Now I'm reading Energy: A Beginner's Guide by Václav Smil. The book begins with an explanation of what energy is and then proceeds to more complex things, such as conservation of energy problems, the search for efficient and environmentally friendly fuels. There also addressed interesting questions related to the manufacturing in general and climate change.
