Thanks! I didn't use any digital designer program making this and I also have several parallel projects going on where I use gray bricks, so it's hard to tell how many pieces I've used, unfortunately The size is approximately 20 cm deep, 29 cm wide, and 60 cm high (to the top of the tower). Without the main tower and the roof spire, the building is 36,5 cm high.
Thank you! Both the City hall and the King's House @ Grand Place are some magnificent pieces of architecture! It was exactly that kind of visual expression I wanted to recreate 😁
Thanks! I was surprised at how well the trans-red headlights blended in with the other "red flowers". I think it added a deeper shade of red
Thank you very much! Regarding the fireplace, I actually borrowed that one from the Harry Potter 75954 set
Thank you! yes, my citizens should be very happy with their physical surroundings, they're pretty Lucky
Thank you! You got to use all those lightsabers for something! Only downside is that once you've used up all the ones you have, you suddenly have to buy more I'm also happy to have incorporated the columns from my childhood 6090 Royal Knight's Castle, which my mom gave away most of the pieces for
This is my take on a gothic city hall for my medieval city diorama, inspired by the Brabantine gothic city halls of Brussels, Leuven & Oudenaarde.
If you like gothic architecture, also check out my Cathedral
Hi, I made a MOC of a Gothic Cathedral and have posted it in the historic themes. Is there some Way to share this in other forums if it can be of interest in other themes?
Really good job with this! I especially like the bay window and the work you've put into making it look bitterly cold with the snowy details. I'm almost freezing just looking at it!
Thanks for all the nice feedback :-)
It is precisely the overwhelming richness of details ment to inspire awe in the gothic architecture that fascinates me with these cathedrals. Glad i managed to capture a hint of this effect
One of my sources of inspiration proportion wise, was actually the neo gothic Votivkirche in Vienna :)
Thank you! Actually I did managed to squeeze a small bell into each tower (Just below the middle of the bell tower window)
So, I've build this cathedral as the centerpiece of my planned medieval city. It is a product of chance and compromise, inspired by Europe's great medieval cathedrals, with the aim of capturing the essence of gothic architecture.
