Sure. I took some photos of the connection to help. Check the other images on my flickr. -

All my tracks rely on baseplate. I was not able to make them stand alone. -

I confirm that I was reproducing the slope based on Masao Hidaka design as found on his YouTube Channel. I had to stop the video a lot of time to get the idea right (and to cut come LEGO too :-) ) Since then, I found a smooter way to build a slope. Photos are on my Flickr. The idea is to make the slope the same way we do the curve, but by flipping the rail 90 degres on its side. I have 7 2x2 at the top going down and 7 2x2 at the bottom going the other way to make it bend. The middle is just a strait rail 5 plates thick. The hard part was to make the link between the rail and the slope. I will have to take more photos to show you how I manage that, but you get the idea. (Hint: I used 6016172: Angular Plate 1,5 Top 1X2 1/2 and the bottom one - the 2x2 in light gray in the photo). -

First, I really love the look of that Space Monorail. Second, I really love it! ;-) Third, it might be a little heavy for slope, but I still love it. Good job. -

I did a one day expo today, so I went with less stuff than last time. I builded a station for the monorail to stop and take passenger using the PoweredUp (Batmobile) and WeDo 2.0. The monorail did over 600 stops, I had to change batteries once and they died 15 min before closing. Pretty proud of that little ride! Hi, I manage de WeDo 2.0 community page on facebook and just found that video of some kids playing with WeDo 2.0. They did a monorail! WOW Impressive what you can build when you put your mind to it. -

Hello everybody. As I told you, I'm happy to share videos of my Space CRS Monorail on our collaborative moonbase as seen at Brickomanie 2018 in Québec, Canada a few weeks ago. It runs on Power Function with rechargeable battery pack and two motors. I've tried it with the new PoweredUp (from the Batman Set) and it wasn't as strong. Need to do more test out of the expo. My switch were supposed to work on EV3 but I never got the time to build the sensor and add it to the display, so I was just switching them by hand (Actually, by having another motor plugged into a motor, you can make it turn!). Anyway, this was made possible because of you all sharing your ideas. Thanks a lot. -

Hi Asper, My moonbase monorail will be part of a bigger display at Brickomanie, the Canadian LEGO expo. https://www.facebook.com/brickomanie/ My train station will be connect to other moon base module so that a minifig can "walk" from one end of the display to the other inside the base. Thanks for your comment. -

Thanks to the instructions found here, I've builded a little display that I am testing. Trying to make it fit on grey base plate to make it part of a moonbase for my next expo in november. Sorry for the mess around it, still WIP. I expect to use the EV3 ultrasonic sensor to spot where the monorail come from and change the rail accordingly... but I still have a lot of work to acheive that. -

Going Up, Going Down. I've tried many technic to make the rail go up and down, but Masao's technic work very well. I'm still waiting for my Bricklink order to build more rail and design my setup and add a moon base with it. I'll also try to do switchs... with EV3 :-) -

After a lot of testing and rebuilding, I'm happy to share this version of my Classic Space monorail. My first CRS rails were made with bricks like in Masao Hidaka's video, but I found out that is wasn't strong enough as only one 1x2 is holding the rail. https://youtu.be/mqYmFWg_tVc (If you check out Masao's last videos, you can spot that he added an extra layer of plate at the bottom of the rail). I tried the instruction published here by @djm with @Mark Bellis design and it work way better as two 1x2 plates hold the curve together. As I had a lot of 1x2 transparent plate on my hands, I found that they make a very "spacy" rail. I ordered 800 blue plates to complete my setup. The train is powered by two PF motors and the rechargeable battery pack is in the middle. The two connector stacked on top made the wagon more high, but that's ok. I can slow it down as the rechargeable battery pack come with a dimmer. The train was acting weirdly in the curve at first. I discovered that the bottom guide were too far apart. With no way to move them closer, I just took the back one out and it worked. The ride is still a little more wobly. I might add the support back by removing on powered wheel by train, having just the front one driving the train and the back one running free. Next challenge: build some hill to go up and down. Your ideas are more than welcome. Again, thanks for your help, this tread was my homepage for all my summer vacation! -

Hi, awesome stuff here, you guys inspired me a lot. (I'm new here btw, I use to do brickfilm on youtube) I share my very first try below. My next step is to build a different train using technics you shared here. I'll make sure to share photos and videos. Thanks to all of you.
