, see the flip, and if they were town we lynch the other tomorrow. I still want to hear from Triggs about why he was chosen as the “blocker’s” mouthpiece, but right now I’m leaning towards voting for Hammond. Mostly because this is the most reasonable thing Hammond has said all day, and there being two blockers is an incredibly weak defense. Screw it (as is the pirate tradition!) I’m voting now. Vote: Louisisisia Hammond
  18. So are you saying you don’t know? Pirating be no laughing matter! Argg!
  19. I sleep for two minutes and everybody goes bonkers! I don’t like Hammonds claim, I was suspicious of Hammond before, it seems very deliberately timed to get out in front of a counterclaim, as if she knows she’s going to be in hot water no matter what. However, there’s also a chance she’s telling the truth, though it is very convenient she blocked someone last night who’s... dead now. In the interest of fairness I want to know why this mysterious counterclaiming blocker picked Triggs. What makes him more likely to be town than anyone else? At Day 3, barring the involvement of other night roles, it just seems like a shot in the dark that could have easily, or already has, gone awry. What if there is no counterclaim? What if Triggs is making it up so we lynch our town blocker? That’s a possibility. I withhold my vote for now. It’s likely our lynch targets for today are Hammond vs Triggs. ***blocked someone Night 1. Remy obviously couldn’t have been blocked last night
  20. Arr, that be unfortunate. Hammond is my top suspect. I expressed my displeasure with her deflecting yesterday in what seemed to be a heavy-handed attempt to save Remy, but I agree with Geoffrey in that it seems she was trying to make herself look good when Remy flipped.
  21. I echo the others sentiments. If you’re a loyal pirate and actually have a night action, there’s no reason to not reveal it.
  22. Triggs (hey that’s you!) and Alden have both raised legitimate suspicions about Remy flip-flopping and I’m convinced there’s at least one Imperial voting for Pinkerton yesterday - Remy has drawn the most heat of any of those four. I also find it odd he has had both Hammond and Dixon not-so-subtlety try to deflect attention away from him. I don’t like sending anyone to the sharks Day 1, as has been well documented, but if we don’t vote anybody off today us pirates will just be spinning our wheels, and not in a good way! Vote: Remy “Ze Baguette” Fontaine
  23. Remy is definitely the leading candidate at this point in the day, but these pirate get-togethers can be volatile as the winds of opinion change faster than my favorite brand of rum. Does rum even have brands? How’s the selection on this ship? I agree with Malcolm’s assertion that there is likely at least one imperial voting for Pinkerton yesterday. I’m also watching you Gordon, since I’m naturally distrustful of furries and what you said yesterday about “voting early is pro-town” still seems odd.
  24. Argg! Why would being a topic of discussion make him piratey or not piratey? Feels a bit like you’re trying to deflect attention from him, like water deflects off a clams backside... or something else nautical.
  25. I takes an issue or two with this peculiar statement that voting early is exclusively a piratey move. Soldiers often lead the mob to bring the hammer down on a poor innocent pirate before anyone knows what’s what. For lack of a better option, methinks I’ll Vote Gordon “The Furry” Smith Argg, I’ve returned from my daylong rum-induced coma to cast me vote. I don’t want a lynch because we’re far too likely to be making one of our own good pirates walk the plank, and like you said the soldiers should be trying to thin our numbers as quick as they can. I am of the type to want to be gathering more information and likenot before sentencing anyone to the sharks. To yer other point, like I said before, there’s usually too many eel-guts and fish-eyes flying around the first day anywho for any of this to mean anything, even later on when we’re more learned as to the movings of the night. Have ye ever seen anybody convicted in a later day because of how or who they be voting fer on the first day?
