Vote: Jack Alden

?? If you suspected Hammond enough to vote for her yesterday, why would you tell her who you were jailing tonight knowing she has at least some sort of blocking role? I don’t think we should lynch Timothy. I think we should lynch you. I’m merely entertaining the possibility Timothy could be your accomplice, and it seemed in your original comment it seemed you were implying Timothy was the best option for today.
-
Why would scum want to kill you? You split the vote yesterday and are a viable lynch candidate. Do you think we should lynch Timothy? Or, simplest explanation is best, you’re the Godfather and both you and your teammate came up empty in whatever you were trying to do last night.
-
Can I vote for Jack yet? If Louisa was scum I think she would have just blocked Patrick and there would have been a kill, but that didn’t happen, so she’s probably town and the extra-block we’ve been puzzling over was a one-shot. Jack/Tim are who we’re looking for?
-
I don’t see Timothy as scum because Nigel saw Timothy target him the night Malcolm was janitored, Timothy wasn’t blocked, there was no night kill, and Nigel didn’t die. I don’t know what scum action that could be, and it lines up with his claimed town role.
-
I don’t know how many times I have to say it. I’m certain Jack is scum. I feel Lousia could be scum, but there’s a chance she isn’t. I’d rather go for the sure thing.
-
Jack. I don’t see anyway Jack isn’t scum. Maybe they’re just bussing each other today figuring one will get lynched and the other can slink away.
-
Unofficial vote count: 2 for me 2 for jack 1 for Hammond 1 nonvoting If it’s 4 town and 2 scum we need to be unanimous today...
-
Vote: Jack Alden But now Louisa is going after Jack which makes my theory that they’re scumbuddies look not so great. My head hurts. Where did the block come from? I still think Jack is scum. Maybe the JOAT just has a list of actions to pick from and isn’t necessarily a bunch of one-shots.

I am a Mason. Malcolm and I were Masons together. I have no night action, and I have not left my bunk on any nights of our voyage. I was investigated as town by our late investigator. I believe there are two scum left. Malcolm was janitored by scum to keep me from becoming 100% confirmed as town. I was in contact with Patrick early after Malcolm and I claimed, but have since been cut out of the loop and carried on no private messages of any sort with anybody in several days. The only thing I know that hasn’t been posted in day threads is Henry and Jack’s claims, though I don’t know which belongs to who, though I will add either sounds like something scum could plausibly claim to keep town PR’s off their backs and/or cases. I think Jack is the Godfather and his argument that “If I was scum and the investigator revealed himself to me he’d be dead already” holds no weight since for all we know they tried to kill him, but blocked kills nights 2 and 3 have netted us our only two scum. Patrick has to be town. I am town. Jack is scum. That means his teammate is one of Hammond, Timothy, and Henry. Hammond being the scum blocker and Jack a JOAT is the only way I can resolve the blocks from last night and the night before. I’m certain Jack is scum. I’m slightly less certain Hammond is scum. In every situation I play out Jack is the Godfather. In only some (but still most) situations I play out Hammond is his partner. I would like to lynch Jack. @Jack Alden any scenario in which I am scum means Malcolm had to have been scum as well. That would mean 5 scum, which seems awfully high, even with as many PR’s as there seem to be. The thing that makes me think Hammond might not be scum is I think she would be going after lynching me harder than she is. Jack wants to lynch me. I’m the “easy” target and they’re awfully close to sealing a victory for the Imperials with only 6 of us left.
-
Jack. Lynch Jack. Jack needs to go. I could also plausibly see Hammond and Jack as scum together. Hammond pretends to block me, knows it can’t be verified since I don’t have an action, actually blocks Patrick since she knew he was going to block Jack. Jack killed Nigel and Hammond blocked Patrick. Jack is definitely scum and Hammond could be be scum. Jack needs to go today.
-
I think we should lynch Jack. I outlined my case for his being The Godfather yesterday. The janitor move and extra block make sense with scum having a JOAT of some kind. I think lynching Thomas today is a mistake. If he actually is the cop we’re screwed. Vote: Jack Alden
-
Or, as I said yesterday, they could have already tried to kill Thomas but the scum kill has been blocked twice (?) already.
-
I would be more confident in lynching Jack today than Chapman since we lose a lot more if Chapman is telling the truth about being the cop. Likewise I think it’s more likely Jack is the Godfather and duped Thomas than Jack and Thomas being scum-buddies.
-
I think it’s likely scum have a number of one-shot abilities, which would explain the janitor action and the unaccounted for block. That also means someone who hasn’t been blocked for the last two nights is one of the scum since both the extra block and the janitor action went through.
-
As far as I know I’m not lynchproof and Malcolm did not tell me he was anything other than another Mason. Someone (scum) messed with the result to put me on the hot seat. What if they were able to do that instead of killing? I still suspect Jack (coughcough GODFATHER coughcough) or Chapman since he was blocked.
-
What on God’s blue ocean??? I have... no idea. To my knowledge Malcolm was not a 3rd party, and neither am I. I think Henry is right in that scum have the power to obfuscate someone’s alignment hoping you’ll lynch me today.
-
Are all of Gordon’s inventions accounted for? He could have given scum a blocking tool by accident. Or they have a JOAT or something similar to counter the Inventor.
-
I have had no private communications with Chapman. I did not know I had been investigated until it was revealed in-thread.
-
It has been an honor serving with you, Malcolm, my brother. I fully expect to join you in the deep tonight. Your flipping town would confirm me as town, and the less confirmed townies running around, the better for the Imperials. I do not expect the blessing of Patrick’s protection since he obviously thinks me the Godfather, and you my accomplice. Such a thing could not be further from the truth. I implore you, when Malcolm and I are gone, when you know there was no lie in our bones, to go after Jack and Louisa, who have been trying to undermine the mason claims from the very beginning. Godspeed my friends.
-
?? I’m saying Malcolm being converted one night the scum didn’t kill is a dangerous possibility because my role said he was town, at least at the start, and I would let myself be lynched to clear him. The other options are you or Henry being Jack’s teammate, and you seem more likely than Henry. I didn’t even realize voting was open. Vote: Jack Alden It’s the only way things make sense, barring conversions, and we lynched Barty and Geoffrey on blocks/protections to account for missing kills, so the scum can’t be recruiting if we buy the classical mechanic that they can’t kill and recruit on the same night.
-
Except both Bart and Geoffrey ended up unanimous. Nobody was zealously defending either one. I would say the vote on Bart was more led by Henry and Patrick, and hammering Geoffrey doesn’t matter because everybody was lining up to lynch him after the blocks came out. I honestly don’t know how everything fits together. I’m certain Jack has to be the Godfather, and you, Henry, or a converted Malcolm is his teammate. I don’t like any of these options.
-
I’m certain Jack has to be The Godfather. The only thing I can’t explain is how both Chapman and Dixon got blocked last night. Or Malcolm got converted and I’m putting my life on the line for a scummo. When he flips I’d be auto-lynched as The Godfather. That’s a truly terrifying thought.
-
Except Patrick told Malcolm and I.
-
My theory assumes scum tried to kill Thomas Night 2 (but Barty was blocked) since they knew he was the investigator. Well, Jack, Triggs told Malcolm and I everything that was claimed, and process of elimination leaves you and Henry with the two role modifiers.
