  1. And likewise +1 to Fugazi - no problems!
  2. Updated my post with Series 6 today
  3. When I went to Tesco Home Plus at Nottingham on Tuesday it was £8.50, although I don't know if it's gone back up to usual price by now.
  4. I would seriously recommend the Winter Village Toyshop, especially at the sale price. I bought it at full price and don't regret it all. I think it looks much more impressive in the flesh than in pictures, and I found the build involved and enjoyable for a set of its size. Furthermore, you can display it at Christmas! Mine goes 'on display' in our living room with the decorations
  5. Definitely Blacksmith Attack for me too.
  6. That's some great decorating by both Stab and Lorax! Love the baubles containing the little models. When I saw the title I wondered if it was going to be a link to the one that ENORMOUS one that had been built at St Pancras Station in London!
  7. Nottingham Teso Home Plus has PoTC Whitecap Bay for £35.50 and PoTC Captain's Cabin for £7.50. They also have lots of Friends and some Ninjago 2012, but I didn't look at prices etc.
  8. Have updated my post in the trading thread :)
  9. Got PoTC 4181 Isla de Muerta for £8.50 (RRP £19.99) from Tesco store today. There was also PoTC 4192 Aqua de la Vida there for £14.97 (RRP £19.99).
  10. I've tried to message you, but as you're a new member it wouldn't let me. I have a spare lumberjack if you're still looking for him, and I would be interested in trading it for your gorilla suit guy if he's still available?
  11. +1 for RJH too; very straightforward!
  12. +1 for darkdragon - thank you very much!
  13. Some very clever building there!
  14. What an excellent set and review I'm very sad that this set came out at a time when I wasn't interested in Lego; have kept an eye out for it ever since I've been back into it but it has always sold above what I've been able to pay on eBay unfortunately. This review has made me covet it even more!
  15. HAVE Opened, but with checklist and all accessories Series 5 Lumberjack x 2 Zookeeper x 1 Cavegirl x 1 Series 6 Alien x 1 NEED Series 5 Cavalryman/Royal Guard Series 6 Statue of Liberty Genie Surgeon UK TRADES ONLY PLEASE. I'm on the Eurobricks straightshooters list, and have good feedback on eBay http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=yetis_cave&ftab=AllFeedback
  16. That's a really excellent brickbuilt LDD; details are lovely and very in-keeping with the feel of the building in the books and films, even if not 100% physically accurate regarding number of bedrooms etc. Very nicely done Would love to see this as part of a further HP wave, but maybe TLG don't perceive it as having had a sufficiently central role to create it.
  17. Very excited to read Geertos' email from Lego; a glimmer of hope that there will be more HP Lego. Fingers crossed!!
  18. Really love this MOC; reminded me a bit of the Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris! It's very effective and I wish I had enough imagination to create such things
  19. This set came out in my Dark Ages, and ever since I got back into Lego I've been trying to get it at a reasonable price. However, having seen such a thorough review, I think I'm perfectly content with my 4842! I know 4842 has its faults, but I think it appeals to me personally more than 4709, despite its retro charm. So thank you, Clone O'Patra, for preserving my bank balance for another set by your excellent review :).
  20. That looks great! Really looking forward to seeing the creations for the other movies/books
  21. Just on a slightly different note, but still regarding eBay, I was wondering if any of the seasoned eBayers can help me. Yesterday I won an auction for Diagon Alley. It was described as 100% with box and instructions (but not sealed). I won the auction at what (seemed to me) to be a very reasonable price, and paid immediately via eBay with PayPal. This was around 14:00. At 21:45, I got a message from eBay saying that they thought the sale might be a fraud, and not to pay for the item if I hafn't already. Apparently, since I had won, the seller had removed the item from eBay (and, I discovered on checking, had also cancelled their account!), and thus any payment wouldn't be covered by eBay's protection scheme. The seller had 20 100% positive feedbacks, and I had no other reason to be suspicious. As I paid before the eBay warning email, it appears my money will be protected and I can claim through eBay for it. Has this happened to anyone else? Was it easy to get your money back through PayPal? Any tips for avoiding it happeneing again? I always thought feedback score was the best indicator, but it appears I may have ben wrong! After 6 years on eBay, and nearly 200 transactions, I've been very lucky never to have had a single problem, so this was an unpleasant surprise
  22. Thanks everyone for the welcome For those who asked, my arm is getting better, thank you, but still a little way to go with it. Good excuse for building more Lego as far as I'm concerned!
  23. Your attention to detail is excellent; I love all the potions bottles lining the back wall!
  24. Thank you both
  25. Hi everyone, I have been lurking around reading the boards for a while now, and thought I should finally post here to introduce myself! I was a big fan of Lego when I was younger, and remembered how much I'd enjoyed it when I then cleared out a cupboard and found it all when I was about 19 (I'm now in my mid 20s) and loved building all the sets again in order to photograph them for sale on eBay (really wishing I hadn't done that now!). However, I finally emerged from my 'Dark Age' at 21 when I had an accident which severely damaged my arm and hand. I spent months in Occupational Therapy, which was usually boring and painful, until the lady treating me asked one day if I had any building bricks I could use as part of the exercises. Out came the Lego which I hadn't sold in the clear out 2 years' previously, and I was hooked again! In case anyone is wondering, my username comes from the fact that the Black Monarch's Ghost set (6034) was both my first, and my particular favourite, when I was little.
